Remnants

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
Lamia had researched all she could from the Holonet. All of her peoples' bastions had been destroyed... Korriban was a world for many Sith Lords, even those with almost no Sith ancestry. The planet of Tund was annihilated with an electromagnetic torpedo, killing the Kissai sorcerers still on the world. But there was one place mentioned in Jedi entries that remained untouched.

Kesh.

Perhaps it was a wild nerf chase, but Lamia hoped to find something of her species on the Keshiri planet. The Lost Tribe of Sith, they were called... How lost and isolated were they?

The ship she was in settled to the ground in a clearing on the planet's surface. As the ramp lowered, she could almost feel the Dark Side coursing through this world, calling to her like a second home. She would find something here.

She was sure of it.

He didn't take long to find her. Ships were not often for their neck of the galaxy. It meant someone was lost, normally. Still, he had picked up on the taint of the Dark Side on this ship. Perhaps it was no accident? It was not a far trip from Tahv and he was off the speeder before long. As he made his way towards the ship he noticed a Sith, an actual Sith, not just the title, in the clearing. This was an interesting development. Who knew there were still any out there? Perhaps it was a result of the Vong creating things that had been long dead? Who could really say at this point. Still, he knew they were decidedly prone to the Dark Side, and to treachery more oft than not. It was why the original Tribe had long ago wiped out what Sith had been with them.

Perhaps that would not be the case this time. He nodded in acknowledgement of the newcomer. "What brings you to our humble planet, if I might ask, Miss? We do not often have visitors."

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
Lamia had failed to wear her veil, though her body was otherwise shrouded by the robe she wore over her armor.

Kesh... Home of the Lost Tribe of Sith. And yet, like before, all of my kind were killed.

She stayed silent for a few moments, looking over the Sith. I have come to learn that which was lost to myself and to us many years ago. I wish to learn all knowledge of the Force that exists on this planet.

He looked her over a few times before he spoke. "A dark time, those of the massacres. Wasted potential thrown away by a paranoid people. Were only I there to try and stop it. However, I can only do my best to lead my people towards a different path now." He nodded solemnly, truly wishing things had been different. "However, there is one thing I must ask before I agree to allow you to learn here. What ties do you have to the Empire?"

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
She looked at him with a raised eyestalk. I serve the True Sith, the Empire of Adas and his successors. I refuse to bend my will to these pathetic cretins who call themselves "Sith."

She displayed such disgust towards the Imperial Sith... It angered her, anger she could use to strengthen her connection to the Dark Side.

Now, please, show me where I will be learning.

"Excellent." He turned and beckoned for her to follow, leading her to the city of Tahv. The city was quite the sight, not so much so as Coruscant, but definitely enough to rival the Citadel. As they entered the city, they began on the path to the temple, which stood at the middle of the city. "So, how have you come to be, exactly? It's not as though your kind are common in the galaxy anymore. I thought they were extinct, truth be told."

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
I have read about the Lost Tribe, how they were stranded on Kesh when their vessel crash-landed here. My people were much the same way, left on a space station from the ancient Sith Empire. Over time, our Sith genes were stabilized to form the perfect Pureblood genome.

The Sith gave a soft smile, considering her species' past.

Now I am here, with all that's left of my species known to the galaxy... My brethren on board the station shall remain hidden for the time being, and I shall learn my race's secrets, to one day return to the galaxy as leader of the true Sith, leading my kind to victory once again as my ancestors, the Dark Lords of the Sith, once did.

He chuckled. "It's nice to have ambitions. Still, I will have no problem training you. I've become somewhat of a home for wayward Sith, given my 'treasonous' status within the false Empire. I welcome you to our Tribe." He motioned to the portion of the temple with a few other apprentices moving about it, into a large building attached to the temple proper. "You will find quarters there and anything else you may need. We will begin your training in the morning."

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
The Pureblood placed an arm over the shoulder of her new teacher. I believe I will like it here with the remnants of my kind. Even though you are not Sith Purebloods such as I, we share a minor amount of our ancestors' DNA. And with that, she proceeded to pay close attention to the temple, meditating on its dark power.
