OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
SETTING INFORMATION
  • City Name: Reyoarfell
  • Classification: Capital City
  • Location: Danarium, To Be Submitted
  • Affiliation: Danari Kingdom
  • Population: Heavy
  • Demographics:
    • 99% Danari
    • 1% Other
  • Wealth: Medium
    • Most individuals living within Reyoarfell are freemen and women, full blooded Danari who make their own personal decisions and choices in life. No one who lives in the city proper lack job or homes, and can be guaranteed to have a steady flow of income and food entering their homes. The further you travel from the city proper, you find farms and other estates, upon which live the slaves and thralls of Danarium. They work the fields and mines of the city, funneling their work so that their Danari lords may profit.
  • Stability: High
    • Reyoarfell, like all capital cities of Earldoms, has a standing army of several thousand Sword Danari, the warrior caste of their people. These warriors are sworn to follow the orders of their Earl without question or hesitation, and will ensure no one dares breach their Earls laws. Above the Sword Danari are the priest caste of the city, hundreds of men and women who spend every day giving religious guidance and advice to the citizens of Reyoarfell. The temples close connection to the Earl ensures that loyalty to one often brings loyalty to another, and the deep rooted codes of honor held by all Danari makes thoughts of rebellion or anarchy highly distasteful.
  • Freedom & Oppression: [ Describe the atmosphere of freedom in this city. Are the people fairly free or is oppression of society and commerce heavy? Does it have a dictatorial ruler? Is fear of the ruling body prevalent? Relaxed and open? Is anything unusual illegal or permitted? ]
  • Description: [ Provide a description of this city at a glance. More in-depth descriptions can be added in points of interest. ]
POINTS OF INTEREST
  • Earls Hall: The Earls Hall is built upon a large platform at the upper most level of Reyoarfell. The platform the hall is built on is roughly a kilometer in diameter, a massive construction with several small ponds, gardens, and gathering areas spread out across it. Ten smaller platforms jut out from this main platform, with each one leading to one of the ten main temples for the Danari pantheon. The Earls Hall itself is a three story tall stone and wood structure, with massive and heavily inscribed doors leading into the hall, and a avian skull nailed to the top. The interior of the hall is built around a large central hearth, ten feet across in every direction and always lit. Wooden tables draped in green and orange cloth, the colors of Earl Bjorn line two sides of the hall. These tables arc towards a central, elevated table upon which a throne can be set when needed. Balconies line the floors above the main one, with the top floor dedicated to the Earls sleeping chamber, personal armory and worshiping shrine.
  • Temple Mount: Located on the same platform as the Earls Hall, the Temple Mount encompasses the ten platforms connected to the central one. Each of these separate platforms is half the size of the main one, upon which massive stone, wood, and metal structures have been built. A temple to one of the ten major deities in the Danari pantheon are built upon each platform, and their positioning and placement ensures that they are visible from almost every location in the city below. Each temple is wildly different from the next, each one built to the traditional standards and specifications of the priests and priestesses within.
  • Tomb of Ancients: The Tomb of Ancients is an underground catacomb built by the ancient builders of Reyoarfell. Here, honored warriors, nobility and priests can find their final resting place, overseen and protected by the priests of Nembar, the Danari God of the Underworld and Death. The entrance to the Tomb is watched by two massive stone sentinels, carved in the image of the first two Earls who ruled Reyoarfell. Inside, level after level of chambers can be found, lit by torches constantly replaced by the Nembar priests. Shrines for offerings and sacrifices line Tomb, and priests of Nembar are on hand at all times to offer their guidance and wisdom to those who enter their Gods domain.
  • Passage of Vanheim: Located a level below the Temple Mount is the Passage of Vanheim, a highly religious and important structure to the Danari people. Within the stone hall are ten statues, each carved in the image of a god or goddess, and an even larger archway. A pool of ever shifting colors and lights. A priestess of Eskolar, the Chief Goddess of Magic and Knowledge oversees the Passage of Vanheim, and guides all supplicants through the arch. No one knows exactly what properties the Passage of Vanheim arch uses, but upon stepping through its center, individuals will suddenly lose all connection with their physical bodies. Those who undergo the experience say it is as if their minds are taken elsewhere, to a realm of pure color and creation. No one remembers what this journey is like entirely, but all say that it is a connection to Vanheim itself, the realm of the gods and goddesses.

SECURITY
[ Provide a Security Rating (choose from: None, Low, Medium, High, Maximum) and any specific security assets in list format. What defenses does this location have, including internal and perimeter defenses? Please note that the rating is relative to the type of location this is. Normal civilian locations have a different scope in security, compared to military locations. As such a primarily civilian location with a Maximum security rating is not on the same level as a military base with a Maximum rating. Consider the ‘Stability’ and ‘Freedom and Oppression’ fields when working on this section, and make sure these reflect each other in your final submission. Please link rare or uncommon tech/equipment to the SW wiki article or Factory-approved submission. Common canon items do not need to be linked. ]

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
[ Include a description on the city's history here. Detail how it came to be created and why. Talk about the people involved in this city's history and expansion; and what role it played and still plays. For historical cities, if you so desire, you can include events from the Chaos Canon timeline or board history where appropriate. ]
