How she envied them.

Since her original iteration, the many Westenra's that had lived and died since then had all shared a single desire:

The desire to one day swim.

Her design of course, made deliberately vulnerable to water, rendered this impossible. She was not human, but artificial, and thus her skin did not decay as a human's does unless she went without nourishment. But it also meant she could never feel the joy of swimming in a lake.

Instead, she had contented herself by sitting poolside on a stretched out wooden bench, watching the glittering water. She'd altered her flesh to make it look like she was in a bright yellow sling bikini, covering a curvy but athletic bronze figure, bright pink eyes that were purple glinting at the center scanning the waters as they were disturbed by the movement of various bodies swimming in it.

The GA had contacted her spy Alias, 'Ensan' and told her to book a stay here. This was their usual pattern, tell her to book a stay somewhere before taking however long it took to get her the orders to her real destination.

Ever since the successful attempt on the previous Westenra's life at a Suite within the Senate, she had been leaning hard on what contacts she had managed to build up on discovering who exactly among the former slaves on Foerost had the money and contacts to send an assassin directly past Senate Security. GA Intelligence was certain help had come from the inside.

So far, they had at least determined where the money had come from. The Artificial Vampire suspected that this was her next assignment...

A waiter from the nearby bar in the vast pool room dropped a key next to her.

"Excuse me?" he called out, ceasing rolling the repulsorlift cart carrying drinks to pick up the key. "You dropped this.

Ensan knew the signal.

"Next time be more careful." She replied back as protocol.

"It will profusely never happen in this lifetime..." he responded back quietly.

Code phrase was a pass. Orders were legitimate.

The Android took a few minutes before going into the changing room, altering her flesh to resemble a black cocktail dress and stilettos were covering her, waited a minute or so, then walked back out, heading to tge room number listed on the key.

The key opened the door to a spacious, bare room with a single datapad on the floor.

Westenra glided over to it, picking it up and pressed play.

"A compound set up by a faction of suspected Imperial Sympathizers against increased military presence from The GA has been discovered in the rural areas of Foerost. Intel from inside believes that the Sympathizers have discovered the entrance to a massive city-size underground vault and are currently excavating it. It is also believed the head of the compound, Benedict Psorian, possesses a blackmail list of the traitors with Senate Security. We have also learned that in one week a Sith Intelligence team composed of Counter Security and EOD specialists will be present on Foerost, to help them crack the mainframe within the vault and completely disable what is reported to be extremely dangerous security measures. Your mission consists of three primary objectives. One: Infiltrate the compound without alerting security. Once there, you will obtain a copy of the list without Psorian noticing, as well as finding some means of disabling vault security so they will not detect security alerts from within the vault. Two: You must retrieve the cheif treasure confirmed to be within the vault without leaving evidence of your presence if at all possible. Three: You must sabotage all efforts at further excavation until The GA obtains legal permission to evict Psorian from his land. Psorian himself must be framed for the sabotage so his contacts in the Sith Empire will no longer trust him." The voice on the pad droned in a cold deep electronic voice

"To do all this, it has been determined that even with an agent of your considerable ability, this is still a two person job. In order to facilitate mission success, GA Intelligence seeks to obtain the assistance and eventual loyalty of a thief and inventor named Taji Nelson . He demonstrates considerably high potential for field work as an Agent. Our underworld contacts have allowed it to slip that the house of one of your covers, Lorna Prynce, is in possession of a rare Zeffo Statue worth millions, guarded by deadly magnaguard security we have placed inside and deliberately modified to be unhackable by wireless signal and twice as durable to ion or magnetics. It was deliberately leaked to where it was certain he would notice. You are to befriend him by offering to be the muscle that helps him get past the Magnaguards, in exchange for thirty-five percent of the take. You have two days to cultivate him for the job on Foerost if you successfully hook him over the apartment job."

"A final note: There can be no casualties on the Foerost mission and as little evidence of foul play as possible. The situatiin is too politically delicate for a targeted assassination. Other than that you have full discretion as to how you infiltrate the compond and vault, "

The audio message deleted instantly after that. On the rest of the datapad were mission details and a full dossier on Taji.

Eight hours later...

She had entered the seedy underworks bar known as "Creed's" before. Occasionally she did moonlight as a theif as part of a mandate to test her skills but this was a whole other level of elaborate.

Her flesh was altered to look as it usually did, to resemble her wearing a skintight yellow and black combat leotard with long gloves and boots.

Theives of the high end variety used this place to pick up leads. Almost certainly one was that one of the best was looking to act as muscle to a particular job, and was looking to pay generous terms. As she sat down at a table, ordering a drink, she knew it was only a matter of time before hopefully Taji showed, as she had already turned down numerous others due to not being able to crack the security adequately...

Location: Creeds Bar

While he wasn't normally the type to go after high profile targets, Taji admitted that the money obtained from fencing the statue would come in handy. It could pay for all manner of inventions and creations. It might even help him finance upgrading the Life Star into something more than it was now. Oh how easy it would be to use the Bracer to teleport in and steal the statue for the mission. Yet, for some reason he had decided instead that he needed muscle and people he could count on to be that muscle. A sigh, as he looked around the bar. He sighed as he approached her unknowing that she was actually there in order to convince him to go along with her on a mission.

"Looking for some muscle for a job." said Taji, as he looked at her. "You interested?" He asked her. The thrill of the breaking and entering, and the chase was one of the few payments Taji accepted for jobs. Of course as a buyer for the statue had already been lined up, Taji was going to fence the thing and make sure he got a fair price for it as did those who worked under him. "You'll get 30% of the income from the job."

Westenra Mina Westenra Mina (Sorry for short post.)

The Android Vampire studied Taji Nelson as he walked in. So self assured. So confident. She would see what that was worth very soon.

"Thirty percent is an excellent incentive." The beautiful abomination of science stated matter of factly, blinking pink eyes at him. She pulled out a datapad.

"But if I am to be the muscle for the operation I must know I am working with someone who knows their stuff. I'm about to show you something I stole from an Imperial facility. That pad contains a constantly shifting Imperial Cypher protecting a list of Imperial Safehouses hidden all over the Underworks of Coruscant. I tried over a hundred professors of Decryption Theory at various colleges, and a thousand more hackers. I want you to crack it in under two minutes. Because if you can, I'll be the muscle for twenty percent annnd I let you in on a score...involving a diamond larger than your head. And with me as your muscle..." she trailed, sliding him the datapad and holding up a stop watch.

"...you will be almost certain to get a nice sum of it."

She was fair, waiting until he prepared himself mentally before she clicked the stop watch.

She had read his profile, latching onto the fact he didn't like killing. Neither did she. It made her empathize with him. She hoped he was the one for the job...Her mother, The Arch Psy-Pire Nine Lives was very interested in acquiring modern tech experts. The more the merrier. If he succeeded, she'd have to recommend to her mother and her Sister Vera to recruit him. The GA might want him, but that didn't mean he couldn't be a member of a Royal House on the side...

Profile suggested thrillseeker, eager to explore his chosen fields of study...and steal chit (The GA Psychologist that had profiled Taji had actually written that last bit in at the margins!)

Westenra leaned back, waiting for success...or failure...

Taji went through the cypher, and cracked it in 45 seconds at maximum, more like 38 to be precise. He had a wicked grin on his face as he looked at her for a moment. Westenra Mina Westenra Mina "Got anything more challenging than that for me to crack?" He asked, as he looked at her very seriously. "That Diamond would certainly be a useful asset." Especially if it could focus a high powered laser through it in order to create a new element needed to provide an unlimited power supply to technology he planned to invent in the near future. While he did love being Archer, he simply couldn't do that anymore. Corpos had blabbed who he was all across the planet, and so he'd had to get rid of all the equipment that had once connected him to Archer.

He then looked at her for a moment. "So, what do you think? Did I pass?" asked Taji as he considered his options. Hopefully he did pass, as he wanted to get his hands on that gemstone to use in the creation of a new element. Science needed advancements in all fields. However, he wasn't going to go into the bio weapon field unless he was working on a countermeasure because the Bio Weapons the Galaxy had were bad enough. Gulag Plague, Black Wing Virus. Why would someone do something that would kill indiscriminately like that? It didn't make sense to him. "My brother William could've been faster. My family and I are constantly competing."

Westenra smiled as Taji Nelson passed.

"Those fething degrees on all the walls of the professors I visited are not worth the paper they are printed on." Westenra said to Taji. Such excitement. Such enthusiasm. Her mother would like this one.

"That's adorable, competing to be the best slicer. My sisters and I have similar competitions with our mother."

Westenra sighed as she thought about her mother.

Nine was a mess mentally. She hadn't exactly been all there before, but now even her knights were starting to notice it. She was slow to come up with solutions. Slow to respond. Vera had assumed command authority for the most part. While the family struggled to return from the red financially, it was her duty, more than ever before, to support the family.

"You passed. With flying colours. Heck, I'm so impressed I'm only going to take fifteen percent from the Statue Job..." the android spoke politely. "You are definitely the specialist I am seeking for my other job. It's on Foerost. But not here. Let's speak of that job somewhere more private, as to the job we are currently planning, I know the home owner has armed magnaguards. I also know her schedule. She'll be gone all day tomorrow. Perfect time to strike. You bring down the security, I bring down the magnaguards. Here are the apartment schematics..." The Android explained, sliding him a holodisc. "Any questions?"

Taji looked at her for a moment as he considered what she wanted done. "Not just slicing. Inventing, robotics, Messing with "Corpos" because of how they mistreat the people they're supposed to protect, a few other things every now and then." said Taji, as he looked at her for a moment. "The job's gonna be easy enough for me to take and handle." He said to her. "You know there may be a job in the future for you if you're up for it." He said, as he looked at her. "A rather simple job, mind you, but it will pay well with a custom piece of equipment developed by me."

When they arrived at the location of the apartment complex Taji wasn't even talking. No, he was hacking into the security system already and shutting it down with one hand on a Datapad. A grin was on his face as he did so. For him this was an activity that he deemed "fun" as hacking into stuff was one of his greatest joys in fact. The thrill of the challenge was what had made him take up "theft" from those who were.... not so nice. "Tell you what. Since I'm a nice guy, I'll let you have 50% of the Statue Job if you agree to do another job for me in the near future. My brothers will fill you in when it is time for the other job, okay?" He asked, as he looked at her.

"I find your idea to be an excellent one. I accept your offer..." Westenra trailed, getting up.

"I'll meet you later..." she spoke, heading out of the bar so they would not be seen leaving together in order to prepare. She would meet him in six hours.

Westenra was excited. So far, recruitment seemed to be doing well. Taji Nelson had turned out to be far less cagey than she thought. Now it was simply a matter of pulling off the baby steps first.

Six hours later...

She had met him at the apartment complex. It was a high end level of Coruscant, decorated hear and there with statues of Rancors, particularly at the top where her own apartment that they were to rob lay. It was in a security office being renovated so she was not worried about being spotted.

She watched with fascination as Taji cut through the high end security of the posh, ultra-modern complex like it was paper. He mentioned another job to do past this one. His brothers would be involved.

"I'm all for it, and thank you for the generous even cut." She spoke before examining the schematics with droid like efficiency, eyes falling the multiple entry points.

"Okay. I'll be back. Walk me through the complex. If you see anything odd, report and relocate. You've likely been compromised somehow in that scenario." Westenra said calmly to him before taking an ear link to stay in touch and ventured into the complex she lived in and knew like her hands.

"Alright," said Taji as he spliced into the cameras from where he was. He was looking at the place in order to observe the security systems and anything that could pose a problem to their goal of getting a hand on the statue in the place. After all if he was going to market it and leave one of his calling cards of a single emerald arrow in the roof of the place he needed to know what the security of the place had to offer. "And alright, I'll make sure to relocate should I need to do so." He said, as he continued taking control of the cameras, and any other electronics he could access in the place. He was unaware of the security droids in the place that would soon prove to be a problem that they'd have to deal with.

Westenra Mina Westenra Mina

Westenra moved with a silent gilded grace through the corridors of the wealthy complex, the latest in Alderaani Abstract decorating the walls of its interior passages.

She spotted the Chief Security Guard, Wyll Star-Ash making his nightly rounds.

Westenra's body mass suddenly broke down into flowing, mollasses like tissue that blended into the floor, waiting for him to step over her. He was a nice person. She would make sure he didn't get hurt by accident.

As he literally walked right over her, she reformed her body, the Tranquilizers developed in the Castle Morpheus Labs delivered via a poison ring coated in painkiller. He would not even feel it going in.

He was paralyzed mid walk, then unconscious. Westenra dragged him to a broom closet, fed on him so he would have no memory of this at all, then treated his wounds with a supply of bacta on hand so the wounds would vanish.

Westenra then slithered out from under the door and reformed on the other side, sprinting silently, avoiding cameras and managed to reach her own apartment door. She tried not to snicker at the idea of robbing herself as she got out her comlink.

"Need you to get this door open. Its sealed. Can't flow under it. I have it on good authority multiple security measures were installed. Military Grade Encryption..." she said to Taji Nelson .

Once they arrived at the door, Taji began splicing into the security system. Once he did gain control of the Military Grade Encryption of the door he managed control over the Encryption of the door. From there, he managed to gain access to the systems of the door. Upon gaining access and control over the encryption of the door, he opened it for them. "The door is open," He said, as he looked at her. "It was a piece of cake in order to get the door open and allow you access. " He smiled, as he approached her.

"This was too easy!" He smirked.

Westenra Mina Westenra Mina

"Your confidence astounds..." she told him merrily as they went inside. She put a finger to her lips, signaling to be quiet as they entered her apartment.

As befitting her other identities status as a psychologist, there were numerous texts about mental illness and treatment on the shelves.

Wall panels opened up and 007 Magnaguards with vibrostaves came out.

"Hang back, Taji, I got this." Westenra spoke, sprinting forward and turning into a gelatinous mass to evade the first slicing attacks, part of the mass forming a large obsidian hammer of flesh that smashed into the head of one Magnaguard with full force, crushing its brain, flowing between the legs of another, making a black spike and stabbing upward, reaching all the way into the power core in its chassis, disabling it. The mass of dark, molasses like tissue swirled away from a deadly spins of the remaining two, reforming into her human self, her arms became long, obsidian tentacles that whipped forward, slithering past their guards and ripping the staff from the hands of one, while the other tentacle slithered around the neck of the other guard, blocking the strikes of its staff with her stolen one, impaling it through the skull before helicopter spinning the other to death with that same staff. (Selene did it first, and better: 3 XP)

Westenra turned back to Taji Nelson . "I think its this way..."

The statue was in a seperate chamber, guarded by a security laser grid with military grade encryption Auto blaster turrets were mounted in the corner, ready to kill whatever tripped the lasers. Motion sensors on the floor. The works. Westenra stopped at the entrance.

"Work your magic. Taji. You've done great so far."

Taji then took out the tool he'd been saving to use, the Crow. Once he had the tool on his person he began to hack into the security laser grid. Once he was inside the encryption he started to disable the laser grid permanently. Frying it with his technical expertise, Taji had a smirk on his face. He looked at her for a moment. "The room is unguarded now," He said, with a smirk on his face as he looked at her. "The way you took down the robots was amazing." He said, as he looked at her. Her tactics were amazing. He wished he could fight like he had seen her do. "Would you be willing to teach me how to battle with a staff?" He asked, as he looked at her for a moment.

Learning how to do some of the things she could do would certainly make him more efficient. "You were amazing when you wielded the staff." He smiled as he looked at her. Her skills were something that he considered completely amazing. The fact she could shapeshift as well... he had to see if he could get her permanently onboard with the Thieves Guild. The shapeshifting would be an invaluable asset. After all, if she could do that his eyes were dollar signs practically. She could get into secured vaults, and easily.

Westenra Mina Westenra Mina

"Now that I've taken over the systems," He admitted. "I would like to offer you a permanent job should you be willing to do so."

"I'd be happy to teach you how to use a staff. As for the job offer, pitch it to me and I'll think about it..."

Westenra then retrieved that statue itself, it was a figurine of one of their ancient sages.

She knew she was going to accept before he asked though...one more organization to make a copy for. How many tendrils did Nine Lives have in how many places because she made her? How much political power had House Li-Ves gained as a result? How many Westenra's were out there, masquerading as some newbie member to a useful group.

A man with Taji's connections would be immensely useful.

"So, Taji Nelson , what's your pitch?" Westenra asked as she handed him the statue. "My rates are reasonable. My hours flexible. Just don't send me for common jobs. Give me the difficult stuff. I bore easily."

"Long story short," He pulled out an ID of the Thieves Guild and held it out to her. "You are invited to join the very exclusive Thieves Guild as one of the members that have been brought in at the start. Of course, before you are officially brought in as a member of the group you would have to undergo a mission as a sort of test." He said, as he looked at her for a moment. He nodded. "Your first assignment will be one that isn't easy for you to actually handle. Seeing as no one has the technology I've been looking for to obtain for my own use. I've been looking for a way to teleport without the need for relying on the Force to do so. Unfortunately, I've yet to find anything."

He took the statue and loaded it into a bag he carried. "You'll get paid more than I initially promised." He smiled, as he looked at her. She had certainly impressed him to say the least with her skill.

"The Thieves Guild could use someone like you who could get into places easily, and sneak around."

Westenra Mina Westenra Mina

Westenra had been anticipating such an offer. As a matter of fact she had downloaded another guise into her system before going here in case it might serve a purpose.

"I accept. If there is such technology I can locate it. Now for the other job...There is a city sized underground vault on Foerost with a massive diamond that is just begging to be stolen. Problem is its entrance has a large compound of imperial sympathizers led by a man with crooked ties to the senate, and the vault security is top notch. I want to steal blackmail information and anything else we can carry. But mainly. That massive as hell diamond. To do that, I need you. You've already proven yourself but this job is truly dangerous. They will use lethal force if we are caught. The payout is worth it though. No deaths and no evidence of our presence can be detected or we'll never make it off the planet."

Westenra was not exaggerating the danger.

"But let's get out of here first. Think about it while we escape."

Westenra then began to lead them out of the apartment.

"There's a safe house I use in the Underworks..." she explained. "We'll be safe there."

Later on...

The safehouse was unassuming in the alleys of Coruscant's Underworks on the outside, but filled with a distinctly lavish Atrisian influence on the inside with polished wood floors and thin, opaque wood slat screen doors on the inside. Atrisian procelain with various lagish and colorful landscapes and characters graced the shelves and pedestals on the halls.

The walls were a massive collection of Katanas of different styles, and Westenra invited him to take a seat anywhere he liked.

"Care for some tea?" She asked.

"Sure, some tea sounds nice. As to your problem about the vault, I've a simple solution." He had a wicked gleam in his eyes as he said that. "All we need is simply to prepare a large batch of a crowd control agent I call "Horror" and flood the place with it. While they are busy writhing in absolute horror," He slid out a ring he had purchased from a trade shop earlier and slid it on his finger. Once he had done so, Taji smirked. "I'll use this bad boy to break down the vault doors, we walk out with the Gem. Easy peasy, Lemon Squeezy." He smirked again.

"The ability to teleport without the need to use the Force will be a major asset. We will need a missile though to use to launch Horror in order to take down the people without hurting them. I'll also need a suit of body armor before we go on the mission, a way to conceal my identity."

He sighed. The fact that the persons they were going after were going to use lethal force irritated him. "We'll need to possibly modify the armor so it can enhance my physical abilities, either that, or we'll need to deal with the issue at high speeds somehow."

He then looked at one of the katanas. "Interesting." He said, as he looked at them and took a seat on a couch. "Do you have any idea of how we could combine the technology of a Lightsaber with an actual blade?"

Last edited by a moderator:
"There are...complications with your approach...allow me to explain." Westenra spoke, taking a seat on a nearby sofa...

"There can be no evidence we were even there. They cannot suspect the theft has even occured. If they do, we'll never make it off the planet. They have too many people in too many of the right places if an alarm goes off. Now, as to your question concerning blades...its semi possible. You can take a vibroblade and embue it with an energy cell to give it plasma damage. Anyone of these blades would make for a fine example with the right mods. Take one if it pleases you. We can supply you with armor, definitely. Just need your size measurements."

Westenra then had servant droids bring out the tea.

"Its an old fashioned sneaking job. Cat Burglary. Also, I have determined a suitable cover Identity as a member of your Thieves Guild."

Westenra closed her eyes and her flesh everywhere melted and bulged in odd places, changing everything from jaw line to pigmentation in a four minute process, until a completely different woman with very fair skin, dark hair and red lips in a black catsuit sat in the seat 'Ensan' had been sitting in only a few minutes before.

"I've decided to call myself something flashy...The Leopard...cat burglar extraordinaire..." The Android joke a bit. "Ideally I'll be the one doing most of the heavy lifting."

Taji nodded and gave her the measurements he had. He then looked at her for a moment. "Let's figure out what armor I'll use. I don't want to use my Owl Suit, or the technology I'm working on," He said, as he looked at her. "My power armor isn't ready for use. And excellent. All Members of the Thieves GUild have masks that they wear. "

He then sighed. "We'll get your gem, and you keep it plus the profits. Anything else we get away with is mine."

When the tea came out, he took it and sipped it. He wished he could shapeshift like her. "I wish I could shapeshift like you."

"A shadow suit with an Eriadu Stealth Unit and a Keresitian Light Absorbing Overlay would make an excellent stealth option..." Westenra ssid as she took the measurements of Taji Nelson , planning to forward them to Castle Morpheus. In the meantime, securing Teleportation tech would be extremely tricky. They had to hit this place in the next two days, keaning Aing Tii tech would likely be needed...

When Taji expressed admiration of her shape shifting, Westenra could only smile.

"Be glad you have only a single form...you...you don't want what I have..." she admitted quietly, not getting into further detail than she had to.

"There are costs...even for shapeshifters...most people not trusting you is one of them..."

Westenra had a secret desire...to be accepted by the ordinary. But she knew it would never happen. Those who walked the path of blood were forever trapped by its call...

"So, Taji...what's this about an 'Owl'?" Westenra asked in curiosity.

Taji pulled out a bag that he had with him that contained the "Owl Suit" inside it. He then offered her the bag. "Inside is the Owl Suit. However, I do not believe it ready yet. I will need to modify it with the stealth technology you have mentioned so it can get through things with more stealth tech." He decided he would take her advice about the shapeshifting because he didn't want to offend her. He sighed again. "We've got our work cut out for us on the mission since using Horror is out of the question. It would have been the easiest way to neutralize the individuals so we could get our hands on the Gem. Still, I'm looking forward to get the mission out of the way so you can help me with future missions. They won't be easy, mind you. Still, they need to be done." He admitted as he looked at her for a moment.

He had a frown on his face when his phone rang. It was a telemarketer. "STOP CALLING ME!" hissed Taji as the comm rang. His eyes started to twitch as he shook in rage at the unwanted comm message. When another came, he cursed in Wookie. "STOP CALLING ME!!!"
