Description: From the classic catalog, the VCX-820 was made in a time of constant war and that time seems to have come again. Boasting an incredible eight autoblasters and three dual heavy laser cannons, the VCX seemed more a small warship than a freighter, and that was what it was originally designed for. The 820c keeps all those systems and specifications, updating software and hardware for a modern setting. Optimally, the ship would have eight crew but the guns can all be remotely controlled from the cockpit.
Of course, like its original template, the 820c suffers from a number of problems given its very focused design. Whereas other light freighters might have a hundred metric tons of cargo space, the 820c has a pitiful one ton. As well, the strong power drain of maintaining all the guns does reduce its speed to something more comparable to a heavy freighter, but given its small size, it's an ambiguous trade-off.
This particular 820c sports a matte-black hull painting at the customer's request.
