The REC-LA/02 Combat Armour was designed to be a simple, yet capable protective measure for the Galactic Alliance Defence Force. Utilizing various, and lightweight materials, the REC-LA/02 was capable of safeguarding those that wore this armour from a multitude of threats they would likely encounter on the battlefield. This meant that they could become more confident in the completion of their duties, knowing that their armour was dependable, and required minimal maintenance to remain in optimal condition. Reinforcing this point, the REC-LA/02 was outfitted with a measure of essential equipment that could be utilized by their wearers to enhance their potential - wherever their fight may be. This included, but wasn’t entirely limited too, the reinforced bracers and boots - that’d be capable of turning aside a vibroblade, or the integrated Holoterminal mounted to their forearm. Also, the armour was available in a myriad of variants - which would encompass the various environments that the wearer wound find themselves in. For example, for cold weather assignments, there would be a thermal padding as well as a temperature-regulating bodyglove that would seek to keep the wearer warm. The opposite would be correct in other, more harsh environments, as their bodies wouldn’t require the additional Thermal Padding. Sadly, as the armour was designed to be light, those that wore the REC-LA/02 would be forced to rely on external equipment to operate in specific environments and enhance their tactical flexibility through Quadnoculars, and etc. Despite this fundamental drawback, the REC-LA/02 would become one of the most significant additions to the Galactic Alliance Defence Force, and their battalions of eager-faced Infantrymen seeking to push back the encroaching darkness.
