Red Garden (Camellia)

Ayumi looked at her and had a grin on her face. "Exactly, there is so much material people have tossed that has potential. Sure making a fulling functioning destroyer might not happen but you can get the right materials and construct some ships or arm your small militia. I know some of the equipment that has been used was for fighting those beastly ships that invaded Silver jedi space. We salvaged their main gun and weren't able to use it but it was powerful ripping through our ships shields. We salvaged some of their hulls and used it to make the durable armor for the guards which have a lot of protection." She was there digging now quickly but in small bits to uncover a box that looked intact while Ayumi held it and opened the box. "It is a molecular converter, they came here to use the grass and other matter to create their stuff. I am hoping if we get enough of it we'll be able to add it to the ships eventually."

Well environmentalists were plenty happy with the idea of recycling salvage so that was always a plus to do. Make a public announcement of Rendili Stardrive's decision to sell excess scrap metals from projects and irreparable starships so they can be put to better uses instead of encouraging more mining operations which would potentially put stress on an ecosystem somewhere. It would be a forward political move while ensuring the company still got refined materials in the end. "So essentially you have technology now that can turn raw resources into something useful. That almost sounds like the Starforge they talk about in history books. Sounds like you got a lot of this figured out though. Personally I think Rendili giving its scrap away so its reused instead of people digging up new mines will go over nice publicly."

Ayumi looked at her laughing now. "Well we are searching for the technology here right now. It these cubes they used could be put on a larger scale then a box the size of my hand we could use it on ships. Imagine any food waste being used to reform into something. It would be a diminished return yes and you'd need a good amount of material to really do it but you could make basic supplies, cloth for cleaning wounds, for clothing, for cleaning." She was looking at the larger sections of what they had uncovered and there was something more intact but still broken from age. Ayumi fiddled with it as she worked at the power cell as it glowed for a moment. "Sometimes even broken technology can still work for a while. With enough collected we might be able to cannibalize to make one or two."

[member="Ayumi Pallopides"]

That sounded too good to be true honestly. If such technology existed it would be a miracle of science and the Rendili woman was a skeptic if anything. Even when working alongside and dealing with Jedi for the Republic, Camellia had always been a bit dubious to the extent to which the force really touched upon everyone's lives supposedly. Now her friend was telling a machine could make anything if it was just given enough raw materials? "It sounds like you have a miniature Starforge then Ayumi. Makes me jealous if what you're talking about is real. After all, if I had the technology of a Starforge I would be trying to replicate that lost technology and build the largest fleet anyone had ever seen. THen I'd crash it all against the enemies hiding out there."

"The starforge used the force to build and slowly turned its people. It gave power but it broke the rules by creating without taking something to do it. That is what made it dangerous as I recall and why it had to be destroyed. For this it works more like a molecular furnace from the old empire. Breaking everything down to the building blocks to let you create supplies." Ayumi though was looking at it and the broken ones they found with some of it was laid out on a table. "These molecular converters are something that if we can get it done right and powered should be able to get them working. My goal is a possible shipwide scale if possible. We would have to recover as much as we can and then with engineers we have information on a working one that is much like your starforge. The Jedi actually created such a device and I was surprised to learn about it."

In that case then Camellia was misinformed, believing that the Starforge drew power and resources from star themselves and that it had been destroyed when the Republic of the time had disabled its repulsor towers and thus dropped it into the very sun it was harvesting. Still, even if the concept itself was a little different, the Rendili woman found herself grinning since the end result her friend was imagining was still the same. "Sounds like in the end you still get a near limitless fleet as long as you keep the converters operational. Although I can clearly see by your point that it would require an immense amount of material. Still. . . .actually didn't the World Devastators create new ships themselves from whatever they consumed? Say what they will about how they were named and used, but plenty of technology the Empire and ancient types used could have had many uses for the greater good."

Ayumi looked at her with that and there ws the research team there bringing more things. "The world devastators though used worlds to make new things. These will hopefully be good for turning everything in a ship into something useful once again." She was looking at them and moving now while looking her over. "Plus getting to have you here helping me is always good. You look better with gravity to give you a little bounce." Then she was laughing and the teams were working on the different places while a datapad came to her. "We are going to get ready to erect a quick lab to assemble and store the parts recovered. If rendili can offer anything for the construction and excavation I would be very happy."

Sometimes Camellia wished those objects of discussion were still around for examination. Having the World Devstators for study could bring so much advancements to engineering and construction fields it likely wasn't even funny. Of course she understood the need for the weapons of the Palpatine to be destroyed, the madman was trying to obliterate whole planets after all. Yet, that didn't mean she couldn't regret the loss of technology so far beyond anything many could imagine. Such a waste all because an insane man wanted weapons instead of spearheading a golden age of technology. "Yeah, we have boulder-dozers you might like Ayumi. They can dig and help with the excavation project as well as build the foundation for the lab if you need. I can see if we have any droids for the work as well."

Ayumi looked at her and gave a nod of her head. "Good if you would be so kind to get some we'll be able to build and start the real danger. Something that can be low impact. We don't want to upset the locals and don't want to have the creatures coming. Sonic emitters should keep them away while we work." She had some of those, they were great for getting some roads cleared and keeping wildlife off or out of the way. Better for staying away from some of the impact/ "We will soon be looking at some of the area's we are working to build and make it all a worthwhile time."

[member="Ayumi Pallopides"]

Nodding at that, Camellia would get on her comlink right away to get right on that, calling back to her engineers back on Rendili requesting the deployment of their construction teams. "Well I don't think we'll need to worry. The Boulder-Dozers use cutting lasers and beam drills, no explosives or high energy blasters. We shouldn't cause too much of a fuss with those. I agree with the sonic emitters though, most species out there have a huge dislike for them whenever they're in use. Still, there are a few who would be attracted by such a disturbance or like those frequencies they emit. So whatever we do just make sure the local wildlife isn't the sort to go against the norm."

She would have to make a note of that, most of the species from the sound of the world seemed to be normal as species like giant beetles and swarms go but they were no where near those as she walked. "We will take every precaution for it and we will have to work on things. We'll need some power to test it when the time comes and I think I know where we'll be able to get that when the time comes. The real trick is going to be this and machining all the parts we are gathering." She was looking at an area they were mappin out for it and the team had incovered some more. She doubted the locals would care if they destroyed invaders stuff so going over an area they had cleared to make and map out a testing lab and warehouse. She could work with that.

It wasn't that Camellia doubted Ayumi or her team's efforts in preparing for the salvage work they were doing, it was just that the Rendili woman herself was unfamiliar with such operations as it were. After all, she didn't often do research on a planet's surface where the wildlife was a threat, nor did she ever really work on any projects besides starships, so it was just a little beyond her element to prepare, she might have forgotten about the sonic emitters herself. However, Camellia was plenty at ease following along with the work itself, though it still sounded a little fantastical. "Do you know how to put it back all together properly? What if it's built incorrectly? What hazards are we looking at."

Ayumi looked at her and held one of the converters up. It worked but was broken and she spoke. "At this moment I am not certain of the risks if it fails nor do I fully know the inner workings. We have managed to get a few that look intact enough and I have the hope of openign it up and seeing which parts go where. We can make a diagram as we do it and know which parts to work on and replace once we get started." She had a grin on her face though cause now... now it was getting to the good part and without rushing to far ahead in her mind they were going to have plenty to go over. "Just like working on a ship for the first time you need to learn where everything goes."
