Public Ready or Not...

The job had been a simple one, even for a group of teenagers. Get into the museum or temple, or whatever the place was, steal the datacron and get out. The complication was that for some reason, the handler wanted a group of them to complete said job. So instead of having to worry abut herself, Lily had to worry about which person was going to bolt, who was going to take more than the job asked, which idiot would freeze if things went sideways or even worse, which on would stick a knife in someone's back. She'd always been a reader, but Sonere and the Nagai telepaths had helps her hone that ability after opening her fully to the force. It had come in handy, and she started to build a small but respectable name for herself as a thief.

Their handler...he'd given off the energy of someone who was outright lying, but what he was lying about Lily couldn't figure out. Was it the money? She'd asked why so many, and he'd simply smiled and shrugged. More hands make a lighter load or some, shavvit. He'd been force sensitive too, felt her poking for an answer on the surface of his thoughts and he'd closed her out. Lily at the very least had had a chance to scope the museum out the days leading up to the job. It was open to public in the days, so she'd walked its paths, planned her exits. Always a minimum of three routes.

She was confident, regardless of all the warning signals, that whatever wasn't sitting right was simple paranoia. So as midnight rolled over the city, and someone picked the lock to get them in, she slipped in with a smile on her face. A smile that had stayed, until lockdown alarms had blared. And the cold sensation of someone watching from the shadows, spread over her. This wasn't a job, they were not thieves. This was a hunt and they were the prey.

"RUN!"

Force Sensitives were rare.

That was how the galaxy worked. Some were gifted with the Force, most weren't. It was an unfair and cruel reality that didn't matter until it did. That made those who could feel it valuable. Very valuable. And for Vazz, worth hunting down. Either literally, or for sending along to the Sith.

If they refused the Sith, though, it would end in a hunt regardless.

He watched from the shadows. Smiled as at least one seemed to realize the trap. Perhaps they might be of use. If not, well, at least they'd be fun to hunt down. The Defel sunk into the shadows, content with watching just for the moment.

Panic and fear would do the work for him.

The group scattered in all directions, their feet hammering across the duracrete in all directions. Lily picked her first route, heading north, her feet silent on the floor courtesy of her tattoo. The panicked shouts were nothing in comparison tot the screaming thoughts that rattled over her mind.

Halfway down the corridor she slid, turning to quickly to her right just as the durasteel lockdown door slammed into place. "Shavvit." All her exits would be useless. She'd need a new way out. Calm and collected she cast her eyes upwards, looking for windows, ventilation shafts...anything. Lily'd spent her life time outrunning people hell bent on killing her. This was just another day.

A scream echoed up the corridor, and one of the streams of thought she'd come in with died in a burst of pain that lanced through Lily's skull. bright hot and white behind her eyes, she clutched her head. "Ow, feth, shavvit." she tucked into an alcove against the wall, leaning on it and sinking slowly to the floor, waiting for the migraine to pass, if she closed her mind off, entirely, she'd lose any advantage she might of knowing if someone was coming for her.

Draazo had been out of the game for too long and with his accounts running low, he couldn't afford to say no to this job. A simple burglary felt a little below his skillset but credits were credits.

When they had entered the museum he had split from the rest of the group, he didn't need anyone getting in his way as he carefully made his way past the various sensors and cameras. That slow pace continued until the alarms went off.

"Amateurs." He muttered, but he couldn't shake the feeling that something else had happened other than a simple accident. He pulled a blaster pistol from his belt. If he hurried, he could make it to a security station and lift the lockdown. From there he just had to get the datacron and get out.

What could go wrong?

Crenaal was a lookout. It was a simple job. Just keep an eye out for any security droids. He did not particularly enjoy the fact that he was stooping to a burglary job, but Credits were Credits. And he needed a lot of credits. Even now, he was already starting to feel hungry.

Other than the peckishness, everything seemed to be going smoothly. The pretty blonde Lily Rhodes Lily Rhodes seemed like a capable leader. And security was light. Surprisingly light. He had not yet spotted a single security droid. It was a bit odd, but there were places that abhorred employing or using droids at all. Something about being afraid they'll become sentient and rise up and revolt or some nonsense.

Then came the alarms. "Well, feth." At least the sirens were now drowning out the growling his stomach had started making.
Crenaal could hear Rhodes shout out. What was going on? Was security actually hiding further in? Still, he ran for an exit.

Only to be blocked by a security door slamming shut. "Damn! Damn, damn, feth, damn!" Lockdown. There was a good chance the doors were likely impervium -- he couldn't tell -- but it wouldn't matter anyway. Considering the majority of the Credits Crenaal earned went to keep him from starving, he really couldn't afford weapons or tools. Or the permits that one needed to carry them without trouble. He was trapped. They all were, unless they could find a way to sneak out without getting caught by whatever security measures might be activated.

Too bad he had absolutely no idea what the layout of this place was....
