Intent: To submit an alchemized spice to corner a market.
Development Thread: If needed.

PRODUCTION INFORMATION
Manufacturer: Korribean Caf
Model: Red Spice
Affiliation: Open Market
Modularity: None
Production: Mass-Produced
Material: Alchemized glitterstim and other assorted spice ingredients.

SPECIAL FEATURES
(+) Truth Sense: By consuming Red Spice you open yourself up to the minds of others. You can instinctively weed out the truth from a falsity without too much trouble, unless the subject is a droid or a species that is inherently more resistant to mental intrusion.
(+) Empathy: You are more receptive towards the emotional state of others and find yourself able to influence their own emotional state with some training and difficulty. Species with inherent empathy like the Zeltron have an easier time and their talents get boosted twice fold by ingesting the spice.
(+/-) Duration: The effect of diminishing returns applies here. The more spice you use, the less gains you get in terms of time with a maximum duration of three hours.
(-) Overload: There is a very real danger that your mind gets overloaded by all the sensations, feelings and thoughts you pick up, with the danger increasing the more people are around you.
(-) Mental deterioration: The original glitterstim had a little issue with brain and mind damage the more you used. This issue has intensified because of the usage of alchemy to enhance the initial structure of the drug, which means that it's far, far more likely that your mind ends up shredded because of the usage. The more you use it, the higher the risks.
(+/-) Addictive: Which is a good thing for the dealer and a bad thing for the users. The slow creeping corruption of the Darkside adds an additional factor of addiction with the end-result being that you can't kick this habit by normal means anymore. Once you get addicted, if you want to get rid of it, you need specialized Jedi healing and a steady boost of Force Light to purge the Darkside out of your system.

DESCRIPTION

Glitterstim has always been one of the cornerstones of the galactic drug trade.

A substance that expanded its user's minds and allowed them a taste of what it could mean to be a Jedi (or a Sith), it was wildly sought after in all corners of the Underworld and made Kessel into a highly lucrative location for the various spice cartels vying for control.

Things changed once the Sanctum started to look towards Kessel itself and the various criminal entities became slightly anxious of that attention. With their take-over of the spice mines there was a big gap to fill, at least until Red Spice entered the picture. The utilization of the wide distribution network of the Exchange and the expertise of certain unnamed alchemists gives Red Spice an edge in the competitive scene of the drug cartels, and there are high hopes that this particular drug will push out most other would-be competitors and become the to-go-to substance for all your superhero wish-fulfillment.

Of course the drug has little to no effect on your ability to influence species that are reputable for being resistant or even immune to mental influence, like Hutts, Epicanthix and Toydarians. Though experienced mentalists could possibly break through those that are simply resistant with some effort.

Red Spice can be found in most shadowports, shady cornershops and other places of ill-repute.
