Early Years
Rathe Thorn was born 819 ABY, the only son of a Hapan naval officer. His family had a legacy of piracy in their past, and so the boy was tainted by association. He was very young when his propensity for the family legacy proved to be a good direction for him. Rathe was to be raised on his father's Battle Dragon, where he was born.
Adolescence
Rathe learned to pilot quickly, and proved to be adept in all things space travel. The Navy life was going to be good for Rathe. This was not going to be a reality though as his parents were both arrested by the Heritage Council for treason. As an orphan, Rathe was exiled outside the cluster. His thirteenth birthday saw his parents freed as the charges proved false, and the family reunited.
Teenage Years
Rathe was rebellious as any teen. The teen rebelled from the navy life. There was a group of pirates which were organizing against the Heritage Council. Rathe joined them as a lowly errand boy, but soon worked his way up to piloting the ship. There were several raids, and soon the Thorn name was famous for piracy once again. When he turned eighteen, the ship he was on faced off against his father. They were forced to surrender, and Rathe went to prison.
Adulthood
Rathe spent the next seven years in prison. This built up his contacts in the criminal world, and when he was freed, he left the cluster. It was there he decided one day he would make the council pay for jailing him. He would steal a Battle Dragon. Until then he needed a crew. Time to start looking.
