Aileni stumbled through the temple, T11 had been the only one that could pilot the ship back here since the pain of his injury was too severe for Aileni to force on anything else. Unfortunately, the reckless Padawan had to make his way through the hangar and to the medical ward in the temple. Being double crossed was something that Aileni was always aware of due to holovids and from the lessons he had in Jedi Shadow work but he didn't think it would happen so early in his work. The hunter was only suppose to show him where some Sith tech was. Nothing massive or going to destroy either Sith faction but something that Aileni could bring back to the Order and show that he was ready to be involved in more dangerous Shadow work. Arriving at the location though, the hunter revealed that he had a deal with the Sith for Aileni's body. First couple of shots hit their mark before Aileni could end the hunter's life.

Now, the injuries were bleeding quite a bit but Aileni stumbled forward. "Should have never trusted that hunter... frick... instincts knew better. I knew better..." Aileni growled at himself, mumbling critiques just to keep awake and keep moving forward. Collapsing now would be bad. Aileni leaned against the wall, hoping that would keep him upright as he pushed forward. Mind thinking where he could have done things better. What he needed to do in the future to prevent this. The Force Healing he attempted to do only worked a little, he couldn't handle all the shot wounds so just made sure the worst ones were not as severe.

Entering the med ward, Aileni's exhausted, pain wracked body collapsed to its knees. The emerald eyes pierced through his ebony fringe towards those in the room. "Help me..." It was all the young Padawan could utter before unconsciousness dragged Aileni away and his body completely passed out and fell to the ground. The pain, the injuries and the sheer level of exhaustion in trying to stay awake finally took the toll on his body.

The healers worked quickly. In this line of work, they had to. Injuries rarely waited for convenience, and neither did the Force's endless stream of wounded.

Pari had spent years studying medicine under one of the Temple's chief healers. Unlike many Padawans, her path seldom led her into the field. Instead, she spent her days among bacta tanks, medical scanners, and patients in need of steady hands. It was work that often earned her ridicule from some of the other Padawans, who viewed healing as less glamorous than lightsabers and missions.

Their comments stung more than she liked to admit.

Still, the work suited her. Pari had always been a gentle soul, patient and compassionate, rarely shaken by even the worst injuries that came through the Temple's doors.

But today was different.

Today, she was rattled.

The Padawan brought into the infirmary was more than just another patient. He was a childhood friend, someone she had known for as long as she could remember. Seeing him unconscious and covered in blood had sent a cold knot of fear twisting through her stomach.

The healers had done their work, however, and the prognosis was good. His wounds had been cleaned and treated, the worst of the damage repaired. He rested now in one of the smaller recovery rooms in the Temple's hospital wing, fluids and pain medication dripping steadily through an IV.

Pari sat curled up in the visitor's chair beside his bed, her knees tucked against her chest. She had spent every night there since his arrival.

The healer in her knew he would recover. His vital signs were strong, his injuries healing exactly as they should.

The friend in her wasn't nearly as convinced.

She wanted him to wake up and see a familiar face waiting for him. To know he wasn't alone.

Though, if she were being honest, once he was awake a stern lecture about exercising better judgment might be in order as well.

The Padawan awoke with a start, as if even in his dreams, there was no peace. His emerald eyes looked fearful, angry for a moment before that subsided and he adjusted to where he was. Memories slowly returning to him, as the Shadow remembered the injury and the suffering he had endured to find his way back to the Order. Controlling his breathing slowly, Aileni couldn't really remember his dreams, whatever had him waking in such a startle. All that returned to his mind was a distant howling that felt like it was coming ever closer.

Aileni could feel a presence in the chair as his hand touched around his body. Seeking the drips and attachments that he craved to remove from his body. "How long have I been unconscious for?" Aileni asked, his voice was deep, rumbling like thunder as he spoke. His bare torso was covered in tattoos, all connected to the Jedi and to Dathomir. He feared that he had been sleeping too long, too much. There was work that needed his attention still and there was a bounty hunter who Aileni wanted to ensure faced karmic justice.

He paused as he went to remove the drip in his arm. "Pari?" Tilting his head to look and see the Padawan in the chair, a face he had not seen in a while and not one that he had been expecting to see. "I..." Aileni swallowed hard, stunned that his friend was here.

She had drifted to sleep sometime through the night and when he woke with a start her teak colored eyes opened. She sat up slowly, watching as he adjusted to where he was. He recognized her and she smiled warmly at him.

“You’ve been asleep for three days. Your injuries are healing nicely.”

She got off the chair and clicked a few things on his monitor, then placed her hand upon his head, and traced her fingers down to his neck, counting his pulse. She seemed satisfied with the answer and moved her hands downward, swatting at his own that seemed to want to rip out his iv and drips.

“Its nice to see you again Aileni, but you scared me.”

She let her hand fall to her side and the clinical calculating look fell from her face, replaced with the emotions of a friend.

3 days... It was 2 days too long in his mind.

"I should have woken up after two." Aileni grunted, annoyed at himself for resting too long. It was lost time that he could have poured back into his work, work that was too important now. There was so much he needed to be doing.

Feeling Pari's hand swatting at his own as he attempted to remove the IV drip and such, Aileni looked over to Pari surprised and a little annoyed. "I need to get going, been here far too long. Work I need to do." Aileni explained although he did stop attempting to remove the stuff. Probably for the best since he was sure that it would not turn out well if he removed the drip and such poorly.

Shrugging his shoulders, "what I do is scary work Pari. I hunt down cults, cultists and I fight to end Sith oppression. Injuries happen, it's why I tried learning some Force Healing so I could keep on top of the worst injuries but seems I have a long way to go before I can consider myself decent at that." Aileni gave a small chuckle at the end, trying to keep upbeat since even though he did not see the way he lived as dangerous or reckless. He was still in a positive mind.

"How have you been since we last talked?"

"You can't leave until you are healed; otherwise you will just hurt yourself again." She knew he was going to try to argue but she would not hear one word of it. If he got himself even more injured, then he wouldn't be any good on a mission. Healing was important.

"How have you been since we last talked?"

"Okay, mostly. I've been working a lot in the hospital because my master still has not returned." She shrugged, though she was worried about her master and she did have to admit that it was frustrating to feel her training was not progressing. Pari was a calm person though and things rarely rattled her.

"How have you been? I can't believe how big you got."
She grinned at him.
