It had been a few days since the fashion show elsewhere on Nar Shaddaa.

Kaila had been busy since then, bought part of the building, quickly converted it into a club.

Red lighting, aggressive music you could feel, drinks both strong and sweet, it suited her even more than it suited the syndicate. Occasionally her upstairs neighbors would complain but she'd buy them out in time, turn the whole damn building into her little palace. Everything was going perfectly to plan. One thing she was not accounting for however, was the attention of the Princess' staff.

She'd seen the way Jorryn Fordyce Jorryn Fordyce looked at her that night; a bit more than a snack, a little short of prey.

They'd scheduled a meeting after that, and as the days turned to hours and that to minutes, she touched up her lip gloss one last time and slid those gloves over her mark. When she finally emerged dressed in her red suit, she looked less like a Sith and more like a respectable businesswoman. Save for the lacey top underneath, of course. Had to include some black.

The commando droid currently serving as both bartender and bouncer gave her a nod, which she returned.

All the while, she imaged what the mysterious echani might be wearing, what she could learn from it.

Who was Jorryn Fordyce really?

Amber eyes looked down upon the invitation the Echani had received from Kaila, the figure she met during the fashion show on Nar Shadaa. The two didn't have much time to introduce each other, but the curiosity had gotten the better of both of them. The evening had been delightful, yet Jorryn's appetite had been left wanting.

Perhaps tonight she could have her fill.

As lovely as her host was, Jorryn was more invested in the darkness that seemed to course through her blood. The sensation had excited her during their introduction, and even now her blood ran hot underneath her skin as she thought of the secrets she might uncover. Peeling back the mask had always been her favourite part.

And so, she strode into the club, posture signifying an elegance that perhaps the tight black dress she wore didn't. Her bag was quickly dispensed to the help, not worrying about needing any of the weapons or if it need be retrieved in the end of the night. The black dress hugged her tightly in the right places, with golden frills falling away from the bottom. The red runes of Sith Magic presented gleefully as the skin bared itself for all to see and gold trinkets hung from her horns.

It didn't take long to identify her hostess, a fit woman in an equally resplendent red suit.

A smoky scent would come off the Echani as she made her way towards Kaila, offering a hand towards the woman as she expected it to be taken. Jorryn did love to be treated like a noble lady, after all. Something so lacking in many of her Sith introductions.

But this was no normal introduction.

"You make a fine host, Lady Kaila..." The words trailed as proximity revealed the lace top Kaila wore underneath the suit, her amber eyes not hiding their adventurous gaze as she looked down the woman. "And a finer piece of art." She let the words hang low, almost drowned out by the music. "I hope you have quite a night planned for us. That fashion show left me with quite the appetite."

The words fell naked upon Kaila's ears, not intending to hide their intimacy. It was second nature to Jorryn to test the nature of her companions, and for today she wanted to see if Darth Anathemous' appetite matched her own.

Dark brows rose and were stopped short.

Jorryn cut quite a figure that night, but this?

The way her eyes glowed in the dim light made hiding a once over impossible, and the Dark Lord found herself pulling her glove tighter to anchor herself in time to pretend as though her composure was not briefly compromised.

"Lady Jorryn." she hummed in greeting when the echani neared.

"Welcome to the House of Iron."

The offered—or perhaps presented—hand drew a glance, and an almost unnoticeable short pause. How many noblewomen had approached her this way in the past?

"Hmh." the thought was shoved aside.

She took her hand of course, in a practiced, gentle grip while she led her guest to a booth in one of the quieter corners of the club. For one such as Anathemous however, there was a peculiar weight, as though she were deliberately holding back from crushing a delicate flower. It wasn't only her hands either, the woman's heels seemed to click and clack harder than usual.

And despite it all, she smelt of sweet Nlorna flower.

The words "art" and "appetite" drew her golden gaze, and curled her lips. She adjusted so that they were arm in arm, and suddenly she felt less embarrassed for earlier.

"Oh, I'm quite... famished, myself." she murmured.

Finally they arrived at their booth, a servant droid already leaving the scene. Two bottles sat beside their glasses, one wine, one bourbon, both Fiora.

Kaila stopped there, gesturing for her guest to be seated first.

"Which shall I pour for us, my lady?"

An impish grin curled on the Echani's lips as Anathemous' gaze steeled itself, trying not to look over her figure. Jorryn wondered quite how long the woman's willpower would last. She had dressed like this just to meet the Sith, after all. The last thing she minded was letting her look.

The quiet power of the Lady of the House of Iron was felt by the Echani as her lithe hand was taken, delicately folded in with Kaila's. As her arms folded and interwove with Anathemous', a hand rest against the tricep of her fellow Sith. It touched the skin lightly, though not quite a caress.

"The House of Iron is it?" Amber eyes turned to look up at her companion. "I wonder if it wears the title as well as it's Lord."

The Echani gladly let herself be seated first, patting her dress down before she sat so as to not wrinkle the fine fabric.

"I find a red matches my tastes the best, perhaps something full-bodied." Amber eyes gazed across Kaila's figure one more as a hand lightly pat the space next to Jorryn as she sat, inviting the Sith to sit beside her rather than across. "Something to whet the palate at any rate."

As she waited for the liquid to be poured, the Echani sat her face upon her hands as she continued to gaze up at Anathemous.

"I'm glad that you invited me, My Lord, I haven't had the fortune to meet a person of your measure since I landed on the Smuggler's moon." Intimacy continued to roll from her lips as they poisoned the air, but the gaze of the woman seemed to almost look past Kaila's features. Almost. "I look forward to what the House of Iron has to offer, and what it's Matron has to share."

"Well, it is named after the owner." she smirked.

"An old moniker, at least."

When Jorryn picked, the Dark Lord couldn't help wondering if that were truly her preference or a reference to the suit. Cabernet then, she poured them each a glass while her guest spoke, but she was no less attentive for it. The signal to join her within more intimate proximity caused the Darth's smirk to grow toothy, and she easily sank into the leather seating beside her.

"Oh~" she said while passing the glass, "I think we'll be sharing a lot this evening, lady Jorryn."

The almost wolfish grin was quickly drowned in wine. This promised to be a fun evening but the Sith had other objectives as well. It was becoming quickly apparent she'd be playing a balancing act with herself.

"And how did you find yourself on the Smuggler's moon? Is it your first time here?"

Her tone grew curious, expression too.

"I must say, you are... different, from the company Lady Varanin used to keep. Not someone I'd expect to find through Black Sun, although the guest list that night was full of surprises."

Another, quicker sip.

"How do you know the Princess?"

The glass containing the red liquid was carefully taken and lifted by the former Lord Inquisitor's lithe hand, bringing it to her lips as she took a sip. It touched her palate and washed away the bitterness of the smuggler's moon. She allowed the taste to sink into her bones and allow the world outside of this club to drift away into blackness.

As Anathemous asked about how Jorryn found herself on Nar Shadaa, the answer came calculated. Half whispered as the truth died silently.

"Curiosity I suppose you could call it." Her eyes tossed to the side, feigning a loose memory of why she had come. "Nar Shadaa is far different to where I live, both in reputation and activity. I was curious as to what kind of things I could find out here, and then I received an invitation to the fashion show."

A sly smile took the lips of the Echani as Kaila mentioned the difference between herself and Quinn's other company.

"Oh? I would think that an Echani being in the presence of the Princess of Eshan would be a normal sight." Her head fell upon a hand as she teased, amber eyes looking up to her companion. "What kind of company do I seem like?"

She hadn't been in Quinn's company long, truthfully, and knew little about those that surrounded her Princess. Rumours would be helpful, of course, as she sought to identify any possible gaps in Quinn's armour and plug them swiftly.

But as the conversation turned to how Jorryn knew the princess, her ability to prefer secrecy became visible upon her face.

"I have known Princess Quinn for quite some time, though not always at her service." Memories of loose meetings with the girl before her resurrection raced across her mind, hidden away by the radiant sight of Quinn at her rebirth. "Suffice to say I am quite close to Lady Varanin, acting as handmaiden when she needs, and her foremost ally when not."

Her mind remembered the night, as Quinn offered a drink to the woman and her companions with a wink.

"How about yourself? You don't seem unfamiliar with my Lady."

"What sort of company?"

"Hm," she'd have to phrase it carefully, "An improvement?"

"More fun." she whispered teasingly.

The air seemed to change after that, Kaila was paying closer attention while Jorryn wove lies and half truths. They'd known each other quite some time, yet she'd never seen her before, nor heard of her till that night. It could be that their closeness predated her own, with long absences in between as was common among Sith, though it could easily be a lie as well.

What really caught her attention however was "Handmaiden" and "Foremost ally."

Her brows rose a little, then smoothed into acceptance.

She'd already been replaced.

Kaila nodded to herself, and reclined back into her seat, drowning the realization in more wine. It didn't matter if they were a thing or not, it still put a chink in the once-knight's armor.

"Excellent!" she abruptly chuckled.

"You must know the other Handmaidens then. I've been meaning to check in with Kirie."

Gods know the Blackwall made it difficult.

When the question was returned, her freckled features wrinkled in thought, though she glanced at the ceiling to pass it off merely recollection.

"It was sometime after the siege of Echnos, if I recall? We served together, in the Second Legion."

Another sip, slower this time, a short break to decide how much she'd share.

"I was her bodyguard, actually, at home and abroad. During my tenure as a knight we fought many battles at each other's side, Such as on Rugosa, Woostri, and uhm... Susevfi."

Her expression caught, maintaining a smile. Nostalgia, perhaps, or something else.

She turned then, eying Jorryn, studying her reaction.

"She never spoke of you though."

"Wish we'd discovered one another sooner." the smirk returned.

A small chuckle escaped the lips as Anathemous complimented her, though a bit short in its amusement. Jorryn had hoped to hear of the Princess' past associates, so that she may... check in on them. Those answers would have to be drawn from Quinn herself she supposed.

"I know of Kirie, but we have never spoken so closely." The Handmaiden that had stuck beside the Princess was a familiar face, but Jorryn's experiments often whisked her away from the side of her master. "As I know, she is doing well. It is nice to have someone to trust on the other side of my charge."

Amber eyes carefully observed the reactions of Anathemous, curious as to what the woman was hiding herself as she took another sip of the wine. Perhaps alcohol would eventually loose the girl's tongue enough, though perhaps it might defeat her own inhibitions as well.

For now, she allowed the conversation to turn back to herself, trailing crumbs for the Sith to devour as she sought to know the witch.

"My service to the Princess is very recent, I would have been surprised if my name escaped her lips." An inwards curiosity fell over Jorryn, but was quickly passed as she looked over. "How about yourself, something about your essence tells me there is more to the story than a simple warrior."

A finger crept along the woman's shoulder, feeling past the cloth and the skin below. It caressed the blood of the woman, unable to manipulate it yet it sought to understand what the sensation Jorryn wondered was.

In that club, something had drawn the Echani towards Anathemous, and here she was tilting her hand and showing the curiosity.

"I hope you'll permit a bit of curiosity..."

There was a power within Kaila, though its source was unclear. This sensation in the force was new to the witch, the fog of one's essence being breathed in like she had never before. But there was no clarity to it.

Jorryn simply sought to understand what it was she felt.

Kaila... smiled, warmly even.

It was good to hear of Kirie Kirie again, even better to know she was appreciated.

"Kirie was always a loyal servant, with a good head on her shoulders. Your charge is in good hands."

"I'll have to send some bottles home with you, one for each." she said with a laugh.

With the conversation turned on her, there was a shift. Not discomfort, but how was she meant to answer? what was she, really? Echani hands on her shoulder seemed to steady the woman, a touch she was quite used to by now. Some might consider it forward but Kaila found herself appreciative of the culture.

"Hm. you have satisfied a few of my own."

She leaned into that touch a little.

"I've been many things, gone by many names."

"Mandalorian, governor, knight."

"...witch..."

A glance was given, curious what the horned-one's feelings were on the subject of her people.

Oh but a mischievous urge took hold, and she grinned.

"And of course, I've played the role of lover often as fighter."
