  • Heavily Defended - Due in part to its lack of any kind of offensive weaponry, the vessel is heavily defended with multiple Deflector Shield Generators, AntiMissile Countermeasures, and various other Defensive Systems to ensure the safety and protection of the Passengers and Crew.

  • AR-0B Damage Reduction Armor Component - A hallmark of Von Sorenn Industries' Vessels, the AR-0B produces a constant ablative current that courses through the hull of the vessel. This current assists in the removal of harmful debris and substances from the vessel's hull. Likewise, the system furthers the longevity of the Hull, allowing the vessel to be operated for longer periods between maintenance, refittings, and ultimately decommissioning.

  • GalaxyGuard Mk VII - A system that has seen heavy use across multiple Von Sorenn Industries vessel designs. The system itself provides additional endurance and increased range to a vessel's Deflector Shields. Additionally, multiple systems - up to three in total - can be utilized to greatly increase these benefits to further enhance a vessel's shields.

  • Leisure Vessel - The vessel is in and of itself a massive cruiser liner that contains all the amenities and leisurely activities to keep a passenger content for the long cruise that these vessels frequently embark upon.

  • No Offensive Weaponry - Designed as a Civilian Passenger Liner, the vessel contains no offensive capabilities - nor is it not capable of being equipped with such weaponry without a heavily extensive and exhaustive refitting and design.

  • Short-Ranged Blaster Cannons - These defensive-cannons are predominately for show and to put passengers at ease. While more than capable of scaring off unorganized bands of pirates; they are no match for a more dedicated and focused band that believes the risk is worth the potential reward.

  • No Starfighter Capacity - Though the vessel maintains a vast hanger, it does not carry any offensive Starfighters. Rather, the hanger is often utilized for a passenger's personal Yacht or transport, Freighters to take on additional supplies, and general support craft that assist the vessel in its day to day operations.

  • Slow - As it is a Cruise Liner, the vessel is not designed for speed, nor is it designed for fast-banking or maneuverability.

  • Limited Onboard Security - Mainly for the passenger's benefit, the vessel maintains a small force of Security Personnel and Security Droids to keep the peace between the various species that embark on the vessel's cruise. If the vessel were to be boarded, this limited security force would be hard-pressed to hold the vessel and protect a large number of passengers.

The Resort-class Star Cruiser is a large Passenger Liner that contains a multitude of amenities and luxuries to keep passengers entertained, well-fed, and relaxed throughout their voyage. Boasting a Casino, multiple Cantinas and Dining Options, as well as a number of Shops, a Spa, and various Lounges - including some lounges that cater to the needs of specific species - the Resort-class Star Cruiser provides for passengers to travel in style. The most important thing to remember however is that the vessel is a civilian ship, thus it lacks the hallmark weaponry of vessels of similar size and profile. Though it more than makes up for this with its multitude of defensive options, from multiple Deflector Shield Generators and a Damage Reduction Armor Component to AntiMissile Countermeasures and Short-Range Point Defense Blaster Cannons. However, it should be noted that the Blaster Cannons are predominately for show and to ease the worries and fears of the passengers; as while they are more than sufficient to scare off most pirates, they prove useless against more dedicated and determined opposition.

Internally the vessel is protected by a series of internal security systems, as well as a small security force consisting of both Officers and Security Droids - though this force is large enough to ensure the peace between the passengers, it is otherwise incapable of holding the vessel and protecting a larger number of passengers should the vessel be boarded. For these reasons, it is highly suggested that these vessels only travel along scenic routes that are well patrolled and devoid of pirate activity for the safety of the passengers and the crew. In the case of an emergency - such as an attack - the vessel would prove incapable of outrunning or outmaneuvering an enemy, as its size and slow speed make it a tantalizing target. Rather, the vessel is better off hunkering down and hoping that its multiple shield systems are more than enough to discourage pirates and send them searching for easier, less well-defended, prey.
