Technicians are able to comb through endless files on everything from incidences of plasma burns to traumatic brain injury and compile statistics on which existing treatments have proven successful and which ones have not. Scientists and doctors are then able to work together with engineers to try to improve existing treatments and devise new ones. Once a new or improved treatment has been devised, it can be field tested extensively, simply because there's never a shortage of people who need it.
Once a treatment has been perfected, it's sent over to Production. Production determines the best way to move forward with mass production, factoring in both costs and effectiveness. All products are made in accordance with the strictest regulations that can be found, barring the weird religious ones. Marketing is handled by the main marketing branch of RCFC.
