SETTING INFORMATION
City Name: Republic City
Classification: Metropolis
Location: Carida
Affiliation: New Republic
Demographics: Open Public, all races can be found here.
Wealth: High, being the center of Republic Government it brings a large amount of the interest of the planet, it is also located near the Carida Academy.
Stability: High, built for the Republic nation and their Refugees the planet they already have a unity and loyalty to the government, but the Nations Military Headquarters is also in city.
Description: Build in the resent year after the invitation of the Republic Remnant, it was built with the Government Sector always at the center of the mind. Areas like the Spaceport, Industrial Sector, and the Merchant District were added later to the original plans. Centered on the Senate Building, the city was completed soon after the arrival of the Republic and before the reorganization into the New Republic.
POINTS OF INTEREST
Senate Building [Link]
- The Center of the city, the senate building is where the New Republic Government meets and do bureaucratically duties.
- This is the center of nearly all Military Operations and where the leaders of the Military meet with each other as well as leaders of the government.
- The area outside the Senate Building that was completed by the invited planets to compensate for the limited housing and working areas for the newly arrived refugees.
- The Spaceport was build by the Republic in hopes of relying on their own over the reliance of the other cities to be independents in case of emergencies. Later is was opened to the public and imports became cheaper due to its location near the capital.
- After the election of the 1st Chancellor of the New Republic, the government wanted to give reverance to its past and created a statue based on the stories of the 1st Supreme Chancellor of the Ancient Galactic Republic.
SECURITY
More of a capital city, it only has a Medium Security Force.
Any other security would be reliant on the military or planetary defenses.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Recently build on farmland that was no longer producing enough product, the land was sold to the planetary government for a small amount. This land was to be home of a small bureaucratically base for the government. However, after the fall of the Free Worlds Coalition the government reacted by inviting the Republic Remnant out to assist the defense of their world. Several other worlds also agreed, and started construction on Republic City.
In a short time, the city was completed on top of the old structures that were already there. With the arrival of the New Republic, also arrived the Refugees that they brought as well. As such the government agreed to add living quarters and areas of business. It was after that the New Republic Government also added the newer points of interest.
