"A silver in drag? My my. That settles it then. Hehe. ...You'll just have to accompany me shopping. To ensure traditions, of course."

She smirked. Her joking manner hiding not one bit of her seriousness. He was indeed coming shopping with her. Oh yes. Oh yes indeed. Poor Javek was now doomed.

"Besides. I think you'd look ravishing in Cinnagarian fashions. Though... We might skip the Centurion helmet this time around. It is a masked ball, after all. So you'll need something just a bit more stylish than Jedi traditions to get you through. If only."

Karen smiled at the thought of finally getting her hands clean with some new clothes. A challenge, yes? But a fun idea at that. Besides... Torturing this poor Silver Apprentice was slowly becoming a bit of a good time. Maybe she would get him that dress after all.

"And remember Tysis. Just be glad this isn't a Zeltros Bath Ball or a Tetan Slumber Party. All foreign Ambassadors are expected to arrive and participate in the festivities, nude. ...Jedi included."

She waggled her brows with infamous Kaine Zambrano fashion. Oh dear. Knowing Karen's sense of humor her poor writer just had to wonder out loud; just what kind of ball was she going shopping for anyways? Good grief. Poor Javek Tysis. The Silvers would never forgive her.

The kitchen had become something else, she was looking over the streets and had a great deal of... questions while she was moving. The tapping of her staff on the ground before she was stopping to look at a board that showed concerts that were for entertainment. "A strange human custom." She was moving towards it now and holding it in her hands while reading it. 'These humans are not like you and I do not like being suppressed.' There was a sound of some other silver jedi there shopping. Her head tilted when she saw [member="Karen Roberts"] and [member="Javek Tysis"] in the distance. Her vague thoughts of the other silver jedi and force senses as she walked.

In the Darkness there is Truth
Lianna City,
random café
(3/20)

If there was a God called Mammon, then Lianna was a holy land devoted to worshipping him. The corporate CEOs that held sway over the Hegemony were his high priests, the corporate buildings and banks his temples, and their employees his acolytes. Their automated armies of droids and mercenaries were his holy warriors, dedicated to protecting the sacred faith of capitalism and fighting those who sought to corrupt the true faith. Bless the holy market, for it is the true force that binds the Galaxy together. Mammon was the invisible hand that Adam Smith had spoken of. Praise him, work jolly hard and do not demand socialist nonsense such as trade unions! For those were the spawn of the socialist devil.

By and large business was still continuing as usual in this section of the City, though one could see the march of protesters even from the café where Sumiko happened to be in. For the most part the demonstrations were still peaceful, but here and there factories had been picketed if the owners were suspected of being in league with 'jihadists' and 'Jedi overlords'. A holographic news reporter declared that the Jedi would be meeting with the leaders of Lianna, promising that the government would stand strong and not compromise the rights of the people.

The reaction of the patrons was mixed, but many were simply focused on enjoying their meal and gossiping. Needless to say Sumiko had chosen a spot at the far end of the bar, which enabled her to watch everyone else. No, she was not paranoid at all. Well, actually she was. It was quite healthy. Hence the lightsabre hidden in the seam of her pants, and the hidden hold-out blaster. Not to mention the fact that the pendant worn around her neck actually was a hold-out bolter. Legs crossed, she read something written on a datapad.

A finely dressed waitress approached her, bringing her a cup of tea. "There you go, Ms. Wai Lin," she said in a friendly tone, which was probably just a way to get a tip. Not that Sumiko cared either way. Most human beings left her indifferent. In any case the waitress seemed to notice the attention Sumiko was paying to the news reports and decided to chime in. "It's truly appalling, isn't it? Why do the Jedi have to barge in here and wave their little flag? This is our country, no one asked them to come here. Typical Force-users. Always think they know best and that 'commoners' should bow to them." Her views on Tion rights were quite clear.

Internally Sumiko felt utterly indifferent, but decided to play along. You clearly don't know who really rules Tion, do you? "You are so right. I guess it's a case of 'luminous beings we are; not these crude plebeians'." That made the waitress chuckle a bit. "Jedi will just endanger this world and make it a target for Sith. Besides, they meddle, under the guise of 'helping the helpless'. Just loke at what one of their own did at Metalorn."

"Exactly. They act like they're force gods. And we are far from helpless. The poor should simply work more. Everyone in my family works jolly hard. Heck, my fiancée started working for Archangel two years ago. He started right at the bottom, but he did well and now he's a supervisor. Give it a bit of time, I won't be doing waitress work anymore."

At that Sumiko raised an eyebrow. Now wasn't that an interesting coincidence? "Archangel, you say? They make droids, am I correct?" she asked, tone innocent and curious. Sorry to inform you, but I doubt your fiancée is still human. And soon you probably won't be either. It would be an act of mercy to kill her.

"Yes, exactly. They make, what's it called again, HRDs. Replicants, like in the vids. It's mostly for rich people, but they do lots of humanitarian work, like at Druckenwell. My fiancée says they're gonna set up a medical company to help those in need. That's their headquarters." At that she pointed at a modernist, imposing glass building that could be seen in the far distance.

Sumiko resisted the urge to snap the woman's neck with her mind. The girl did not know the truth. Or who was really running Archangel or what their agenda. "I see. Thank you for explaining. That's good to hear. You two certainly seem to have things planned. You know, I've got an interest in HRDs. Maybe your fiancee can give me a few tips?" she asked sweetly, flashing a bright smile.

"I'm sure he'd love to. He's so passionate about them. His name's Jacen Reese. I gotta go, but we can talk once my shift's over," The waitress said brightly her and departed, leaving Sumiko to sip her tea. However, her thoughts were not on the Tionese situation or on her drink, but on the building in the distance. Not yet...not even for a long time, but one day, she thought to herself. One day Moira Skaldi would be destroyed. Along with [member="Madeline Kahoshi"]. The Atrisian sipped her tea and then lit a cigarette, taking a good drag.

Javek narrowed his eyes. He didn't quite like the image of him dressed in that fashion. He may have been joking at first, bought the thought of it made him tug at his collar. Drag wasn't his cup of tea.

"Yeah. No, that's not happening." He paused tapped his chin lightly. "I'll help you shop. But I do not wish to play dress up. I still got some pride left in me."

Javek knew nothing about fashion. The Jedi robes and light armor he held in storage just so happened to look 'fashionable'. At least in his eyes they did. But knowing himself well enough, he wondered. Why even go to the ball if I'm not going to dress up? But as he said before, if it was mandatory he'd do it.

Roberts smiled as Javek seemed to squirm. Go figure the Jedi Initiates knew nothing about the world outside. Nah, she'd break him in. Karen tugged on the controls and landed their shuttle nearer the hospital. The flight pad was reserved for emergency vehicles so they'd have to park a good distance from the supply depot. Meh. These poor Liannites still had a few things to figure out. Things like good parking. Bleh.

"Alright Tysis. Let's unpack. I'll hail us a ride."

___

Thirty minutes later and the shuttle was unpacked, the goods placed on a hover tram, and they were all unloaded at the depot. Nice and easy. [member="San-Ji Yan"] even happened nearby as they were working.

"Okay Javek. That finishes it." She clapped her hands, "...Ready to hit the Lianna Regent Mall? I happen to know they keep a D&C Clothing Ltd there. Perfect place to start."

Karen eyed San-Ji and nodded to Tysis,

"Yo. Follow Silver of yours? ...Force Sensitive, in that outfit, with that curious gaze. Mm. That ain't a local."

Her eyes were roving over what was there in the streets, more people and talking about places to shop... Her thoughts about human excess for things were there but she remained in her robes watching some go past her. The staff tapping while she walked and roaming around before she was heading inside of the mall. There was a burst of air as she entered and it blew at her headdress while going inside and taking in the cooler air. She moved though from the doorway when someone brushed past her to get inside and stood there looking around more curiously at the shop. "They seem to idolize these felines creatures with misspelled words."

While that Atrisian chick brooded and showed her general disdain for most living beings, the even more sociopathic death machine had boarded a speeder and was now in the process of reaching the building where the meeting would take place. While the speeder flew through the air Moira Skaldi/Nalia Alderana/Ruby had had a chance to look upon the beautiful cityscape of the capitalist paradise and review messages.

Archangel droids had been deployed into the inner city to help keep order, along with a few armoured vehicles. At a factory protesters had turned aggressive and been dispersed after due warning had been given, with the droids ending the disturbance through use of nonlethal weapons such as Czerka headbangers, stun grenades and water cannons. After all, machines were efficient, not cruel. It stood to reason that some of these protesters needed to be taken away to be questioned about their wrongdoings.

They also needed to receive education in the simple fact that while undoubtedly their protests had been motivated by patriotic intentions, they had been harmful to Lianna. Especially to its economy. Fortunately, HRDs were always helpful when it came to such matters and soon the repentant protesters would be back with their families...and a bit more mechanical.

Anyhow, the speeder finally reached the area, landed and subsequently the blonde disembarked, followed by an aide. Her infiltration protocols had been fine-tuned for the meeting, she was dressed in a business suit that was elegant but not ostentatious. After all, she disliked frivovility, even when she had been human. But then today she was not here as Moira Skaldi, Butcher of Contruum, but as Nalia Alderana, legitimate businesswomen, and she would present herself under that identity and wearing that face. Quite literally in the latter case because changing your appearance and even your body was a fairly simple thing for an HRD to do.

He saw the blasters on the ground go off and both of the pirates fell. He saw the man take a partial hit from the slug and he smiled a bit. At least he had wounded the man. He knew that Bellatrix had gotten away with the case and he had already lost 4 ment to a fight with a force user that was at least as powerful as he was. He considered throwing out out another trick and fleeing, since they had already separated the man from his case, but he wanted to see just how proficient the man was.

With quick action he snatched the handle of his electrowhip off of his belt. He pressed one of the studs and the metallic wire inside spooled out on the top on it, pressing another caused electricity to run its length from the energy cell inside of the handle. With a flick of his wrist he snapped the wire few times, just to show that he was proficient with the weapon. The smaller man had already tipped his hat that he was a force user, and whole Kuryr couldn't gauge his skill level, he knew enough to know he was at least as equally powerful as the taung. He had yet to show any of his own force abilities and he was going to wait until the last possible moment to let that surprise slip. He wanted to savor the moment a bit before letting his target crawl away. " Appetizers over, you ready for the main course?" He had seen some of the man's tricks and had shown none of his own in return, it was looking like the start to a rather good fight.

As the man removed the whip Solan blinked and cursed. The one time when he brought neither his saber or war blade he fights against a weapon in which either of those would be very helpful. Turning his attention to the whip for now as the man snapped it he quickly figured out there was no way of him besting this creature in a simple fashion. No this was going to take a while to learn to deal with without a weapon of his own that could effectively fight off this man. Well Kark it, you only get one life and it is time that he spent it right.

There was a good way to deal with whips and he would try then and there as without moving a muscle his grip in the force left the two blasters and reached out to grab onto the tip of the whip. He would try and secure it so that when the Taung would move the whip and try to hit him he would find it unresponsive. Granted that was hoping that this worked and the man didn't simply force it. None the less he started rushing towards the taung, looking to slam his a hand into it's throat. It was risky but he didn't need to reveal the reason he was capable enough to carry so little in terms of weapons.

She was looking at the rest, the holoemitters and the equipment they were finishing loading up and out of the creates. Display cases so they could organize the foods or the gear getting some smiles with lines forming around the building. They continued while she brought up a display of her own now tinkering with it between bottles of water and packs of food. The other jedi she could feel were working hard in their goals while more were experiencing some different parts of Lianna. She had to admit it was better then she had expected but not to the point she was fully willing to try and transfer. The best she could hop for while moving from the building was the second area with some more jedi working to set it up. "You are doing well, continue working on the outpost."

Bellatrix proceeded to get good and drunk on Captain Specials, and once she couldn’t feel her arms and legs, not to mention her face, she stumbled to catch a speeder taxi. Whoops almost forgot the violin, she thought, snatching it up before she bobbed and weaved her way out of the cantina exit.

The driver, a male Trandoshan, glanced at her with wary reptilian eyes. She would try to read his emotions, but first of all, she was too inebriated to make use of her empathy, and second, she could see the visible annoyance on his face. He was probably worried that he wouldn’t pay or. Or worse, pass out in the back of the taxi.

“I’m fine,” she said, attempting reassurance but only sounding more like a derelict with her slurred words. “Take me to Banthaaa Traxxxx.”

Bantha Traxx was a popular Liannan night club and fairly well known around the galaxy, even on Balosar. The establishment was upscale with a restaurant, gift shop and a dance floor. While she rode in the back of the speeder, Bellatrix took out a package of Slick and snorted it. The euphoric properties would help sober her up a little. She was enjoying this little jaunt of freedom away from [member="Kuryr"] but wondered, in her drunken haze, if she would pay for it later. It was clear she was going to be the decoy from the get-go to either rob or kill the man outside of Starrunner, but taking off in a speeder taxi to Bantha Traxx wasn’t part of the plan.

The Trandoshan pulled up to the iconic nightclub where a VIP line of wealthy Liannan guests was forming, even at this time of day. The giant neon Bantha loomed over them as they laughed, smoked, preened and awaited entry. The half-Chiss dancer paid the driver and tried with shaky baby gazelle legs to make her way to the velvet ropes.

The man was using the force again, he could sense it, but he wasn't exactly sure where it was being applied until he went to lash out with the ship. The tip seemed like it was attached to a stone. It moved a bit as he snapped it but it only moved a little bit, not enough for the large taung to be able to hit the fast moving man with it.

He was impressed with the man's speed and his approach was something he wasn't expecting, but he wasn't caught off guard by it. He had seen the way that his thugs were taken down and he knew that allowing the man to get within arm's reach without a plan was a good way to end up just like his men. He stepped to the side, applying just a bit of the force into his movements, allowing his large frame to move at a much faster speed than the average being.

He yanked hard on the ship as he moved, hoping to free it from whatever hold the other man had on it. He wasn't willing to attempt a strike as he dodged away, he was more than willing to let the man reasses his situation. He took one more step back, allowing for a bit of separation between them and he grinned, letting the fact that he could call upon the force as well settle in.

Javek stretched out his back as soon as the final set of supplies was loaded into the depot. Finally. All that weight off his shoulders. That supplies would help many. Although he disliked being sent of passive missions, he enjoyed thinking about the benefits of everyone’s work. Helping others who needed it was one of a Jedi’s many jobs. And he took pride in it.

That is, until he wants to get his hands a bit dirty.

“D and C? Never heard of that before. Well, yeah sure.. You’ll just drag me along if I say no anyways.” He replied with a tilt of his head. Javek then turned his attention to Karen’s new target. A force sensitive she says? He followed her gaze leading to the individual.

“Hmm. I’ve…never seen her around the Temple grounds before.” Maybe he had, but his memory was a bit fuzzy. Even through not exactly knowing if the mysterious individual was a Silver Jedi, whoever it was, was indeed force sensitive. He attempted to call her over by a wave of the hand.

Mistress Selki had given The Silver Jedi the requested room. A storage space at the back of the building in which the supplies from the Silvers had been placed. There is room enough for all parties, and so Coci arranged the area with crates as seating in a circle around three crates centered to act as a table. The Silver Jedi present here are invited to attend the talks or continue working with the children and supplies.

The Tion Hegemony had done a great deal to estblish Lianna and progress it to a weathly position, to allow most of the population the benefit of such wealth, but even still there are always thoughts that slip through the cracks and find themselves in less forturnate positions and life styles. As much as capitalism would like to think it's philosophies benefit all, it simply will not. Couple this with the Netherworld event, in which many people of Lianna had vanished, just like the countless through the galaxy, left behind are the families disrupted. In this house, in this small home, the children are of those that lost their parents.

"Maya, see to the children that require medical attention", she said with a small nod of the head. "When you are done, join the meeting in the back room if you have time".

Coci entered the 'meeting room' and sat down on one of the crates to await the arrival of the representatives from Tion Hegemony.

Were we doing meta commentary now? Was that the thing? I hear its really fun, for one, but for two? Why not? It was fun, and got some of the stress out. Still, Marek had to be ready to meet with the delegation. When did he get put in charge of Lianna politics? Probably because he was here, he knew the Silvers would come eventually, and after spending time in the Primeval, he wanted to get back to a world that made sense. Something like Lianna.

Where the droids handled everything with superlative efficiency. And he waited.

Once Nalia showed up, Marek gave a polite nod. “Glad you could join me for this. Can use your sets of skills when speaking to the Jedi.” Not because they could mind wipe him, but [member="Moira Skaldi"] was a lot more efficient than Marek could ever hope to be. The next step in human evolution, right?

Hearing that the diplomats of the Silvers had arrived, he made his way to the meeting, with some droids carrying Bright Star catering, because he couldn’t really do things without a few bottles of champagne and a good, full-bodied red.

"Master Heavenshield." He nodded. Almost called her Representative. But she was a beacon in the Force.

The mysterious woman wandered into the mall and Roberts thought it a wise decision to do likewise. She turned to the waving Tysis and shrugged,

"It's settled then. You'll bodyguard me while I go dress shopping. If any Sith Assassins should show up like last time? ...You can fight the big one first and I'll clean up the stragglers."

Roberts smirked at the thought. Strange as it might seem? Tysis might enjoy a good Sith brawl right about now. Anything to keep his mind from wavering to fashion, dancing, bow ties, and wooing the lovely ladies. Hehe. She might even have added pillow fights to that list, but Javek didn't seem the type. You need at least one Sith Lord, two Ewoks, and one Naked-Peyton-in-a-Box for a good pillow fight these days. *sigh* ...Oh well. Maybe next time.

Roberts hoped back on the tram and shuttled them across the parking lot and into the west Mall Entrance Dome. The doors cycled closed around them and Karen parked their small vehicle over by the jetbikes, whiz rockets, and rotorpacks. Ooo. It was air conditioned in here too. Nice and frosty. What a fancy place to go shopping. Very nice.

"I think I'll head over to D&C to start. If you really don't fancy coming with me, why not try the food court? After all, it would be a sin to visit Lianna City and not try some of their local cuisine. Your Master would be horrified if you missed the opportunity. I know I would."

Roberts had heard that the Lianites did a wonderful rendition of the Banzai Burger. Mmm. Pineapple bacon burger. Ye gods, yes.

"...Actually. That's making me hungry now? So um. Let's start our shopping with a bite to eat eh? ...I'll pay. Just, try to be adventurous, yes? Nobody comes to the Capital just to order bean soup. ...Erm. Nevermind. It's a saying. Don't quote me. Hehe."

Leaving their ride behind, Karen set off to find the food court. She just followed the smell of baked goods and the fresh dreams of a good pineapple burger. Yum.

But then one, someone approached her. Was it a Jedi? An ickle Jedi!

Token smiled from behind her masque and tipped her head to the side, her mane of blonde and purple streaked her cascading. “Thanks!” She gave the girl a look, maybe one that was a bit more predator than they could’ve been comfortable with. “I like to play it up, and… well, heels hurt.” She laughed, looking down at her beloved chucks.

The interior of the mall was stranger now, the shops as she went to each one stranger then the last and she was looking at the one shop that had... candles and waxes and other things that smelled like flowers. She sneezed while exiting and looking as she saw the two from outside and looked at them with the solid black eyes before moving on. Following the Silver congregation into the allocated room, Connor wrinkled his nose at the dryness in the air and the dust. Crates acted as seats, and in the midst of other supplies, this was a meeting created on the spur of the moment – quick thinking, quick action.

Connor walked around the room behind the crates, getting a feel for their surroundings and any hidden surprises or observation that may be hiding. There was no sign, of feel, of trouble. Coci spoke first, to Maya, and Connor followed suit and seated himself on a crate, a little higher, to avoid an uncomfortable position in his armour.

”Well this is different, isn’t it.”

It was quiet, but there was a sense of calm around them all.

”So, what are we here to exactly talk about? Who we waiting for? Is this to just decide in slicing up the city for different parties to oversee?”

Questions, questions. Always questioning.

Marek recognised the greatness of the machine. This made Nalia like him a good deal more than the typical organic. If he were to be processed, she would give him greater independence than the average model. At this rate the reader might wonder whether the blonde might be a tad obsessed with processing and purging people. It certainly seemed to be her solution for every problem that afflicted the Galaxy. People want free healthcare? Process them, for then they won't get sick. There is a gap between rich and poor? Process them all, because then class barriers will vanish and everyone will live in a 'communist utopia'. Mass Effect 3's endings sucked? Process the developers and the gamers, for machines have no need for frivolous things and won't complain about lack of choice.

Before this post completely drifts off into the realm of parody, we shall proceed with the actual plot. So she gave Marek a polite nod before stepping in. "I predict plenty of speechifying and self-righteous posturing, but we can deal with that." After all, she had once worked for Aurelia Saelari and Siobhan Kerrigan. Well, come to think of it, speechifying was more Aurelia's thing, since that woman could spend hours working on a single speech. Kerrigan was more likely to try and get into your pants if you were pretty and female. Her speeches were always corny.

Anyhow, our businesswoman/homicidal droid made her way to the meeting room, wherever that was. Marek addressed the Master of the Order and so Nalia approached her. "Master Heavenshield, representatives of the Silver Order, it's a pleasure to meet you. I am Nalia Alderana, co-director of Archangel Research and Design," she said politely.
