Return to the Dread Moon

Oricon.jpg

Location: Oricon
System: Oricon System
Region: Outer Rim Territories

Deep in the Outer Rim Territories, past Korriban, Ziost, and Dromund Kaas lay a moon with a dark secret. Hidden away in the Oricon System was a moon that upon first glance looked to be an insignificant rock, however one accustomed to the ways of the Force would sense something sinister, the feeling of dread, the lurking power of the Dark Side. At one point the moon was subject to great experiments of Sith Alchemy by Darth Vitus, resulting in monstrosities that plagued the world until they died out thousands of years later. Most notably, the moon held the stronghold of the Dread Masters who left the Sith Empire during the Galactic War to stake out their own domain. The Dread Masters performed dark rituals of great power through their mastery of the 'Phobis Devices' and brought dread to both the Sith Empire and Rebublic until their defeat. The moon was lost to history shortly after the end of the Galactic War, throughout the ages it's secrets remained hidden from prying eyes until the arrival of the Dicidius Legacy decades ago.

Now the last remnants of the Dicidius Legacy had returned to their home, years had long passed as the desolate moon called to them through the lure of the Dark Side. Sovereign stared out of the cockpit window of the 'Emperor's Wrath' as they approached the volcanic moon, a hand patted Sovereign on the shoulder only to be followed by the voice of Lord Havok, "Welcome home."

The landing craft entered the atmosphere with relative ease as they began their descent the vessel picked up turbulence from the massive storms blowing ash and sand across the mountainous landscape. Volcanoes erupted with great force as they witnessed the massive graveyard of Republic and Sith warships still littering the plains of Oricon. Flying over the remains of a Harrower-Class Dreadnought, the 'Emperor's Wrath' flew towards the remains of the slaughtered colony of Lithins, their former home. Located at the base of a mountain, the colony laid beneath the looming fortress of Lord Havok only miles away from the ruins of the Dread Fortress itself. The pair had returned home after their many adventures across the galaxy, Sovereign's training had entered a new phase and he had to be prepared for what was to come.

The light corvette slowly landed outside the colony near a old abandoned landing platform, due to Lord Havok's failing health the two had returned to their long abandoned home. Lord Havok himself sought to claim the former Dread Fortress as his own, however his body had begun to fight him at every chance. He would have to accelerate his plans soon or fall to his greatest fear... death. Sovereign on the otherhand was to be endure trials in the long abandoned fortress of the Dread Masters while his master recovered from his recent setback. Whatever fate had in store for Sovereign.... it was not pretty.

An unknown force had stalked the duo from Coruscant, and their ion trail would only attract more to the isolated moon.

Jumping out of hyperspace into the vast emptiness of the void came a freighter with a lone occupant on a mission. Inside the cockpit of this lone vessel sat the pilot rested comfortably in the shadows. As the autopilot disengaged the chair began to spin around to face the glass outlook facing Oricon, slowly the pilot opened his eyes revealing a human male in Mandalorian armor. The male slowly moved his hand upward toward his face as he shook off the grogginess. The male grinned with anticipation as he gazed upon the desolate moon, "Found you."

The Mandalorian had travelled quite the distance in hopes of tracking down two Sith, one of which had acquired quite the bounty from the Hutts on Nar Shaddaa. Despite the small fortune that awaited whoever captured this rogue Sith Lord and his apprentice it wasn't the credits that drove this Bounty Hunter to Oricon, it was revenge. The Mandalorian had come all this way, tracking down his prey from Coruscant in hopes of striking back at his newfound rivals for the defeat suffered on Nar Shaddaa while protecting his former employer, Jinouga the Collector. Time was of the essence here, it wouldn't be long before others discovered the long lost location of Oricon, they would try to encroach on his bounty and payback that awaited the Sith duo.

The piloting Mandalorian slowly reached down for his helmet which rested right below his chair, slowly Julm donned the Mandalorian helmet as he prepared himself mentally for the battle to come.

Upon stepping on the surface of the desolate moon the young apprentice of Lord Havok was in utter awe. Sovereign had never understood why his family had chosen the deserted volcanic moon of Oricon as their home, until now. The potency of the Dark Side was great here, it had saturated the moon with it's presence since the time of Darth Vitus. Sovereign had felt the call of the Dark Side, the call of home and longed to be in it's seductive grasp.

Shambling behind the young apprentice was Lord Havok, ravaged in body and mind, the poor soul barely kept himself together as he limped his way to the surface from the vessel known as the Emperor's Wrath. "I see you've recovered master." Sovereign had taken note of the dangers the Dark Side could take on the body of those who were foolish in their pursuits of power. The Dark Side was a tool, losing control of such a tool would result in the being standing before him, a being left to rot from his pursuit of forbidden knowledge. "I am fine." The Sith Lord grunted as he brushed past his young apprentice in an attempt to keep up his façade of power. What a foolish notion, Sovereign was no fool and was not taught to be one. With Lord Havok's continued degeneration came a price, his willpower. At first it was only a trickle, then slowly more and more the young apprentice probed into the mind of his master who solely focused on holding his body together and in his distracted state was losing ground as his apprentice invaded his mind.

Sovereign knew, of yes he knew of his master's devious plan to take control of Sovereign's body. The apprentice made no attempt to call him out, he would eventually fall to his own power and then in his weakest moments the apprentice would strike him down and claim what was rightfully his... the Dicidius Legacy. Although he was a mere apprentice, he would easily be a match for the fallen Sith Lord who could not even walk let along fight against his prodigy. Sovereign had already secured another master to teach him, a stronger Sith Pureblood master known as Darth Vidar. Lord Havok had been deceived, and soon this deception would lead to his downfall, it was only a matter of time. Sovereign inhaled and slowly exhaled as he breathed in the ash filled air that littered the skies of Oricon, he was home at last.

The lone Sith wandered the village of his birth, the colony of slaughtered slaves and traders who held loyalty to Lord Havok and his lineage before ordering their deaths at the hands of Sovereign. The young apprentice realized the purpose of such slaughter, Lord Havok was very skilled in the way he molded Sovereign with such a trial. Not only had he proved his loyalty, Sovereign had fully submitted himself to the Dark Side, any semblance of morals had been cast aside as he slaughtered his friends and family in an inhuman rage that he drew power from. Sovereign had moved from building to building killing everyone he met in blind anger, his hatred directed towards those who did nothing while he suffered beneath the stronghold of Lord Havok. Sovereign still had the scars as a reminder, beneath his white robe were dozens of scars still visible from his training as a boy.

Sovereign slowly continued drawing on his memories, slowly moving down the streets of the small colony until his gaze met that of the mountain side stronghold that towered over the village of Lithins. Lord Havok's stronghold, the place of his torment and pain, the place where 'Sovereign' was created. Sovereign gazed back at the sight of Lord Havok struggling to follow behind. It was disgusting, the man was a shadow of his former self, the ravaging effects of the Dark Side had accelerated after the events of Nar Shaddaa, it was on Coruscant that the Sith Lord attempted to perform yet another ritual to preserve his body only to be met with failure. Lord Havok planned from that day forward to accelerate his plan of taking Sovereign as his vessel, something Sovereign did not intend to let happen.

The young apprentice turned his gaze from the sight of his master to the sight of a broken down speeder bike covered in rubble from the chaos seven years ago. "We will need speeders to get to the Dread Fortress.."

"No."

"No, you will need a speeder. I have... preparations to make for your next step in training. When you complete your training in the Dread Fortress come find me at my stronghold. We can... discuss what you find there before beginning your next step in training."

Sovereign grinned, noticing the subtle notions Lord Havok gave, "Yes my master."

Landing on the surface of the deserted moon was a simple task, there was no detecting his approach as he moved over the vast graveyard of vessels from the ancient Galactic War that was waged on the moon long ago. There was no records of any colonies or cities on the desolate moon due to it's harsh environment and dangerous terrain, so the question was. "What the kark are they doing here?" Julm speculated for a moment at his enemies purpose here on Oricon, it had long been forgotten by many except various traders and pirates that passed by. As the vessel approached the ruins of Lithins the ship slowly moved to land in a hidden area along one of the various plateaus not far from the village to avoid sight of his vessel. It would be some distance to get to his intended target, however it was worth keeping the element of surprise.

As the vessel dropped it's landing gear the hatchway ramp opened, as the vessel made a complete landing the Mandalorian stepped off of the ramp onto the surface eager to hunt his rivals.

Sovereign was by no means a mechanic, yet with his perception and investigative glance at the old speeder bike he found only a few parts merely out of place and rusted. Replacing the parts with others from the second speeder was no chore even for one with no background in mechanics. Easily the apprentice made the repairs to the speeder bike and fired it up, mounting the bike he quickly made his way out of the village towards the Dread Fortress in anticipation for the events to come. He had hoped to spend more time in the village, possibly exploring his old childhood home before he was moved to Lord Havok's lair, yet such thoughts betrayed him. He had purged himself of any connection to this place long ago and did not have any emotion, no remorse for the things he had done.

Hovering across the barren wastes of Oricon toward the Dread Fortress the young apprentice felt a massive pull in the force, the call of the Dark Side grew stronger and stronger as he closed in on the Citadel. The Dark Side remained potent and powerful in this unholy place, a single light shined from the tallest tower of the citadel from far across the volcanic landscape. It wouldn't be long before Sovereign would reach the long abandoned ruins and begin his final trial under Lord Havok, he expected a trap of some sort to weaken him for Havok's ritual, he would take care to avoid such deception if he was to survive on this dread moon.

Flash! Zooming across the barren landscape now adorned with strange flora scattered amongst the rock formations, Sovereign gazed at the looming Dread Fortress on the horizon. A single dim light shined from the tallest spire of the dark citadel as he moved across the volcanic landscape, wizzing past several large trees of some strange alien origin, the young apprentice pressed down on the throttle and quickly leaned to the right. The speeder bike quickly spun to the right at an angle of 90 degrees, within moments the speeder bike slipped through a crevice between two large rock formations successfully making it through to the other side. Spinning back into normal riding position the apprentice found himself in a strange area filled with large trees and strange flora, the ground itself broken with rivers of lava pouring from small volcanic geysers. The ruins of several large columns littered the area as did several pieces of a large terraforming device used by the Dread Host.

Sovereign slowed his approach dramatically as he inspected the ruins that led to the fortress looming overhead, much of the Dread Fortress had fallen into disrepair if not complete disarray. Sovereign halted his approach as he stood before the entrance to the Dread Fortress itself, the entrance severely damaged from battle. The apprentice slowly dismounted from his speeder bike and gazed at the fortress in awe, a sense of dread and fear filled the air yet the apprentice remained unchanged, on the contrary it only drove his interest to explore the abandoned structure. Sovereign entered the ruins through the large hole in the massive set of jet black durasteel doors that served as the entrance to the Dread Fortress.

Entering through the long black corridor, Sovereign gazed at the rubble that filled the aisle way as he slowly made his way towards the large double doors at the end of the hallway. Hanging above the apprentice was many decorative pieces of artwork mimicking the form of Sith Holocrons, this art would act as lanterns in the dark, shining with a dark red glow to light the ruins from above. Sovereign was in utter awe at the architecture of the Dread Fortress, it was beautiful in a dark way, a dreaded way. The young apprentice imagined the large red banners that once proudly hung over the aisleway and the forces that patrolled the fortress in service of their dreaded masters. Reaching the large double doors at the end of the large corridor, the Sith reached out with the force to push open the large doors slowly. Dust and rubble slowly fell from the doors and ceiling above as the doors opened. Light forced itself way inside the corridor as Sovereign gazed at the large courtyard and fortress walls around, in the center of this fortress was the Dread Palace, the spire that still shined with a light atop it's tallest tower.

Sovereign smiled with a sense of self discovery as he gazed at the massive spire in awe. This was shortlived, interrupted by the appearance of two starships flying overhead towards the looming spire. Mercenaries... bounty hunters... was this the trap Lord Havok intended? No merely a setback for the apprentice, they would be dealt with in due time.

"What happened here?"

Julm slowly entered the small, desolate colony of Lithins in utter shock at the damage before him. He was unaware of any life existing on this moon, the village had been abandoned for almost a decade by the looks of the weathering on the buildings. Slowly the Mandalorian trekked through the village gazing at his surroundings, his foot brushed against the burned skeletal form of a man who long since decomposed after his death. Julm gazed down in horror as he soon noticed many others like him in various areas, hidden from view these bodies were of different species, most likely workers trying to make a living. "What could of done this to all these people?" Julm's eyes moved onward toward the landing area outside of the village, it was there that the Emperor's Wrath stood in plain sight, the personal starship of his rivals, the very ship he tracked here to Oricon.

Julm's face filled with anger as he looked onward toward the starship, as he moved forward his attention was diverted by the sound of starships zooming off in the sky above towards his rear. Moving off into the horizon they flew towards what looked like a rocky region where a lone tower was visible, it had seemed that the other bounty hunters had come following his lead after all. Julm had hoped to use them to weaken the Sith Lord while he took on the apprentice, yet ever since the death of his valiant leader Mand'alor.. his plans had changed. Julm now sought vengeance himself against the two, the bounty money would only sweeten the deal. "Wonder what's over there... fools are going the wrong way."

As the Sith Apprentice moved toward the looming spire overhead he quickly caught the glimpse of one of the intruding vessels making another run above the courtyard. Slowly the vessel began to circle the courtyard, they were looking for something or better yet... someone. Sovereign growled as his anger intensified, the intruders were encroaching on sacred ground, the haven of the Dread Masters who waged war against both the Sith Empire and the Republic in an effort to terrorize the galaxy into submission. The legends of these deeds had been passed on throughout the Dicidius Legacy as it was one of their very own that aided in putting the Dread Masters down.

Sovereign slowly began to pace back and forth, seething as the vessel moved in with the apprentice in their sights. Being spotted by the mercenaries was hardly a concern for the Sith, the problem lied in the vessel itself hovering downward to drop off it's occupants. Armed with a dual laser cannon mounted on the belly of the vessel, Sovereign would have to think fast if he was to avoid being blasted to bits by the vessel. The Sith Apprentice thought hard and fast, quickly he reached out through the force to grab hold of a large chunk of debris from the ruins of the walls around them. Sovereign quickly lunged the debris into one of the stablizers of the vessel, boom! The rightside stabilizer of the vessel suddenly went up in flames as the debris hit it's mark, the vessel slowly tipped toward the rightside wall of the fortress crashing as it lost control. Thinking fast the Sith leapt down as his senses went crazy, falling onto his hands the apprentice avoided flying debris as the ship collided with the wall.

Rising slowly from his prone position the apprentice rose to his feet as he gazed at the devastated vessel, Sovereign sneered as he approached the wreckage of the ship. Unclipping his lightsaber, the apprentice released his crimson blade as he slowly approached the vessel, he would not allow anyone to leave this planet alive.

Brushing through the twisted, broken metal debris, Sovereign reached inside the cockpit of the crashed vessel to pull out the pilot. Slowly the Sith pulled the male Duros pilot out of the broken cockpit, the male was heavily injured but alive. Sovereign let go of the man and motioned upward with the palm of his hand, slowly the man rose as he was suspended midair by the Force itself. Sovereign grinned as the pilot barely maintained his consciousness, "What are you doing here filth?"

Coughing out dust as he slowly climbed out of his daze the male merely spat at the Sith. Sovereign growled as the male's spit hit him in the face, "I see." Sovereign extended his hand further and focused it into a grasping motion, slowly he began to choke the mercenary, "Do you feel that chill down your spine? This hold I have over you can be fatal, I can crush that pathetic throat of yours at any time or rather let you slowly suffocate. Would you like that worm?" The mercenary desperately thrashed about for air as he suffered from Sovereign's hold over him. A sense of sick satisfaction overcame the apprentice as he slowly choked the life out of the mercenary, and in the coming moments the mercenary coughed up an attempt at words. Sovereign instantly released his grip, dropping the male to his hands and knees, "Yes?"

Coughing as he gased for air the male Duros sung, "We were here for the bounty... we were originally subcontracted by a Bounty Hunter... Julm Surma. He cut us out so we followed him to take the bounty from him."

"What bounty?"

"Lord Havok and any affiliated Sith."

Sovereign's eyes narrowed as he listened to the words of the male, "I see." The mercenary slowly exhaled as a sign of relief, "So will you let me live?" Sovereign merely chuckled at this notion, "Oh no... I never agreed to that my friend." Extending both hands outward, the merciless apprentice unleashed a volley of Force Lightning into the unsuspecting mercenary. The sounds of his screams sounded off through the courtyard as he was tortured to death slowly at the hands of Sovereign.

Thud. The fried head of the lifeless mercenary pilot dropped to the floor, repeated punishment from Force Lightning had taken it's toll on the male. The sounds of lightsaber meeting metal followed the fall of the bounty hunter, swings from the saber sounded off as Sovereign slowly cut his way into the wreckage to finish off any possible survivors. Requisitioning a vibroblade and a thermal detonator from the bodies of the fallen, the young apprentice abandoned the wreckage in favor of moving forward. If anyone had survived the wreckage they had been lucky to escape the gaze of the Sith.

Sovereign slowly moved through the courtyard to the large set of double doors endorned in dark artistic designs befitting a Sith stronghold. The male pushed open the doors, forcing light through the darkened chamber as the massive set of durasteel doors slid wide open. The chamber before him was massive, ancient and decayed to no end, trickles of light seeped in from the massive cracks in the ceiling above. In each corner of the massive chamber stood obelisks with large green pyramids, stark reminders of Sith Holocrons yet endorned to represent the feeling of dread. Slowly the apprentice analyzed his surroundings, it wasn't the bounty hunters that bothered him, no... it was Lord Havok's 'trial'. No doubt this trial that Sovereign had been sent on was merely a way to weaken the apprentice so that his body could be taken as Lord Havok's new vessel.

Despite any setback planned by the Sith Lord, Sovereign held the upperhand and the element of surprise due his skillful secret probing of Havok's mind.

The Dread Throne.

The Unholy Bastion, the Nightmare Sanctum. Sovereign entered the very chamber that was once occupied by some of the most feared Sith Lords of the Old Republic. The fact that the thrones of the Dread Masters still stood in place untouched by nature as the rest of the room fell into disrepair was awe inspiring, the presence of the Dark Side was strong here, almost like he was standing on a nexus of energy. He felt a sense of fear rose from within as he approached the Dread Throne straight ahead of him, he did his best to quell such childish emotions, it would seem the Dread Masters' power still lingered in some form after all this time, receded, weakened but still there...

Approaching the throne slowly his heart began to race in anticipation, however he was not alone as his eyes quickly picked up on the shadow of a lone figure moving into obscurity behind the Dread Throne. Anger gripped over him as he demanded the figure to reveal itself, "Show yourself heathen!" The shadowed figure of a man stood in wait for a moment before moving into the light, entering the light that trickled down from the cracks in the ceiling above stood the figure of his long lost brother, Jassan.

Sovereign gazed upon the figure of his would-be dead brother, one of two he was able to puppeteer to their own demise, yet somehow the man stood before him alive. He noticed quickly the various cybernetic enhancements implanted into the man before him, obviously to replace any lost limbs that were removed during the battle between the three brothers. Jassan stood at the ready showing off his new cybernetic arm and artificial eye implanted in his right eye socket. Sovereign gazed at the man in horror as the elder brother ignited his crimson colored double bladed lightsaber, "What's wrong brother? You look like you've seen a ghost."

"Jassan... how?"

"You left me and our dear brother to die in that chamber. You sacked our home, murdered our servants. WE WERE FAMILY! You killed our mother... she may have not of been 'Sith' material but she was the only light in the dark."

Sovereign still held reserves for killing his mother, his emotionless slaughter of his family was one thing but his mother... he had stalled at the moment of killing her, fuelled by the unnatural brainwashing from Lord Havok and the rage accumulated over years of torture he struck the finishing blow. That was years ago, he still wondered if it was his own will that carried out the slaughter or Havok's. "She held me back.. as did you."

"FOOL! You only served HIS purposes, you are a slave nothing more and soon you will be the lifeless husk HE needs. You have ruined my family and for that you have earned my ETERNAL HATRED!" Leaping forward from the throne toward Sovereign, Jassan swung downward with a heavy strike to catch the apprentice offguard. Sovereign immediately ignited his saber in defense of this but was unprepared as he was lashed at by the repeated strikes of Jassan. "I've been trained to defeat you... I know your every weakness Tyhjyys!" His anger built up inside as Sovereign listened to his brother's taunts, cartwheeling to the side the apprentice rose his hands and unleashed his anger into the form of Force Lightning, "Die... again."

Sovereign's lightning rippled through the air with fierce intensity, Jassan rose his saber in defense as his lightsaber deflected the lightning into several directions, "Submit. You are nothing!" The lightning became stronger and stronger as time progressed, Sovereign knew the short fight would end soon, he wasn't worth the time wasted here. His ego distracted him, he was not ready for the counter attack thrown at him by Jassan.

Flipping his double bladed saber around quickly he deflected the bolts toward Sovereign sending the Sith apprentice flying across the chamber. Thud! Sovereign crashed against one of the looming columns that decorated the chamber. "You think your hate is greater than mine!? Do you believe you are really special? Uncle's droids healed me... fixed me... made me into this... thing! I've been trained on this barren landscape for nearly a decade to defeat you. There is nothing you can do to defeat me."

Sovereign hissed in anger as he rose up from the ground hiding the large amount of pain he endured, he quickly attempted to re-establish the mental link he once held on Jassan in order to dominate his mind once more, little did he know it was a two-way street. As Sovereign reforged that old link he once held over his brother, thoughts of anger swept over him as his brother poured visions of his torture and pain into Sovereign. Jassan simply smiled as Sovereign gripped his own head in horror as he felt all the gradually endured the pain mentally that Jassan had experienced over the last seven years. His body dropped quickly as he slowly tried to conquer the pain, Jassan merely moved onward toward the apprentice chuckling at the weakness of his youngest sibling.

"You have been deceived... brother.... and now I will reclaim my birthright!"

His mind blurred, his chest burned from the intensity of his own lightning, and now his elder brother stood over him with the finishing blow ready. Despite being disorientated, unfocused, and wounded he still held on to one key thing, the will to survive. Hatred and fear of death flooded his being and in the process he opened up to the dark energies that flowed through the chambers, temporarily invigorated by the darkness that dwelled within. Sovereign's eyes flashed into a state of blackness with the red iris returning to the fold as he rose up and pressed both hands forward unleashing a massive wave of force energy that would send the elder sibling flying across the room while tearing up the flooring beneath Jassan's feet.

Eyes glowing like the twin suns radiating on a desert moon, Sovereign slowly strided towards his victim with his hand extended outward and as the brother rose again to combat Sovereign he found himself lifted off of the ground suspended midair by the hand of his brother. Back and forth he slammed his brother into the ground then proceeded to raise him into the air again only to repeat it three more times. Broken and defeated by the demon before him, Jassan only pondered how it came to this after defeating his brother so easily beforehand. Coughing up blood and on the verge of death he merely reached out to his brother as his brother stood breathing heavily from the built up anger and pain he was experiencing. Jassan reached out to his brother in an attempt of self preservation only to see that the man before him was hollow, consumed in the seductive power of the Dark Side, the man before him was the embodiment of death itself.

Jassan's head fell to the floor as death passed and in the moments to come a unnatural roar came from the mouth of Sovereign as streams of energy ripped out of Jassan into Sovereign's own body. Unnaturally so, the Dark Side fed off of the soul of Jassan and strengthened Sovereign in the process unintentionally performing the ability known as Force Drain. Sovereign's eyes slowly faded back to their sulfuric yellow state as he gazed at the lifeless body of his brother laying before him. It wasn't long before the sounds of mercenaries filled the adjoining halls signaling his time to leave, if he wanted any chance of surviving he had to leave the planet before Havok discovered the failure of Jassan in capturing Sovereign. He would have to return when he was stronger in order to combat Lord Havok, in this weakened state he was as good as dead if he stepped up against the Sith Lord.

Limping toward the exit he quickly hid behind one of the various columns as the bounty hunters entered the chambers, they quickly gathered around the body of Jassan giving the apprentice his chance to escape.

Slightly revitalized for the moment by draining the little life from his brother left but still in a weakened state mentally from the backlash of his 'gift', he pondered on the events that transpired for a mere moment while catching his breath. By giving into the Dark Side's seductive call from within the Throne Room, he had unintentionally drained his brother of his life from the sheer hatred for his kin and for Havok. How could this be? Had he had access to this power? Did all Sith have the capability for this ability, and why did he feel a unnatural desire to use it more? The sheer thrill of power was intoxicating and intimidating all the same, he wanted more but at what cost? Gazing down at the lifeless body of his brother the Dark Apprentice felt no sorrow or remorse for what he had done. It was survival... right?

The various memories of his torture at the hands of Havok's droids flooded into his mind, his anger built and built like the waves of a storm battering a rocky shore. He had been broken early only to learn the cold hard truth of reality, there is no family, there are no allies, there is only survival and the means to attaining it.. knowledge and power. Lord Havok had reveled in his creation from the day he broke the three brothers down, he had twisted their minds into believing they had been abandoned and he used the hatred Tyhjyys amassed to do his bidding and purge the weak from the bloodline once and for all. Even now as he gazed at the cold dead corpse of his brother he wondered, had he abandoned all traces of his humanity? Was he capable of feeling sentiment at all, or was he the monster Havok wanted all along? A mental decision had to be made... but not here.

Sovereign would do well to learn more on this ability before attempting to use it again, he had heard of the many flaws that came from draining foes and the drawbacks were not pleasing. Returning to the events at hand the Sith moved throughout the Dread Palace quickly attempting to avoid detection. It would only be a matter of time before Lord Havok realized that Sovereign had slain Jassan, he was obviously only meant to weaken Sovereign physically and mentally so Havok's work on snatching his body would be easier. A false hope indeed. Originally the Sith had planned to rid himself of Havok once and for all, this was not the case any longer. The trap was not as Sovereign had anticipated, Havok had saved Jassan from certain death long ago and gave him a chance for revenge. He used that rage to mold him into a weapon against Sovereign, even going as far as teaching the Sith how to counter Sovereign's attempt to dominate his mind.

Sovereign leaned against the large double doors pushing them open slowly as the ash filled air rushed inside. It was time to leave the Dread Fortress behind and get back to the Wrath. Finding and mounting his speeder the Sith took off in the direction of the village of Lithins, he would return to Oricon at a later date to finish what he had started. He was still young and brash his arrogance had blinded him, no apprentice would easily take on a Sith Lord even in a diminished state.
