+Charismatic: Rayne is very much aware that he can be a highly charismatic appearance, and he is known to use his charms to open doors that would otherwise stay firmly locked.
-Trained by Darth Metus: As a former apprentice of Dark Lord Metus, Rayne has come across a plenitude of people, mostly women, who first loved him but now very much hate his guts; he has the scars to prove it.
-Blunt: Although generally reasonable, Rayne can also be very blunt if being the bad guy means it gets the job done. Even if there might be less morally conflicting ways to get the job done with a little bit more effort involved, Rayne has absolutely no moral issues with taking the easier route.

Personality: As a person, Rayne is not overly difficult to get along with. He can be considered as a friendly man with rather simple tastes, including his love for Banthas and slapstick comedy, and as the kind of person who respects honesty and hard work. Surprisingly difficult to truly anger, Rayne is a reliable and rather reasonable person who will nevertheless fiercely defend his loved ones and those under his care. Rayne also likes alphabet soup.As a Sith Lord, Dark Master Rayne Centaris is much more moderate than some of his peers. Without any past trauma "to be angsty about", as he personally likes to call it, Rayne draws upon entirely different emotions and this has a tendency of showing in his behaviour. While Rayne is very much capable of making the kind of difficult choices which people more faint of heart might find difficult to stomach, he can most certainly be considered ruthless or calculated, possibly even downright evil, but always for a reason and on behalf of a greater cause. This often puts him at odds with his peers at the Thorn Chapter, but his moderate views did allow him to take on the role of Acting Headmaster of Thorn Academy.
Background: Rayne Centaris was born as the first son of Alexis Eberle, a moisture farmer living with her parents on the Eberle Estates in the Dune Seas of Tatooine. He never got to know his father whom, as far as Rayne was told, worked as a spacer and left Alexis for the stars and "the next big haul" after only a very brief romance. Despite being left with nothing but his father's looks and the name which he would eventually come to adopt, the young Rayne was nevertheless born into a warm and loving family. In his early childhood, which was actually rather uneventful, Rayne was never left wishing for anything (except for that time he wanted a Bantha, or that one time he wanted to live with a passing Clan of Jawas) and while work on the moisture farm was often hard in the searing heat of the Tatooine Dune Seas, it taught Rayne the virtue of hard and honest work.Maybe the biggest event, or possibly even the defining moment, of Rayne's childhood was when his mom married a man named Al Tanoor. While it initially was somewhat confusing to have another man at the moisture farm, especially because his grandfather Jerek had always been the male role model in his life, Rayne would eventually accept Al into his life as well. The fact his new stepfather was a Bantha herder very much helped to ease the initially strained relation, and eventually hearing that he would get a new brother to play with pretty much did the rest; by the time Al Tanoor and Alexis Eberle got married, Rayne had fully accepted the man as his father.
The years that followed were rather uneventful as well. While Rayne experienced difficulties as he grew up and his Force Sensitivity manifested itself in more obvious ways, such as that nagging voice in the back of his mind that always seemed to fuel his darkest impulses and desires, or how some things just seemed to happen if he focused on them just hard enough, it never truly held him back. In fact, Rayne Tanoor was a rather happy Bantha herder when he would eventually run into the Dark Lord Metus; who realized Rayne's potential and offered to take him under his wing. Whether it was just plain curiosity that tempted Rayne into accepting the Dark Lord's offer, or whether it was the joy of finally encountering someone who understood his difficulties and even offered to help control his urges, is a question that remains unknown; it was possibly a combination of both. The most important part was that Rayne's family supported his choice and told him that, if he ever came back to Tatooine, there would always be a place for him at the Eberle Estates.
At the advice of the Dark Lord Metus, Rayne adopted the name of his biological father and became Rayne Centaris; it would keep his family on Tatooine safe from anyone who might wish him personal harm, and allow Rayne to live his life without having to worry about his choices negatively affecting his relatives.
The years that followed remain somewhat of a mystery, as do many things surrounding the man known as Darth Metus. The Dark Lord did come through on his promise and helped Rayne to realize his true potential; shaping him into the man that would eventually become the Sith Lord Rayne Centaris many years later.
Notable Belongings
-A room in the Eberle Estates: The Eberle Estates is the name given to the moisture- and Bantha farm belonging to Rayne's parents and maternal grandparents. While Rayne left the farm a long time ago and only occasionally returns there to visit his family, he will always have his old room there.
-Chambers of the Headmaster: As the Acting Headmaster of Thorn Academy, Rayne has full access to the extensive rooms designated as "Chambers of the Headmaster". Complete with a private library and a view over the Academy Campus, these are Rayne's primary accommodations.
Weapons:
-Lightsaber: Rayne created this lightsaber during his time training under the Dark Lord Metus, after proving himself worthy of wielding the weapon. While it is a normal lightsaber, it holds a significant emotional value to Rayne due to the memories associated with this weapon.
-Short-bladed Lightsaber: A weapon Rayne rarely -if ever- uses in direct combat, the short-bladed lightsaber in his left sleeve only serves as either a last resort or as a lethal surprise against an enemy who wouldn't otherwise suspect to be faced with a concealed second blade.

-Bantha Plushie: One of Rayne's most trusted companions throughout his life, Muumuu is a plushie that has been repeatedly patched up over the years and now decorates the corner of his desk at the Thorn Academy.
