Rare Commodities [Primeval Dominion of Muunilinst]

Setzi Lunelle

Searching for Eleos's Altar
Muunilinst is a world rich in wealth and resources, home to the Muun, headquarters of the InterGalactic Banking Clan, and the target of Primeval’s next acquisition. With that in mind, a Royal Ball is being held in high in the sky above Harnaidan for all characters, regardless of faction in order to do business on Muun, have projects financed, socialize, dine, dance and have fun.
There are also some other objectives for those not interested in the Gala.

lIBKY8pl.jpg

Objective One:

Gala in the High Port Space Center in Harnaidan

This lavish ball is hosted by Muun Mines and Kallisto Mining Company in a luxury home far above the skyscrapers of Harnaidan. Come dressed in your finest gowns and tuxedos to do business, dance or admire the beautiful atmospheric views from up in the clouds over the city. The Muun are wealthy so come get your new business idea financed. Just be careful of those loan sharks!

Meet Princess [member="Thais Kallisto"] from Isis, who will be there to do business with Muun Mines. Also [member="Darth Mythos"]
and [member="Kara Avoyos"]

eVoKqROl.jpg

Objective Two:

Pilan Podracing

Pilan is home to a large podracing track and various cantinas where you can unofficially gamble on the races. Or if you have a need for speed, bring your pod and challenge your fellow writers to a race.

0PHuGuwl.jpg

Objective Three:

Explore the island of Aborah

Aborah is a picturesque island situated in the Western Sea. Since the island is a “smoker” there is vibrant sea life to view if you want to go for a dive. Likewise there are vast reserves of gold, silver and platinum to mine. Or just lie on the beach and relax. No loan sharks here, but there could be a Great White or two.

Objective Four:
Do your own Primeval thang!

Laguz made it point of knowing influential people in the Galaxy, because influential people of the Galaxy always, invariably, infallibly, required services of people like xemself. Be it theft, subterfuge, intel gathering, or straight-up murder, the merc was their man. Or woman. Or whatever else the job required, really.

And when xe got such a wonderful chance to mingle with said elite and even — dare xe say — pick and choose xir clients… well, it was just too good an opportunity to pass up. With a shiny tuxedo and a gleaming smile to boot, Laguz looked positively dashing today. A few lined pockets later, and the merc slipped into the High Port Space Center through the VIP entrance as if xe were royalty xemself.

Well, himself, as the case may be.

He slicked back his brown mane and flashed himself a sideways grin in one of the mirrors as he passed them by, adjusting the blackbowtie that had been jostled during the speeder ride to the center. As he drew nearer along with the rest, the distinctive sound of obscene wealth rang in his ears, and his distinguished eye for credits confirmed this soon after; there was opulence abound as far as the eye could see — and Laguz's eye could see pretty damn far — with riches, gemstones, and jewllery on display as if they were mere trinkets, when in fact they were worth millions.

The longer he lingered, the more famous pieces he recognized decorating the ample bosom of many a magnate, and Laguz realized with some dread that he could very easily end up getting distracted by heisting pursuits in favor of making useful connections.

Oh, well. Shiny. It would be okay, he was certain. There was a fair number of Bleeding Suns roaming in the crowd as well, disguised as all manner of catering, guests, and band members alike, keeping a watchful eye out for those who would oppose the presence of Primeval on Muunilist. Their deaths would be quick, fast, and completely unnoticed, just like the Host Lord would will it.

Naga walked down his landing pad he was in a rather formal attire even for him.. He was here to meet the princess so might as well dress the part..This would be the first time he would dive into the business industry but he had to start some where... its best to start building a proper economy first for that getting a contract with a mineing company is a best start.. and the Princess owning a mineing company was the reason he was here...

He appreciated the Muuns.

Composed, intelligent and restrained in emotion. They displayed defining traits of his former-self like few other species did. Although, having lived a life in robes, the financial aspect of the race was something that admittedly eluded him. Economics had never been something he had cared to indulge in, why would he have needed to? Jedi weren't meant to live the material and he had been a Jedi for a little over thirty years. As a Sith, not much had changed.

Well, it was never too late to learn and that was the purpose of such a visit, after all.

Dressed in standard black robes, the hilt of his lightsaber sat upon his belt in plain sight, although he did not display any signs of aggression. Regardless, Hal appeared as a figure of omen to the civilians of the financial realm.

While he appreciated the Muuns, it was only in certain aspects.

There was an extravagance that irritated him within their architecture, everything was too much for a man as vanilla as Terrano. Boastful. Needless. The doors of The Muun City Library required one to crane their neck to look at it all.

Standing outside, looking upon the building he frowned.

Mythos stood through the ball contemplating Muunilist for the first time in Ages, this was a good time to get acquainted with the Banking clans of Muunilinst so instead of coming alone he of course, brought Galicus Sagious with him And Kida holding his hand. For the first time he brought his Daughter along for the Ride and The Will Atrisia and Sith Knight walked Gallantly with his Nabooian Robes which did an amazing job of hiding his Lightsabers and making him look Fantastic. Beside him walked Galicus and they greeted and saluted every now and then to a long lines of Muuns who were more than just Gallant they were everything Mythos imagined the to be; Graceful, intelligent, proud and of course very, very rich. When approached by a Muun who greeted them he simply stated one sentence. "Good evening may please see the Magistrate? i have business i would like to discuss with him"

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Galicus was not only happy and at home, literally. He shook Mythos' arm and gripped it tight as he heard his question. "Animus, the Magistrate does not have the time or such to be bothered with Trivialities just yet, I promised you i would talk with him and you will have to just trust me. Be patient for once in your life" Galicus walked to and fro greeting associates and recounting in tales of where he had been as many noticed the Absence of the Sagious house Patriarch. Soon enough he was told the Sad news of Aluphims passing and though of [member="Darth Erebos"]. "Oh What a tragedy it is... Give my Condolences to his family" He bowed and stepped away to speak with Animus privately.
"That friend of yours did an amazing job, I want him to be here, is there anyway you can contact him dear boy?" But what Galicus did not know is that Mythos had already called Erebos to dress up and attend, he was met with Mythos' smile and nodding with only one sentance.

"Way ahead of you Uncle"

Of course, standing outside looking at the grand library with a disapproving stare wasn't going to achieve his goal.

A goal.

There was a time not so long ago when Hal Terrano was a broken man, who didn't think that he was capable of having ambition again (as if he had ever held it in the first place). He could still remember the taste of the bile lingering in his mouth as he lay crumpled upon the cell floor, remembered that feeling of despair that stopped his legs from working, that wanted him to die, he remembered the snap of Lira Dajenn's neck.

A twig under foot. The fastening belt in a speeder. The crack of stretched limbs.

He could still hear the snap of Lira Dajenn's neck.

Before he entered the great building, Hal noted the turrets stationed outside. One would think that it was excessive security for a library (no matter how grand) but it was the way of the Muuns, what they lacked in physicality, they made up for with automated defence systems and hired merceneries. To slice into the data archives here would have been a nightmare.

With that thought still in his mind, he entered the building.

Gala's, where not something that a Hutt like him went to. He was a Warlord. He was a priest and prophet. Foremost he was a revulsion of nature, and civility was to him, what depravity was to civility. So, the Black Prophet carrying his Black Magick Staff of human and animal remains, painted with his latest white tribal markings, and within his gullet there rested that living saber of yellow vibrance. Deeper within him still, there rested the certain power of the sinister creature.

Today the serpent rested not within his Throne, but on the shore of this island, stalwart against the wind, like a wart against pristine flesh. His very presence in the force was blistering, and cancerous, heavy with disease and malignancy. A certain depth invaded the once simple confines of the Riftborne's mind.

Before him, he had gathered a few acolytes to his aid, in exploring this island. To explore the life. To witness the change of Balagoth, and for once witnessing the misunderstood aspect of the god of death. Balagoth was merely a god of chaos, of change. Merely because he held the Rift between the two planes of the physical and spiritual, did not mean it was the decider between life and death... as what was the difference between life and death but merely a minute change?

This was the truth, the acolytes would discover this day, if they had the will to see. He awaited them to question his motives, as his solum blue eyes gazed far into the oceanic horizon.

"Woo!" A loud bang filled the cantina as Enoch slammed his cup onto the table. A chorus of groans followed, which only made the Zambrano's smile larger. "That's two for two, gents! Anyone else wanna try their hand?" Enoch yelled, and he received a round of mumbles as the patrons talked amongst themselves. Since he had arrived, Enoch had gone straight for the pod races. Ah gambling...the boy had a knack for it, and had subsequently dismantled anyone who thought they had a better intuition than the Sith Acolyte. Hah!

If their wasn't a race to watch, Enoch was still gambling, but just on a different sport. He'd discovered Holochess while on the planet, and picked it up quickly. His tactical mind destroyed the rabble that dared challenge him. Enoch raised his drink to his lips, downing the last of it. "More!" He yelled to the waitress, before looking at those gathered around his table. A pile of credit vouchers and nerfsliders sat on it, the credits sliding off one another, and the sliders stacked a foot high. Enoch took a slider, shoving it into his mouth with a grand smile as the waitress refilled his cup.

"Soh...no 'ne's gunnah challenge meh?" Enoch asked, talking with the slider in his mouth. A few people of various species left, realizing staying was no doubt going to lose them their money. But one man stepped out from the crowd. He had ruffled hair, and stubble lining his face, his clothes were tattered and he held a drink in his hand.

"I'll have a go."

Makeup artists and wardrobe attendants put the finishing touches on Princess Kallisto, fussing with her mauve and periwinkle gown until it was wrinkle-free and provided appropriate coverage.

hTxOyFQl.jpg

Miss Janine, her handmaiden began to place a crystal tiara atop her head, but Thais waved her away.

“I’ve noticed that fashion is quite casual here. Perhaps the wealthiest of the galaxy do not feel the need to advertise it,” she said. “Let’s forgo the crown, shall we?”

Thais’s chestnut locks were in loose ringlets down her back, which was unusual for her, but she was told that many humans favored this hairstyle on Muunilinst, a rich planet chock full of banks, financiers and other such wealthy opportunists. The Princess was trying to fit in, not because she was gracious and kind and wanted to be feel as though she was one of the ordinary of Muunilinst. This was purely business for her.

Because in a lavish dwelling in the High Port Space Center of the city of Harnaidan, a royal ball was about to start. Her partners in this extravagant gala where the upper echelon of the galaxy would be attending were Muun Mines, a close-family run business, aligned with the Kallisto Mining Company for years.

Crix Meriet, her newest adviser (and procurer of slaves) had traveled along with her from Isis to attend the ball. Obviously, he was getting ready in another room, but she hoped he would also find some good business opportunities to expand his empire and hers by proxy.

He was surprised, almost refreshed at the nature of the library.

Of course, not the architecture, which he already disapproved of, but by the fact that it was busy. So used to the quiet hum of his former Cato Neimoidia archive and the relative ominous stilled nature of his new domain upon Byss it was almost strange to see a place of knowledge so full of life.

This knowledge was of a different breed, economics were held in the highest regard upon Muunilinst. Arcane scripts of sorcery and dark magic were not likely to be found here, but instead there was history, there was culture.

All knowledge was worthy.

Upon a world with such a minuscule population of non-native species, he stood out, even more-so given that he was clad in the robes associated with the Sith. Hal was not blind to the stares that he garnered, knowing full well that his very presence would have increased the need for security.

Which would explain why he was approached by one of the staff. It was similar to how shop security would deal with prospective shoplifters, offer help, try to put off the target from committing the crime.

“May I help you, sir?”

Kida was once again rather done up and lacking her usual dirt streaked clothes and tangled hair. Instead she walked alongside Animus, clutching tightly at his hand for support as ever, while dressed in the garb of Atrisian royalty, similar to that she had worn while the Atrisian Court was in attendance. Kida had very quickly adjusted to a more child-like lifestyle, she was quiet when necessary and would only end up dirty during playtime when she was free to run around the gardens of the Palace so long as she was bathed afterward. Quite the turn around for a feral child!

She was once again surrounded by strangers, however. That wasn't something she particularly enjoyed, but with Animus' help she managed to keep it together and look somewhat composed, if not for the silly way she walked. She still was not used to that! Walking around the Gala alongside who she now regarded wholly as her Papa, Kida was shocked by the sight of the man who took them both aside to talk. He looked so strange! She had never seen anything quite like it before, and so naturally the child stared. She stared a lot.

Mythous laughed at Galicous' approval of T'zanith, he knew the man to be as good as they come, part of the reason why Mythos counted him as one of the few friends he had in life. Kida looked marvelous and this was a whole new world for her, he intended to keep with the Atrisian Tradition as she was by all intents and purposes the Princess of Atrisia now. She had learned a bit more cohesion walking and upright which was a releif for Mythos because they needed to look good. He paced through the Proceeding with both his people at his side, sadly they could't bring Groom for obvious reasons but other than that, everything was going great. "Beautiful day eh Uncle?"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Indeed it is dear boy, indeed it is" The Ball about to start was getting Galicus in a much better mood, what a great day, what very great day. News of the man who sought to destroy the Sagious stocks came and furthermore he finally got to see his new Niece! Kida she was named, the Muun was not fond of Children but he did like the idea that Animus had brought her along so before he did he had brought some candy for her, sweets from the Capital and Chocolates and such. Suddenly he was approached by yet another old time associate.
"Master Sagious! So good to see you!"
oh... great... it was him, Imperious Walijs, a man who had tried to get the Sagious Stocks to invest in some hairbrained Scheme involving a volcanic Island.
"Imperious. What can i do for you good man?"

Naga made his way over to the princess, And bowed to her in respect before speaking. " Greetings princess. It is a pleasure to meet you, You look lovely today." Compliments are a quick way to get on there good side sometimes and well... wouldnt hurt to ask How ever she held the reigns on the mineing company he was interested so the charm was in use at this point.

As Nomkneer ordered his pilot slave to land the ship on the island or aborah. he felt a disturbance in the force, nothing was seen out of shape on this island, it seems like a normal island with nothing but twigs, rocks and trees, but something gave of a disturbance that made Nomkneer want to have a look. "No one is a better explorer nor hunter than I!" said, Nomkneer with much pride. As he landed Nomkneer quickly took his seven month old tuka'ta with him, Vehiva was her name, growing fearsome like her master day by day, Nomkneer dashed off into the island with nothing but his tuka'ta, his communications, travel food, and his knowledge. Nomkneer did not know what he was gonna face there, as the island called out to him with the disturbances of the force. Nomkneer saw tracks, foot tracks along the beach, "looks like we got company, but where's the ship?" Nomkneer thought to himself, his mind could only frustratingly think about where are they, who are they, and where did they park, Nomkneer assumed if he could go around the beach maybe he could find the ship. He went out back followed the tracks, as he did, his tuka'ta was always looking to Nomkneers surroundings watching his back and sides like a good tuka'ta she is. Nomkneer, saw the tracks dissapear in a part of the water, and he found it strange, he saw nothing there, but he was always looking and when he looked at the water, he never wouldve guessed if not for the current crashing against the ships landing gear, the water tipped off the ship, "it was a cloacked ship they used" said Nomkneer as he tried to find a way in, since he couldn't see anything he did what all smart Kaleesh would do, if there are any smart kaleesh like Nomkneer, was to let the enemy rush its way to the base for an emergency.

Nomkneer told Vehiva to hide, and she did, then he used his telekinesis to grab a stone the size of Vehivas leg, and threw it at the cloacked ship, it activated an alarm system, that called out the people who landed there, Nomkneer hid, under sand stone and leaves waiting for the right moment. Suddenly two mandalorians came out of the trees and into the beach and saw that no-one was around, they uncloacked the ship and checked if anybody was inside. Nomkneer thought to himself, as a hunter, "if there are two here, that means that theres atleast two more inside doing something important!". He waited for the mandalorians to go inside the ship, it wasnt a large one, but it was very well cloacked. Nomkneer dashed out once he saw the opportunity and tried to get them by surprise and entered the ship. Nomkneer quickly used his two lightsabers to do a silent assasination, but they wore beskar and it blocked off the attacks. Nomkneer could only seek a weakness among them, he thought, "these armors are not fully made of beskar", as he noticed them blocking with theyre forearms and never seemed to care for the legs arms or chest, but theyre head was another story, it was like as if it was too thin, "it seems beskar is much of a heavy alloy to have as a helmet for them or they need more money to buy one", Nomkneer thought. Nomkneer quickly after the strike grabbed one and tossed him out of the ship and the tuka'ta was already at the entrance waiting for the right time, the tuka'ta smashed the helmet easily of the mandalorian, "so it was phirk alloy" Nomkneer thought, as Vehiva smashed the helmet and ripped the eyes and half his face with her sharp and strong jaws. Nomkneer deflected blasters and anything the other mandalorian had up his sleve. As he said "I hate mandalorians!" he knew theyre tricks were too inmense to just take them on that easily, plus they had beskar, and other alloy that is resistant to blasters and lightsabers, Nomkneer took out his trusty dagger, it was dull, but that was not the use Nomkneer wanted it for. The dagger was dulled by his old niman battle masters bones as he killed him. Nomkneer was gonna used that dagger to slice or pierce the helmet, whatever he could to get his face out to the open.

“Yes, you may,” he responded, voice stiff and starched as usual.

The Muun seemed presently surprised at the curt nature of the man. He had never experienced a Sith before but had heard of the tales of the more notorious members of the Order. Tales twisted over time to seem more grim, or perhaps less grim, than the reality.

Violent. Egocentric. Destructive. Not the type for the confines of a library, being far more likely to burn one down than appreciate the contents.

Based on stories perhaps, but there were truths in those tales.

“I am an archivist, wishing to expand my base of knowledge,” Hal said plainly, truth in his words accompanied by shades of deception, “may I conduct business with the head of this institution?”

Blunt. Straight to the point. Although the word business was intentionally slipped in to suggest a gain in the making.

“I see,” the Muun replied, a slight frown coming over elongated features, a short pause came as he considered the situation at hand, “allow me to check for you, sir.”

This was Token's kind of world. Rich. Metropolitan. On the Rim. Sure the Core was cool, but since being displaced and being a refugee, she was not longer interested in the Core. Turning Rim-ward, that was where it was. But the blonde was at Muun Capital. Her cousin's and her's company, Bright Star, was contracted out to help with the gala and the Princess (There's a princess now? Better get short stormtroopers) that was running it. She knew there could be some good business involved, but what she was really looking forward to was another forward-world instead of these backwater hellholes the Primeval lived on.

They needed culture.

And most, a shower. But Token? She was fine. She was really fine. And dressed to the nines as a result.

Some balls were held for pleasure, she was hoping this one was held for fancy dress, because the black dress and, low and behold, heels instead of her Chucks, made her look a bit taller. For now, she was going to watch, make sure her servers weren't slacking and maybe when the writer had the free time, come and help kick the Mandos from the world.

Leggo Primeval, lets have a ball.

Ocean, as far as the eye can see. Dark blue water was calm, only lightly effervescing as waves hit the sandy shore. The scent of brine and sulphur permeated the air, mixing into a distinct smell that was the sea. Some people loved it, others hated it, but Einar never tasted it before. He had never seen a body of water so large, having spent most of his days on Midvinter traversing the forests deep inland of the main continent. He had come across a few mountain lakes, but their size was nothing short of a mere pond. The sheer sight of seemingly endless offing woke in him an almost childlike curiosity.

Clad in the customary leather armor of Arbiter of Bastion, Shadowmane slipped past the Hutt only to stand with both feet in the water. He leaned down and pressed his hand against the wet sand. The sensation was peculiar, but pleasant, especially for someone who spent a good portion of their life in eternal winter. The beach was quite a discovery.
The Valkyri then scooped up a handful of water and brought it to his mouth for a taste. Finding drinking water in wilderness was the essence of survival, he knew. Yet this was no drinking water.

"Pwah..." he murmured to himself as he spat out the salt that curled his lips inwards, somewhat confused why water was salty. Shadowmane was nothing more than a well-dressed illiterate savage, the workings of geology and chemistry completely unknown to him. His first thoughts attributed this phenomenon to divine intervention, not some scientifically viable process. Perhaps Sargon was agitated by these people and made their lake salty so that they could not drink from it?

"What are we doing here, Master Zambrano?" he inquired, turning to face the Hutt but with feet still in the water - "I should be at Host Lord's side at the ball. This is my duty."

The Muun disappeared, going through the back to check if they could permit the Sith to come through to meet with the Head Librarian.

Not an impatient man, Hal was not bothered by such procedure, it would have been anarchy to let anybody go straight to the office of a respected keeper of knowledge. No matter how chaotic his life had become, he still held great appreciation towards structure and to what made sense.

In the mean time, the archivist decided to browse their library, approaching one of the public terminals. Crimson eyes perused the familiar blue glow of the console screen, inspecting the various categories that the Muun City Library held. It was certainly a vast font of knowledge, no less should have been expected from an intelligent and affluent race, it would have taken a lifetime to absorb all of the information at his fingertips.

It was wonderfully organised, categorised to perfection, something that appealed to Hal Terrano's very soul. He was, after all, a harsh stickler for details.

The history of the InterGalactic Banking Clan would be what held his interest during his waiting time.

Lucas didn't like most things. He didn't like the Sith. He hated the Sith. He also hated his sister, [member="Trin Gravois"]. He despised the woman, almost as much as the Sith that were so lovey-dovey with themselves. The Primeval though, they were different. It wasn't that Lucas was going to join them, no. But he was going to watch. Dressed fairly well, he didn't really know how to dress down, always formal, always stoic, he watched the gala unfold. He should probably start knowing who the powerplayers in the galaxy were, that way when it came time to killing them he would know who was more useful, who should be kept around and who should be eliminated. He ordered a drink. Tonic. Just tonic.

Lucas was the type of man who would straighten picture frames in houses that weren't his, that meant he liked to keep things clear and keep a clear head about things. Alcohol messed with that. But tonic? That gave him the air of being important, of being someone to watch. And he really was. People should notice him. People should fear him.

He was going to kill you all one day. Starting with the Sith, and once that issue was corrected, Lucas planned to run through the Jedi, the Mandos and finally the Primeval. Until everyone proclaimed one name above all others.

Gravios.
