  • Demonym: Rakata, Gree, Forerunners (archaic), Stranded (modern)
  • Region: Tingel Arm
  • System Name: Rakkone
  • System Features: Massive asteroid field, yellow G-class star ‘TA-A1-10’, ancient Forerunner minefield, 9 planetary bodies with moons.
  • Location: Hex south of Kaeshana
  • Major Imports: Foodstuffs, modern technology (arms and ammunition), starship technology
  • Major Exports: Combat droids, durasteel, knowledge, ancient data
  • Unexploited Resources: Kyber crystals, platinum, Gallium
GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION
  • Gravity: Standard
  • Climate: Temperate. Warm and humid equatorial regions, cold and arid polar regions
  • Primary Terrain: Foothills, tundra, oceans, lakes, rainforests
  • Atmosphere: Type I
LOCATION INFORMATION
  • Capital City: Formerly Rockledge, currently none
  • Planetary Features: The planet is considered abandoned by all but the most stringent definitions. A world that had experienced several technological and Force-related upheavels, the planet’s surface is a current and ever-present terraforming experiment gone awry. While ruins of the major ancient (Rakkata, Gree, other Forerunner species) cities exist, the planet’s main draw are the rumors of the ancient technology in the ruins of cities, including hidden research stations and mystical ruins.

Further research shows several larger watchtowers on the planet casting confusing and unintelligible transmissions on various frequencies as well as a Force signature pulsating from each.
Additionally, the planet is full of fauna-inspired droids, bent on keeping the peace of the world. Peace here defined as hunting down sentient beings.

  • Major Locations:
    • Rockledge - A large metropolis full of ghosts of the past. A city similar in scope to many from the Core worlds, with alien technology and hidden secrets. Advanced biotechnology lights the city, and besides the lack of any organics, the city appears to run like clockwork. Signal lights, and ancient beacons still resonate in this city
    • Polar North - A region that is mapped out by several teams of treasure hunters and fortune seekers. In the Polar North the landscape is mountainous and rugged, snowy and frigid. The main draw to this world is the aurora at night, as well as the rumor of advanced technology in hidden research facilities
    • Equatorial Jungle - The equatorial jungle is home to many stone and metal ruins from a bygone era. The perceptive Force user can find signatures of many battles and experiments in the Force in this region.
    • Oceanic Archipelago - The oceans of Rakkone are filled with monsters. Many are rumors but even more are true. The islands play host to Force ruins as well as research stations and shipwrecks.
  • Force Nexus (Optional): No

POPULATION
  • Native Species: Rakata settlers, various flora and fauna
  • Immigrated Species: Gree, Humans
  • Population: Sparse
  • Demographics: Possibly a dozen or so settlements of marooned spacers and adventurers ranging from humans to twi’lek to
  • Primary Languages: Basic
  • Culture: Tribal law - The world’s history has been lost to the annals of time and the Gulag Plague. Adventurers and braves of the various tribes venture into the wilds to bring home treasures, tokens, and truths from the various research stations and Force ruins.
GOVERNMENT & ECONOMY
  • Government: Tribal Law
  • Affiliation: Under watch of Levantine Sanctum
  • Wealth: Low - Lawless unsettled world on the rim without any major trade routes
  • Stability: Low
  • Freedom & Oppression: The world is fairly free for those who remain. The beings on the world trade favors and life in an effort to survive. Small farms are created and the tribal chiefs keep the peace between all on the planet, though there is some distrust between them.
MILITARY & TECHNOLOGY
  • Military: The planet has lost most of its military during the Gulag plague and the ships that were on the world when the last of the Rakata and Gree fled have been scrapped and salvage, converted to monsters in the low orbit. The planet does have a planetary shield and several open apertures. There is a Rakata minefield that will attempt to repel larger ships from entering the local area, but has allowed smaller ships to enter the planet, however, the minefield makes short work of most ships attempting to leave the planet
  • Technology: The planet has very advanced technology. While Rakkone has been used recently as a planet to store achievements of both the Rakata and Gree, the planet has had very advanced technology developed on it, including the molecular forge created to produce the defense system of the world, fauna-inspired droids. The tribes of survivors have technology ranging from cobbled together airspeeders and weapons to the more archaic Bronze Age inspired weapons built from the galaxy’s modern technology
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Rakkone is a world on the Rim of the Galaxy, in the Tingel Arm. Founded by the Rakata, the world was a typical temperate world with varied environments. A world put off to the tail end of the galaxy, Rakkone was the perfect research planet for a number of scientific and Force based pursuits, the latter of which were rarely logged. However the former, there is much discovered on that. Rakkone was used as a weapons and terraforming technology research campus.

Advanced weapons and defenses for the weapons are found in research facilities the planet over. Most lay dormant aside from Project Crucible.

Project Crucible is a blend of advanced droid technology and terraforming tech that has gone rogue. Centered around dozens of Watchtowers the world over, a planetary Virtual Intelligence has been working on smoothing the flaws out of the planet, namely sentient life.

Working with technology inspired by the star forge Crucible has projected evolution of a number of species on Rakkone and created the products as droids. Many have benign uses such as observation or plant tending but even more have become predators to sentient life, deemed the problem on the world. Some droids specialize in shifting temperatures, creating boiling rain storms or freezing thunder snowstorms while others work as Shepherds for flora, fauna and resources.

The planet has become a favored location of many treasure seekers for the secrets it holds, and the challenge has become a test of skill for other adventurers. The planetary defense system has other goals and prevents escape from all but the most skilled pilot, and the survivors and marooned spacers has begun living a tribal life. The technology is high tech with low skill, energy bows, and tripcasters, sling shots capable of launching tech bombs and everyone holding onto the scanning and research equipment looking for the solution to the world.

Many come to Rakkone. Few thrive here.

A couple things. This is a great submission overall and we’re just about there.

Id like to see you link anything appropriate in the exports and imports area… this would include unexploited resources.

once you’re done tag me and I’ll see about moving it along.
