SETTING INFORMATION
  • Nexus Name: Raven's Point
  • Nexus Alignment: Neutral
  • Location: Ryloth
  • Affiliation: The Confederacy
  • Size: Medium
  • Strength: Strong
  • Accessibility: To the naked eye Raven's point is invisible, it does not exist. The main entrance to the library would appear to be nothing more than the face of a mountain, covered in rock and dirt. Even those attuned to the Force are unable to see this location. The mountains of Ryloth are treacherous and difficult to pass, however the greatest defense to these lands is Morrok, who has been tasked with the defense of the library. This dragon can often be seen hunting in the valleys and canyons below the mountainous range. He is merciless to those who trespass in his mountains, and more so those who dare go near Raven's Point.
  • Description: Raven's Point, or the Home of Knowledge, is a hidden library built into one of the mountain ranges of Ryloth. There is only one entrance into the library and that is just below the peak of the mountain. The large stone walls of Raven's Point are encrusted with fresh seals, hot with ancient Sith magic. These seals shine a vibrant shade of Jungle Green. These seals shine bright when a member of The Mandragora or their allies arrives, showing Raven's Point preparation to receive the visitor. Stepping through the large entrance, you are led into halls lined with torches, that dance with an endless flame. These torches are not only the only source of light in the library, but they are also an interior defense system. The Force is fluid and ever in motion within. The long, twisting, caverns that are lined with pristine stone walls lead to many ends, however every path leads to the Grand Study. A room several hundred meters wide, it is host to thousands of years of information and text. This is one of the most impressive collections of knowledge within The Confederacy. Paper and leather, each tome holds fantastical information on some of the various species, languages, and mystical powers in the galaxy.

NEXUS EFFECTS
The Wealth of Knowledge: Within Raven's Point a Force User's mind is connected to the vast network of information that makes up the Grand Study. Although this archive is lacking, it will open it's knowledge and power to any and all members of The Mandragora. This special form of meditation can allow a user to read entire tomes in only a single hour and it gives them a focus that would otherwise be unobtainable.

The Fountain of Power: Raven's Point is a structure that deepens the bond between Force User and the living Force. Be it the light side or the Dark Side, the powers that one holds in Raven's Point are slightly amplified, giving them greater control over their abilities and sometimes better understanding as well.

POINTS OF INTEREST
The Master Gate: The one and only entrance to Raven's Point is the massive threshold that is known as the Master Gate. Although it appears to be a threshold with no door it's ability to reject those unaccepted by the Mandragora is nearly absolute. This gateway can only be surpassed by those accepted, those who are not accepted by the keeper's of this library will find themselves unable to pass.

The Grand Study: The Grand Study is a single spine that unifies Raven's Point, it is composed of thousands of texts and scrolls that hold knowledge collected from the far ends of the galaxy. Some of the knowledge even dates back to the Galactic Civil War and the infamous Clone Wars before it. The Grand Study is manned by The Mandragora and is considered, their sanctuary of knowledge. It includes comfortable seating, work areas, and even several meditation spaces where users may focus on their studies and their deepened connection with The Force.

The Charm: Even those who come to study can find themselves in need of a break. The Charm is a small cantina built into the deepest part of Raven's Point. Not only does this cantina serve an array of drinks and specialties, it is called The Charm for a reason. Often, spells of intoxication and other mischief are cast upon the willing to better improve their evening. The Charm is a notable socialization point and serves a good deal of food that will keep any customer satisfied.

The Grove: Life is precious, Raven's Point leads deep into a mountain and does have one exterior portion. The Grove is on the reverse side of Raven's Point and is a lush example of life and foliage on an otherwise barren planet. Many plants and fauna have been immigrated to the grove and most take rather well considering the extreme amount of sunlight they get. There are several aqueduct systems to provide the plants and trees with a steady supply of water. Members of The Mandragora are allowed to plant and grow their own fauna here so long as it does not damage the rather resilient ecosystem.

Raven's Rest: Hundreds of room line Raven's Point. Each one is cozy and has only a single bed, a work desk, and a refresher. The rooms are issued out to members who frequent the library and can be changed and decorated to the owner's desire.

SECURITY
Medium

The Dragon, Morrok: As the mountain range that Raven's Point sits in is often coined, "Morrok's Mountains," it is no surprise to find one of The Confederacy's most faithful dragon's standing guard over the mountain range. Morrok is a predator who ravages most living intruders to his mountains, yet it has always been noticed that he will defend his home, Raven's Point from any who do not belong. When not flying over the skies or sleeping in the deepest part of the mountain range, Morrok is often seen curled into a tight ball, only meters away from The Master Gate.

The Fires of the Mandragora: Torches line the walls of Raven's Point. These torches are more than a simple light fixture. These fires are hexed by the Force to halt the advancement of anyone who has forced themselves into Raven's Point. The fires will turn black become extensions of the Dark Side, lashing out at those who have dared to breach the Mandragora's defenses. These torches line the entirety of Raven's Point, mostly in their winding halls and are extremely dangerous to those who would do the Mandraora harm.

The Dark Lord's Touch: Raven's Point is hidden by the Force. A massive Force Illusion causes the entrance to appear as nothing more than the face of the mountain. Green symbols line the Master Gate and as long as those symbols remain then Raven's Point will be hidden from both sight and senses.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The ancient Jedi of the Clone Wars were tricked and defeated by their Sith counterparts. During this time all knowledge that was held in the Grand Jedi Archive fell into the hands of the Sith Lords and was either destroyed, hoarded, or redacted. The Sith hoped to wipe the order from the very fabrics of history, so that no one could ever rise to challenge them. However, the Grand Archive was not the only great library that the Jedi created in an effort to preserve knowledge.

Although they were only slivers of the greater knowledge, hundreds of these libraries were thought to exist, hidden far from the public eye and safe from harm. Raven's Point was one of these Jedi archive caches. It was created in the middle of the great Clone War, as a way to keep a deposit of knowledge further from the core. After the destruction of the Jedi Order, Raven's Point was lost to history for almost one hundred years. It was not until a new Jedi Order had risen to reclaim the ashes left behind the last. With the reclamation of Raven's Point it was opened to scores of Jedi and their orders for years. For so long it became a place of learning and studies for Jedi all over the galaxy. Of course, as history had shown where the Jedi would travel, calamity would follow. A group of Sith Lords tracked the Jedi to this remote library, finally unearthing a secret that had been kept for over a hundred years. The battle was long, bloody, and after almost a month the siege of Raven's Point was over, the Sith had been defeated.

The Jedi had paid their price in the skirmish, most of the Jedi Archivist had been killed with only a small group of Jedi left to rebuild. So they did, for years they worked to replace the knowledge that had been destroyed and cleanse the library of the Dark Side that now hovered over Raven's Point after the hellish battle. When it seemed that the Jedi would finally rebuild their Archive they were all struck down. One by one they fell prey to a greater enemy than their Sith counterparts of old, The Gulag Plague. This plague destroyed the Jedi, one after another until finally Raven's Point was lost to the galaxy once again. It would be hundreds of years before The Confederacy finally found the Library and sought to restore it, making it a wealth of knowledge once more to be used and manned by The Mandragora.

Only one tiny issue that might need fixed. Right now, the Mandragora link leads to a roster that can't be seen by anyone not in the CIS. Is there another link to say a Lore or NPC submission that could replace it?
