Returning with a New Account

A returning player who is currently suffering from (hopefully minor) medical debacles (including chronic depression) who decided to return and take his RPing a bit more seriously and reverently.

I'll be reposting a few of my characters slowly over time, and perhaps even make a few new ones to begin again. I'm happy to have found my way back. Happy Roleplaying, everyone! Let's keep the fun and the EU going forever!

I've been gone for about a year and a half or so due to a combination of a misunderstanding that left me deeply ashamed and some intense medical scares that kicked in and are continuing to this day (if I disappear again, it may be due to having gone blind, sadly, just so you know).

Long story short, watch your sugar intake and be sure that you DON'T become a Type-2 Diabetic - it's overrated.

if it is your characterr then yeah you could though I would say talk with John Locke or Srina Talon and see if your old account is still around they might be able to reset it and recover it for you.

I'm pretty sure it's gone - I personally deleted everything before leaving last time. It's probably best to begin anew.

What have I missed?

First thing's first: we had a timeline update this year. The year is presently 902 ABY.

Next up is some changes to the major players on the board:

• The only Major Faction (that is, factions that end up on the map) that's still around from a year and a half or so ago is The Sith Order (TSO).
• The Galactic Alliance (GA) ended its half-decade run as a Major and became a minor faction just this week.
• Every other Major currently in existence became a Major from December 2024 or later. This includes:
  • Black Sun Syndicate (BSS) - crime, obviously
  • The Diarchy (TD) - unique faction run by some really nice folks; 'fraid I don't know the faction all that well
  • Galactic Empire (GE) - technically a resurgence from another Major faction called the Dark Empire, from last year; evil
  • The High Republic (THR) - the only current democratic, lightside Major at this time; full disclosure, I am an admin for this faction
  • The Imperial Confederation (TIC) - not evil, despite the 'Imperial' in their name
  • Mandalorian Empire (ME) - not the warmongering type of Mandos, to be clear

I encourage you to check out the faction page for each current Major, and see what they're about, in accordance with what types of characters you end up writing. They all have something different about them that separates them from their Canon / EU counterparts, or the ideas their faction names conjure up may not align exactly with what the faction is, due to the lore they were grown out of.

That all accounts for the majority of the differences from when you were here last!
