Over simplification, naturally. I mean, it's not like I'm intending to be controlling by love and peace. Manipulation, through fear, or by rewarding loyalty or good works, but in the end there is always some element of fear.

Even the apprentice should hold fear of their Master. Failure yields punishment. An extreme punishment could yield death. One never knows.

That is the Sith way, but fear is but an obstacle to be overcome. To fear is to recognise an obstacle. Only when that fear is gone have you grown the way that you are supposed to.
