STRENGTHS

• Shock: The OAG is designed to dive into the atmosphere and drop to the ground on a direct way, using its fall and speed to deploy its troops as fast as possible.
• Tanky Taxi: The Stormeagle is designed to keep its passengers alive during its deadly and foolhardy drops, there it is protected by thick armour and even deflector shields.

WEAKNESSES

• Flying Duck: The OAG is not made for dogfighting and will easily be torn apart by experienced fighter or interceptor pilots due to its low maneuverability.
• No Jumps: The ship does not have a hyperdrive and is dependant on carriers and warships to carry it into battle.

DESCRIPTION
The assault lander used so far was definitely sufficient for the needs in less contested areas and theatres where air dominance was assured, but the Order leadership requested a new dropship which would also fulfill the role as a supporting gunship. Therefore Macharian Industries set itself on the task of developing a new craft.

The Orbital Assault Gunship, called Stormeagle, was the result. A heavily armored gunship which could carry troops directly into battle without the fear of being immediatly shot down by anti-air and with the power to defend its landing zone or clear it on its own. The ship is getting widespread approval by all who tested it.
