Private Reunions and Recklessness

Location: Naboo - Shiraya Temple
Outfit: Stealth Jedi
Equipment: Dathomir Energy bow, practice saber
Tag: Pari Sylune Pari Sylune

Aileni stumbled through the temple, T11 had been the only one that could pilot the ship back here since the pain of his injury was too severe for Aileni to force on anything else. Unfortunately, the reckless Padawan had to make his way through the hangar and to the medical ward in the temple. Being double crossed was something that Aileni was always aware of due to holovids and from the lessons he had in Jedi Shadow work but he didn't think it would happen so early in his work. The hunter was only suppose to show him where some Sith tech was. Nothing massive or going to destroy either Sith faction but something that Aileni could bring back to the Order and show that he was ready to be involved in more dangerous Shadow work. Arriving at the location though, the hunter revealed that he had a deal with the Sith for Aileni's body. First couple of shots hit their mark before Aileni could end the hunter's life.

Now, the injuries were bleeding quite a bit but Aileni stumbled forward. "Should have never trusted that hunter... frick... instincts knew better. I knew better..." Aileni growled at himself, mumbling critiques just to keep awake and keep moving forward. Collapsing now would be bad. Aileni leaned against the wall, hoping that would keep him upright as he pushed forward. Mind thinking where he could have done things better. What he needed to do in the future to prevent this. The Force Healing he attempted to do only worked a little, he couldn't handle all the shot wounds so just made sure the worst ones were not as severe.

Entering the med ward, Aileni's exhausted, pain wracked body collapsed to its knees. The emerald eyes pierced through his ebony fringe towards those in the room. "Help me..." It was all the young Padawan could utter before unconsciousness dragged Aileni away and his body completely passed out and fell to the ground. The pain, the injuries and the sheer level of exhaustion in trying to stay awake finally took the toll on his body.

The healers worked quickly. In this line of work, they had to. Injuries rarely waited for convenience, and neither did the Force's endless stream of wounded.

Pari had spent years studying medicine under one of the Temple's chief healers. Unlike many Padawans, her path seldom led her into the field. Instead, she spent her days among bacta tanks, medical scanners, and patients in need of steady hands. It was work that often earned her ridicule from some of the other Padawans, who viewed healing as less glamorous than lightsabers and missions.

Their comments stung more than she liked to admit.

Still, the work suited her. Pari had always been a gentle soul, patient and compassionate, rarely shaken by even the worst injuries that came through the Temple's doors.

But today was different.

Today, she was rattled.

The Padawan brought into the infirmary was more than just another patient. He was a childhood friend, someone she had known for as long as she could remember. Seeing him unconscious and covered in blood had sent a cold knot of fear twisting through her stomach.

The healers had done their work, however, and the prognosis was good. His wounds had been cleaned and treated, the worst of the damage repaired. He rested now in one of the smaller recovery rooms in the Temple's hospital wing, fluids and pain medication dripping steadily through an IV.

Pari sat curled up in the visitor's chair beside his bed, her knees tucked against her chest. She had spent every night there since his arrival.

The healer in her knew he would recover. His vital signs were strong, his injuries healing exactly as they should.

The friend in her wasn't nearly as convinced.

She wanted him to wake up and see a familiar face waiting for him. To know he wasn't alone.

Though, if she were being honest, once he was awake a stern lecture about exercising better judgment might be in order as well.
