One thing in the universe is certain - people desire power. When people desire power, they will make devices of immense consumption. Triam Akovin has crafted a number of items that take a huge draw of energy in very small spaces of time, and in realizing the demands of her own devices, she sought out sources of energy that could more reliably and handily produce the power they needed to operate most effectively.
In order to have power, one must use power, and Triam decided she would use Pyronium for this purpose. Going through the effort of finding and cultivating the gem-metal, Triam went through the trouble of studying the properties of the material, and determining the best methods of utilization. Through this hardship, Triam was able to craft a consumable device of immense strength that matched her needs, and re-use capabilities. A power cell "PURing" with energy.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

- Average Life: The energy can be held in the power cell nigh-indefinitely, but once activated for use it quickly drains each power level within the span of several seconds up to a minute (until fully depleted), and will require a recharge to full capacity until it can be used again.

- Pyronium energy absorption - This particular power cell holds a pyronium core, which is the basis for its energy storage, and thus at a much smaller size, a single power cell can hold a far more massive amount of energy than any typical power cell.
- Agrinium structure - Agrinium is a material alloy remarkable for its radioactive resistance, its lightweight composition, and making an excellent barrier from most forms of damage. These traits together made the ideal material for the Power Cell itself, to protect the Pyronium core from being set off by outside disturbances, and keeping the ultra-compact Power Cell light as well, despite its relative density.
- Pyronium - The amount of energy stored inside this device is staggering thanks to the use of pyronium, a unique substance which holds a hyperspatial matrix through which it can store more energy inside of itself than would be structurally possible otherwise. Therefore, in this power cell, it can store upwards of nine times the strength of conventional power cells, with each level of strength represented by the colors black, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, and finally white.
- Ultra-compact - Again, given the pyronium core storing so much more energy than a standard power cell by its very nature, more space can be allotted to ensuring safe and nearly indefinite storage, and safe release of energy, thus allowing the far more energetic power cell to maintain the same general size of a standard power cell.
- Rechargeable - A critical development necessary to make this pyronium based power cell to be successful, and more than a very rare, very expensive, single use paper weight, the RAW PUR Power Cell is fully rechargeable. Once all energy has been ejected from the power cell, and depleted to "black" levels, the energy levels can be restored to full "white" levels after a period of recharging. However, in order to be used again, the power cell must be recharged to full power or it will deplete all its energy back to black levels without any storage capacity.
- Power Cell - As a product intended for intense energy output, the PUR Power Cell requires a certain durability to ensure it isn't "set off" explosively from minor perturbations in its frame or from radiation. To this end, the power cell is constructed and coated with Agrinium plating to ensure it is sufficiently sturdy and capable of keeping out radioactive particles that might set off the pyronium core into a depletion cycle.
- All or nothing - At full power, the power cell can hold energy nigh-indefinitely, but anything less than full power, the cell will begin its depletion cycle, depleting each level more rapidly than ordinary all the way back to black levels. Thus, one must wait at least nine times longer than a standard rechargeable power cell, before the PUR Power Cell is useful again, and if its charging cycle is interrupted, this process will be restarted back to the beginning at the lowest power level.
- Rapid use - The PUR Power Cell is good for only one thing: rapid and immediate power. Unfortunately, this means it has little in the way of sustainability, with an absolute theoretical maximum operational time of nine minutes once put to use, which in of itself would be rare, as more often than not at least a few power levels will drain faster than a full minute.
- Energetic Core Collapse - While the PUR Power Cell is constructed with Agrinium to mitigate the possibility of damage, there is very good reason for it. A breach to the Agrinium shell surrounding the Pyronium Core will expose it to catalyst elements and radioactive particles that will cause the core to spontaneously implode all of its stored energy before finally releasing all nine levels of energy into a relatively massive explosion, mimicking the process of a supernovae and leaving behind a husk of a core that is non-recoverable. Where a standard Power Cell might have the explosive potential of a small grenade, the PUR Power Cell could be likened more to a falling artillery shell for comparable damage. Ensuring the safety of these Power Cells would be a users absolute top priority, or risk serious collateral damage.
