Reuniting With The Rangers (Antar)

The Teferi

Standing in the middle of the briefing room, the GrandMaster of the Jedi Order stood at parade rest. His blue eyes were simply fixated on the massive hologram before him. The gas giant took up most of the room even in miniaturized form, but the focus was on the five moons around it. He mentally went over his notes once more on the entire region as he waited for the Jedi assembled on the vessel to meet him. Of course he had come early as always, it was his habit, and by nature a need due to his position. How else could he set a good example for the Order to follow if he merely was lax in his duty and responsibilities? I have become my own worst nightmare, he thought to himself as he remembered how he had mocked such Masters in his youth.

It seems we do become those we wish not to when responsibility is thrust upon us.

Taking a moment to adjust the heavy robes he was wearing, he began to pace. Looking over to his personal guard, Seroth Ur-Rahn, he managed a smile. That boy never does let up on his duty, and truth be told Darron was grateful for the company. It helped that he served in the same unit as him, and that they worked closely together. "You need to go ahead and take your seat my good friend. You need to be sitting down and listening to this as well."

Turning his attentions back to the display, he made sure to put up indicators for the points of interest. A few more idle moments went by, and soon Jedi started to fill the room. Good, we can get this started. I'm ready to get this mission rolling so we can aide them.

"Please be seated everyone, we will be started soon."

The Jedi Master once more took up his parade rest stance, and patiently waited.

It was then with quiet repose Ronin slowly enter the briefing room glance about silently. Eyes no less cautiously take account of those present as at the same time he searched for his Master. Fidgeting slightly with the collar of his newly press tunic with his left index finger. As if anything else with much that had transpired once before.....have to donned the uniform and be back in these halls. No less was somewhat a bittersweet reality as far he was concern.

But at any rate once inside and not seeing his Master there yet he ops to stand aside. Wait by the doorway.....lean slightly on his side and keep out sight of the others for now. As he patiently waited for either his Master Sky to walk in or have the proceeding start soon.

Ventasia sighed as she sauntered down the hall towards the briefing room. Apparently, something was going on. That, or she'd found herself in some major trouble. After all, being summoned by the Grandmaster can't be good. Nonetheless, she found herself pacing towards the briefing room, with no idea of what to expect. Truthfully, she didn't really even care. Her mind was filled with her own thoughts and agendas, and she really didn't want to be bothered by what anyone else had to say. Of course, saying all that still wouldn't get her off the hook.

The door slid opened as she stepped into the dimly lit room. There, in the center of the room, stood the Grandmaster himself. The expression across her face remain unchanged as her gaze layover him for a moment. She remained in the back of the room, leaning back against the wall, her own thoughts jumping about her head as she awaited the start of this meeting. Or, the end of it, more so.

He was a holovid hero. That's why he was here. The young Jedi poked around the Tefari. The ship of course was made on Antar. The mission made sense. The Antarian Rangers were close to the Jedi, having been formed to support them in their effort. Cai examined his Echani shield unit making sure that it was functioning. He may have been training as a Jedi, but he wasn't comfortable relying only his skills with a saber to stop blaster bolts. Cai moved into the briefing room and waited for the others to join them.

Rosa offered the Jedi already present a friendly smile as she entered the room, though she did not take her seat immediately, she closed the distance between her and Darron and planted a kiss on his cheek, giving his hand a small squeeze before she moved away to take her seat, her eyes settling on the holo image before them as she made a note of the points of interest before closing her eyes and slipping into a meditative trance.

She might as well take advantage of other peoples tardiness and clear her mind so she could focus on the task at hand.

Taking a seat in the briefing room Kalia looked up the the hologram in front of her noting the indicators as she guessed that was where they would be heading in groups she assumed. She had never been to Antar before so she was kind of excited to get this mission underway. Kalia had always loved exploring, adventures and the like so that was just a bonus to what they planned to do there.

Glancing around the room she noticed Jedi still filling in and taking their seats. Patiently she awaited the start of the meeting studying the hologram for now as she was sure that it would come in handy later on when she ended up getting lost on the planet hopefully not this time though. She came prepared with a spare compass this time. Getting lost though always seemed to work out in her favor though as she found the most interesting of items or people as she tried to make her way back.

Jaxton Ravos

Mindwalker of the Outer Rim
Jaxton entered the meeting room of the Teferi, and saw a seat near the front. He leaned over to begin walking to take it, but before taking the forward spotted saw a speckle of what appeared to be . . . fire at the edge of the room. He recognized the fire as his former apprentice, Ventasia Terana. As much as tried to exclude herself, bright red hair would draw nothing but attention. So instead of the front Jaxton made his way to the back of the room and leaned against the wall near the newly knighted @[member="Ventasia Terana"].

"You ready?" he began the conversation softly and cordially.

The Eternal Queen
Feena took a seat herself near the front. For this she was dressed in deep plum colored robes that went all the way down to the floor. On her feet were long black leather boots. Her long wavy dark hair was pulled up into a braided bundle at the back of her head. She was ready, as she always was, for whatever could come their way.
She sat up straight as a needle with her hands folded in her lap. Always a Lady first.

Fresh off the mission on Cato Neiomodia, the Republic was at it again, this time on Antar. He never got excited about these things, so much killing and death was involved, but their relationship with the Republic needed them to come and aid them on such ventures. Ben was normally very peaceful, and all of these missions and planet takeovers were getting a little much for him, though he understood the need for them. If they wanted to stand a chance against the growing Sith threat they needed to control as many planets as possible. The Republic was strong, but without the Jedi, they would be no match for the Empire. As much as he disliked it, it was needed, and Ben was never above doing his duty as a Jedi.

He was just glad that the Jedi were even a thing considering not too long ago it had been non existent. Now they were thriving, full of new Jedi, and an entire Republic to stand behind. This is what cheered Ben up as he crossed the Teferi wearing his normal battle attire. It differed very little in his usual attire, the main difference being the protective gauntlets that were hidden under his robes, protecting his wrists from any stray lightsaber strikes. Being as defensive as he was, he needed all the protection he could get, and the gauntlets provided just the protection he needed.

Spotting Darron, he was met with curiosity as to how he would respond to his recent affairs with Sky, he was sure they would talk about it but Ben was not sure if he was ready. For thirty years he had stuck to the Jedi Code, never faltering, and now he was doing what he had preached against for years. Though they were technically allowed to be involved in romance, Ben has always been a believer that having ties like love could be his downfall, because if push came to shove he would do anything to try and save her and he was not sure that was a good thing.

"On time today I see, Jaxton." He smirked and gave Jaxton a pat on the back as he walked past, Jaxton had arrived late to multiple events, and it had become sort of an inside joke among the members of Adamant. He almost chuckled out loud at the thought of Jaxton jumping from the Teferi to try and land on the transport as they made their descent to Coruscant to fight the World Destroyers. "Hope everyone has recovered well from our latest adventures." He addressed everyone in the room as he took his seat alongside Darron. We can talk about my personal life in private, if you don't mind. Ben sent the message to Darron through the force and gave him a look saying that he would rather discuss things with just Darron rather than everyone in the room.

The jade eyes of hers' gazed at Jaxton for but only a moment before returning forward. She didn't really care for his attempts at being friendly. After all she was Knight now. Which meant she didn't have much use for him. Her expression didn't change, her body remained still. Her body language said more than enough. "Ready? For what? A pointless assignment that gas nothing to do with me? Or to waste my time claiming another planet? If you must know, I'm just ready to get on with it already. I've grown sick of being stuck here in this temple. That's what I'm ready for."

There was... a burr of anticipation for this day. Seroth's feet bounced with a spark in the balls of his foot-soles, strides long, purposeful, carrying him from station to station across the vessel. His usually dour practice sessions with the privacy of ident-sealed quarters were crisp with restrained energy, face painted with wistful smiles. Purpose. That was the key difference. Bloated Antar and her trailing moons weren't another simpleton Admirality exercise for the Republic to flex their Naval might and bring a rowdy sector under heel. There was no political conniving, no guilting of alleigances. The Jedi were not here on a Senator's whim.

The boy, so short against Darron's taller, muscular frame, nodded his deference and strolled forward off the projector dias. Behind, just off his shoulder, great and fat Antar's holographic representation spun on a slow axial tilt, wreathed in high-atmospheric storms typical of a mighty gas giant. Like jeweled motes, the tiny masses of the five moons clocked about in their own predetermined orbital patterns, at risk for one day, many thousands of centuries on, plunging into Antar's storm belt and impacting with the surface. Seroth regarded the pattern a long moment, nodding slightly. Whatever fortunes this mission held, the Universe would slug on at its own pace. A comforting notion. He traded his standing position for a low seat, waiting on the audience to quiet and for Darron to reveal the events that had set this forceful gathering in motion.

It was then seem that his time spent out in the mean streets outside the Temple walls had now somewhat come in handy. For standing just barely out of sight of the others in the foreground. Ronin stood and observe the come and going of the other Jedi as they enter.....of which some he observe. Nonchalantly slip in to be seated... other like himself waded to wander or stand back in the foreground round the large holvid of the briefing room.
Of which far he could tell as it caught his attention showed the outline of a fairly sized gas giant encompassed by five moon. And in them were faint glow of indicator lights for what he assumed be key point of interest in this endeavour. At any rate giving the holo-vid a once look over to copy into memory much the layout as he could note from his vantage point. That he then leans back to raise cross his arm over his chest and let out a slight sigh of mix impatiens. For have be stand round here idle......Add to which slight curiosity and worry as to why his Master had not arrived yet?
At which time thought he was tempted search her out his attention was soon distracted briefly by sound a loud voice in the distance.

"Hope everyone has recovered well from our latest adventures."

Of which he briefly attributed note but ops not reply back to....unsure if it was meant for him or someone else. Of which turn his attention back those gathered.......strangers no less in his eyes.

Lysander stood with arms crossed. His white and cream colored robes contrasted with the darker tones of his giant Herglic companion, Hion of Giju. The two of them stood side by side in the briefing room of the Teferi. The gathering Jedi milled about, waiting for Darron Wraith to proclaim the plan. The Lord Protector of Suarbi, now just humble Padawan, rested an idle hand on the grip of his Death Hammer blaster pistol. More akin to a carbine than a pistol, the powerful weapon packed the destructive energy of a rifle into a weapon the size of a large pistol. Heavy with a short range, it was favored by the Imperial Royal Guard. And for good reason. A single bolt could punch through plastoid armor with ease. He wore no lightsaber.

Over his white and cream robes he wore a plastoid breastplate of white, with bronzium etchings and matching greaves. Without a lightsaber, he would be vulnerable in combat to blaster bolts. Besides, he was a padawan. He did not have the luxury of dodging explosions and incoming fire with ease. However, he was an experienced General, despite his relative youth. He knew one end of a blaster from the other. Six years campaigning against pirates and not a few close quarters battles boarding ships. He would be ready for what came. As would Hion. He glanced over at the Herglic.

The Herglic stood beside Lysander. Like the human, he wore no lightsaber. However, strapped to his back was a power generator linked to the two T-21s slung across either shoulder. The power generator would give his weapons enough juice for indefinite sustained fire. Who said padawans were defenseless? Hion blew air through his spout. He was restless. Waiting always made him restless. He fiddled with dice in his right flipper. Odds rarely went in his favor in games of chance. On the battlefield, it was a different story. Hion's relationship with war was a long, complicated, and painful one. Kiara was helping him to see through that darkest of oceans, but it was deep, deep beneath the waters and the pressure seemed crushing. He was not sure going on this mission with the Jedi was the right one. But... he was a Jedi himself now. Or at least one in training.

He waited with the rest, a giant amongst humanoids with his massive bulk. His XXXXXXL dark grey robes could not billow, stretched tight as they were. Hion feared he would rip them to shreds in battle. Ah well, he would find another. It pained him to wield those T-21s again, but it was necessitated by the threat of battle. He would not go in without teeth to bite.

Darron kissed Rosa's cheek as she went to be seated, then nodded towards Ben after receiving his message. You got it brother, I wasn't even going to mention it. If his fellow council member could keep his mouth shut about his private life in public, then Darron could extend the same courtesy. Besides this mission had nothing to do with their romantic lives, thus there was no need to discuss it. A small grin crossed his handsome face as he rose from his seat and walked towards the center of the room. He could feel all the eyes of those assembled on him, and the idle conversations around him soon died down. There would be no call to silence any of them, they knew what they were here to do. So it was that soon you could hear a pin drop in the room, and the GrandMaster soon stood to his full height and moved to full view of everyone.

His voice didn't need to be amplified, such was the quiet in the room.

"Glad to see everyone made it in once piece, and pretty close to on time."

The joke was a bad one, but it got his point across that he wasn't happy with the tardiness.

"Now, on to business. The world before us is a Antar, it's moons are what we are concerned with. Envoys have already reached out to the Jedi and helped build the very ship we are currently on right now. It's been over 400 years since they have been with the Republic, and we need to find out what is left on moons four and five." He pointed to them as the console highlighted them and zoomed in on their holographic projections at the same time.

"A few days ago, pirate ships were spotted in this system near Antar 4, and they have since moved to Antar 5. My team will head to Antar 5 to deal with the pirates. I want a team of healers and diplomats to go to Antar 4 and begin diplomacy talks and help where they need it. If any others have any other ideas, or would like to link up with the Antarian Rangers, please step forward. If not, and there are no other questions. Please just get up and leave, we have a job to do and no time to waste."

It was then just when he all but seem grow ever more impatient on how things were going. And in the mere fact there seem to wall in a very curious pair.....of a lone human and his strange creature companion. Both of which at best drew his ire attention not so much if anything else than the fact. As far he could assume them be of some lofty rank...enforcers or lawmen?....especially for the human. Dress as he was upon entering and arm to the teeth was his companion....he could not help but be all the more wary and cautious of them. For that much was certain in his mind that other than the council his view of those in authority was less than stellar. But none the less his attention was then soon distracted by the one who came stand before them speak.

"Glad to see everyone made it in once piece, and pretty close to on time."

His word perhaps was meant as either a joke or an icebreaker sort address those gathered. Before he launched to speak about the come proceeding was no less lost to him. As was if anything come from the kind history that he was.....he was all business. And that was all matter him from here on.....

"Now, on to business. The world before us is a Antar, it's moons are what we are concerned with. Envoys have already reached out to the Jedi and helped build the very ship we are currently on right now. It's been over 400 years since they have been with the Republic, and we need to find out what is left on moons four and five."

The Jedi then end up to speak pausing briefly.
"A few days ago, pirate ships were spotted in this system near Antar 4, and they have since moved to Antar 5. My team will head to Antar 5 to deal with the pirates. To which with fairly little hesitation he then spoke not a word and proceeded to exit alongside the other. Ever keep a watchfull eye round ....as he hope to catch sight of his Master.

Jaxton Ravos

Mindwalker of the Outer Rim
Many would've been turned off by Ventasia's hostile response, but Jaxton knew her well enough to know that she could have said much worse, or nothing at all. Her response indicated, at the very least, a willingness to talk to Jaxton. It was not a great deal of progress, but it was indeed progress.

"You know you can request assignments right Ventasia? And as a member of the Council I can personally leverage for you to get what you want? You can sign up for the Militant and get more combat duty, the Shadows and find remnants of Sith Artifacts, and many other assignments. I can put you where you wish, but you need to tell me where." Jaxton said softly, and then stopped as Darron turned to address the room. The room grew quiet, and the Grandmaster spoke of Antar's fourth and fifth moons. Four would be greeted by the healers and politicians of the Order, while Five would be sent the more combative Jedi. Jaxton knew he was slated to go to Five, but he didn't know if he was a part of "The Team" anymore.
"I'll see you planetside." Jaxton said to Ventasia and left her, going towards the Grandmaster. He came quickly, but as he approached the man his mouth grew quiet, his words slow.

"Orders Grandmaster?" He asked, wondering if he was return to the Adamant or would be sent under the supervision of another.

A'donari had spotted a seat on the opposite side of the table that Darron had stood at the front of. The weight or lack their of resting on his side was new and strange while he walked. Having recently been given the honor of crafting his lightsaber under Master Ben's supervision it rested clipped to his padawan robes taking the place of his long time weapon of choice a vibro sword. It was a large step that he knew deep down he had earned it. His master had never been one to speak out appraisal if A'donari hadn't worked hard for it. A lesson he was putting himself up to began as soon as Ben walked into the room. Learning didn't always come from being attached to a Master's hip. It was just as important to take in their presence in situations such as these so A'donari chose to find a place away from Ben. His Master was strong and confident which showed through his kindness and connections with the fellow Jedi who clearly respected him as much if not more than himself. A'donari felt a sense of pride well inside him that he was being trained by someone so honorable but let it vanish as he washed such feelings away. His mind needed to be focused on the task at hand, Antar, and that was exactly where his mind was going to be. He looked to Darron just as he began to speak.

"Now, on to business. The world before us is a Antar, it's moons are what we are concerned with. Envoys have already reached out to the Jedi and helped build the very ship we are currently on right now. It's been over 400 years since they have been with the Republic, and we need to find out what is left on moons four and five." Please just get up and leave, we have a job to do and no time to waste."

With out a word or question A'donari stood like the rest of the Jedi in the room and made his way to his Master. A'donari tried not to show it but he was eager to receive his assignment from Ben. He spoke before reaching his Master sending his thoughts to him with his Twi'Lek telepathic abilities. "Where do you see me being best utilized during the coming mission, Ben?"

Rebellious Vanguard
Ventasia's eyes shifted toward Jaxton as he spoke. She hardly cared for what he had to say, even if it was in her benefit. She simply didn't care for his words, or him for that matter. That was until he spoke of certain ventures.

"You can sign up for the Militant and get more combat duty, the Shadows and find remnants of Sith Artifacts, and many other assignments. I can put you where you wish, but you need to tell me where."

It was an opportunity. A chance to study something she knew the Jedi would forever hide, especially from the likes of her. The simple thought of getting the chance to look into something that could provide her more insight into the power of the force intrigued her. Of course, through all this thinking, her expression never once faltered. Without a doubt, if she showed such an interest in Sith artifacts, she'd never be allowed near them. This had suddenly became a game of strategy. One that she knew full well she could win. "I guess I'll help the Shadows, considering it'll get me far from here." Her words were dry and stoic, as they thad to be to conceal her purpose.

Her eyes traced Jaxton as she bid her farewell and headed toward the Grandmaster. Ventasia simply shook her head as she left the room, giving a quite snide remark towards Jaxton, even though she knew he'd hear none of it. "Only if your lucky." In her mind, she could only hope that was being sent to the fifth moon where the action was. Though, with her luck, she knew full well she just may end up with the diplomats. If the latter was the case, she just simply hoped they'd turn to 'aggressive negotiations'.

Under tutelage from Ben Watts, Lysander had begun elementary training in the basics of Force Healing, which he proved to have considerable skill at. In addition, the Jedi Master had begun to instruct him in the theories of Battle Meditation. A fascinating ability, which could be used to change the outcome of entire battles. Such power in the hands of one individual was an incredible revelation. Lysander had not known that the Jedi possessed such power. He dreamed of one day using such an ability to exterminate pirates from the galaxy. Which brought his thoughts to the subject at hand.

To go with the diplomats, or to help eliminate the scum of the galaxy? The answer was clear. While Lysander was sure that he would be of assistance in diplomatic meetings, he yearned to rid space of vermin. The Suarbi merchant turned to Hion.

"Old friend, I will be accompanying the strike force bound for the pirates. You know how I loath them. What say you, will you join me?"

Hion hauumed. "I do not carry these repeaters for show, Lysander. Harum. It will be a pleasure to fight by your side in battle once more, though you know how i abhor violence."

So you say, but in the thick of battle I would not guess so. He kept his thoughts to himself. Best not to upset the sensitive giant. Gentle though he often seemed, Hion's temper was terrible to behold. Lysander's multi-colored eyes, one brown, one blue, blinked. A small smile crossed his lips. They moved to fight again. Only this time, as Jedi. He strode forth, Hion's thundering steps behind him, and boarded the shuttle headed for Antar 5 along with Darron Wraith and the others.
