• Rapid Deployment Capability: While these crates can be transported planet-side via starships they are also outfitted with thrusters and repulsors so they can be directly deployed from a properly outfitted ship. These crates can easily shield the contents from the extreme cold of space and the heat of entering planetary atmosphere. Once they have breached the planet's atmosphere, the automated pilot will calculate an appropriate place to install the system as close to the targeting area as possible.
• Relief Center transformation: Each connex is capable of transforming from a massive shipping container into a fully functional relief center. These centers are designed to host up to four families of three to five members. Along with a protocol droid to help the families see to their needs, these centers have everything a person could need to survive after tragic events.

• Easy to move: These containers have a number of repulsors attached to their base, making them easy to move around and adjust. Each container contains four primary thrusters so that it can easily be moved by a single person.
• Relief Effort: While they may appear to be nothing more than a large connex, these containers are the next level in planetary relief. Each container is capable of transforming into a mobile relief center that can accommodate the needs of up to 16 people for months at a time.
• Fast Deployment: These containers can be directed to a planet's surface from space, making them capable of being transported to the planet without landing or breaching the atmosphere.

• Large: The Relief Deployment System is a massive connex designed to bring relief to shattered worlds. It is intended for each container to provide relief to twelve-sixteen people comfortably for months. They can only be transported by ships large enough to bear their load and are a considerably huge target for anyone hoping to stop them from making it planetside.
• Expensive: Each connex costs about as much as a small Freighter and are often the target for piracy and theft. They are expensive to produce and even more so to repair.
• Undefended: Aside from a reinforced durasteel frame, these connex's are relatively undefended from assault. With no shielding or security systems to speak of they can essentially be seen as a primary target for those wanting to do harm.

When Dynetech Industries was contracted by The Confederacy to create a proper Relief System for worlds that had been through calamity they took the contract very seriously. The R.D.S. is the answer to that call. Each container is essentially a small apartment complex tucked inside a massive connex. These systems are ideal for areas and worlds in need. Each connex may deploy into a center which has four apartment-style housing units. These housing units are intended to house up to four people comfortably but can house more if necessary.

Once deployed, these centers are designed to give the inhabitants some taste of normality in what is no doubt a difficult time for them. Because of this these containers are outfitted with many of the functions of basic life. The containers hold everything one could need to offer proper relief, on top of housing refugees. Medical, construction, and economic supplies are outfitted in these containers to aid with the overall effort, whatever it may be.
