Rakata Balls (Lords of the Fringe Dominion of Rakata Beta)

The Rakata Ruling Council

The two council members looked at one another for a moment at the presence of the newest member of their council. They were not pleased and that much was obvious, but they would accept the necessity of it. The priest welcome her first, his tone rather condescending in nature. “Welcome to the ruling council of Rakata Beta, capital of the Infinite Empire. I am He who Watches of the priest caste, and this is Eater of Brothers of the warrior caste.”

Eater of Brothers gave Shinju the toothy smile that one would give to a lovely rare cooked steak. “Greetings, I am not as pleased to see you here on our world. Your kind is weak and have dishonored us by not eating of the flesh offered.” Snapping his fingers he summoned up a fattened slave who came mutely, and demurely looking down. “Tell us, what would you create out of the Infinite Empire when it's strength was added to your people's?”

Without removing his eyes from Shinju the warrior reached out and pulled the slave's arm up to his arm and bit into his living flesh. The slave shuddered in obvious pain as tears welled into his eyes. He dared not even scream though, but just a simple whimper escaped his lips. He rose his eyes looking with a silent plea at the woman for mercy he'd never receive from a Rakata.

The Rakata Shipyards in orbit

The warrior's council stood up and looked down in complete interest on the displayed images below. There was no doubt as to their fascination they spoke softly amongst themselves. An rather spirited disagreement seemed to be brewing as the voices nearly turned into a growl. Finally the culmination came as one thick Rakata pulled out his double bladed weapon and struck another down.

“I lead this council! He will prove his toys have teeth!” His voice shook in rage and powerful self assurance. The other Rakata merely nodded not even bothering to look down at their fallen comrade at first. Then after the first reached down and ripped a piece of flesh off the others descended on him like a flock of vultures.

After the furious feast there was nothing left of the Rakata but chewed bones, but the living seemed to revel in the death and violence. They unsatisfied rage present in their eyes and their fingers curling into fists wishing for more violence. “You will show us the strength of this ship the Astral Horizon.” Pulling up the map on the console near Dranok an small area of the map lit up. “That is a slave city, you, you destroy it. Prove your ships are mighty.”

The Rakata temple

The high council sat above Spencer on their throne like chairs. The building was designed with graceful curves and high vaunted ceilings disappeared into a light that mimicked an artificial sun. Each looked around at each other their ability to sense the force completely dead within them. Even the breeze the young woman had sent out seemed to startle them. Their legends were old but the actual powers of a master of the dark arts was akin to a god to them.

“Show us, child, show us the power we crave to touch again.” Their voice was nearly a begging tone and all their vaunted pride forgotten. This was more important then pride, and perhaps more important then life. This was the life of the Empire.

(OOC: Hopefully you don't mind @[member="Dranok Lussk"])

Isis watched as Dranok left to go see to the military end of things and then wandered away, for now ashin was protected with Zaiden and others around her so she was not in need of Isis services, as she wandered off Isis followed closely behind Dranok...she was a ground pounder and an enforcer and as they entered the area she walked up close to @[member="Dranok Lussk"] and watched and listened to his words, after some time she spoke to him under her breath Hey there admiral, hoping you don't mind? she commented while asking.

Tarika Sadow*

Shadow Fleet Commander | Rule Breaker
(OOC: Hope you guys to mind an alt?)

Tarika walked in with her naval uniform on and arrived at the party late, looking at @[member="Ashin Varanin"] who was posing ad admiral Karrde she walked up swaying her hips and smirked at the older admiral and then watced as all the rakata in the room stared at her, walking up she greeting the admiral with a friendly smirk and a calm mind G'day admiral, where do you need me? she asked, her own ships were in orbit and she remained unphased by the rakata, she also was not impressed at all.

Jak Sandrow

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
Elijah was unfashionably late, and he did not pride himself on it. However, he was here, now, and he was respectfully silent, a difference from his usual chatty self. He hadn't been to the dinner, and he was thankful he hadn't. After hearing from @[member="Isis Fontana"] how it went, he was glad he was late.

Now, he sat in the shadows behind @[member="Dranok Lussk"] and Isis, cleaning a scomp-link, almost stewing in his bodysuit.

Bug-heads.... he thought.

But still. Even though his wife's ex-flame was going to get married to them, he was sorry for Dranok. He really was. Not that he'd tell anyone.

So he stayed mute unless talked to.

Valik

Professor of Alchemy
"When you have completed your work I will be waiting." Valik said, as he left @[member="Dranok Lussk"] to his business with the Council of Warriors. Let the admiral play with his toys, his armies and ships. They were certainly conventional weapons, though Valik found them crude and inefficient personally. He was fond of more exotic and subtle methods of destruction. One he'd create right now actually, experimenting with the Rancor gifted to him by Shira Karrde.

As he ordered the helpful Rakata beast herders to move the Rancor to more private environment so he could begin his experiments he took out his datapad and access public terminals, looking for any information on weddings. It seemed their were very important positions, chosen by the groom and bride to serve certain purposes in the wedding. The rest were merely seen as 'guests' far as he could tell, and they typically brought gifts, something the bride and groom would use. Fairly simple, Valik would just give them some sort of fancy machine or sith alchemized trinket.

There was usually alcohol, dancing, music, and other such frivolous things to study. Furthermore it seemed typical for invited guests to bring what was a called a 'date'. After discovering that the article he leafed through was not referring to dried fruits he thought of who he could bring. Ashin was well, not an option, Anaya wasn't quite the girl he would bring to this sort of shindig. What other females did Valik know? Wait . . . there was that one with a rageful outlook. . So Valik rigged his datapad to send a message, and got one out there.

@[member=Samanthe Quiwl[/I]]

Hello there Sam, this is Valik. I've been invited to a wedding on Rakata Beta, a rather stuffy affair in truth and I'd like to, shall we say, liven it up a little. You'll come in whatever clothing you feel best fits in such an environment, I'll trust your judgement on that, and with a kilo of glitter, which I'll assume you're competent enough to obtain and sneak in. Then the two of us will play quite the games, ones I'm sure you'll find entertaining.

As Isis stood here she looked at them all from her robes and decided to wait for @[member="Dranok Lussk"] to answer her inquiry, as she did she repositioned herself and took on more of a feminine stance and then placed her hand on his shoulder and watched what he was doing, she Liked @[member="Dranok Lussk"] and since her fiance is no longer around she needed someone to hang out with.

The Lord Admiral kept his poised stance as the Rakatan who shouted inferior remarks was quickly taken down by a handful of his counterparts, easily dropped to the floor and picked to the bone. Dranok's lips curled up in disgust as he bore witness to the savagery. That poor Rakatan could've made himself a useful soldier. The man merely released another signature sigh and stepped forward to display a live feed of the Astral Horizon and the city. 4 kilometers of pure mechanical muscles, its entire body encompassed with thick plating with a variety of heavy weaponry bristling across its organic-seeming hull. Oh how Dranok adored that vessel, it was his favorite toy in the entire galaxy. He took the sensible approach and has to ask himself what ship captain didn't like to show off his ship?

He raised his wrist-com to his mouth, "Horizon, this is Lussk. Arm all batteries and train them on coordinates Besh-Forty-Osk-Three-Niner."
"Yes, sir." A few moments passed with nothing but an eerie silence. "We're ready, sir."
"Mark."

For a fraction of a second, nothing happened. Then a thunderous eruption shook the Temple grounds, the massive Battle cruiser firing everything it had up in low orbit. The live feed flashed, hundreds of weapons bristling across the vessel's hull as thousands of balls of plasma, flak, and torpedos descended upon the helpless city. A few seconds passed, the first wave of projectiles impacting into the city. The first shots were the heavier ones of the Heavy Quad Turbolasers, each shot knocking out entire city blocks. The rest was of similar effect, decimating entire regions of the city until it blazed with molten slag.

Zaiden departed Ashins side and stepped towards the Rakatta Elder, bowing low Zaiden showed the utmost respect he could, "If I may, your honorable grace, I can show some unique forms of Darkside techniques. Using technology," Zaiden drew forth his Darkestnite Longsaber, "to house a powerful Force Crystal, I can control the darkside manifestations that come from within. As well, I have within my arsenal of techniques, a less darkside but still ever the more rare ability, to completely bend light around my target and make it invisible." As he ended his comments, he looked to Spencer hoping he hadn't jumped the gun by offering to show his abilities.

Shinju looked at the man and smiled sweetly as her body shuddered... Oh it was a tea party and suddenly she was there looking at the slave. Staring into his face before running a hand along the length of his body Her lips curled up as her eyes flicked to the warrior and then a small roar came from deep in her throat before she dug into his chest and came away with a chunk in between her teeth. She wasn't like the sniveling ones on the ship. There was a reason she got sent here and it was because unlike the others... She would partake of the flesh. She would tear the entire room apart if need be.

Isis heard the sound of weapons fire as the ship unloading the deadly arsenal on the unknowing city and adjusted herself one last time as she instantly began to see why he was a lord admiral and then took her arm off his shoulder and nodded to the ratatak while they all cheered and then with her mind she spoke to the lord admiral Dranok love, don't do that again she hissed at him in a warning tone of dissent and then placed her hands on the table... she then ran her hands across it and looked at the plans of it and spoke with deception that only someone trained in would be able to tell it's a deception.

I take it this is the city you mean? I can see you had just blown up a weapons plant, how are you a militant again? she hissed and then smirked inside of her own mask, they couldn't see it... I mean who would knowing blow up a weapons depot? her tone was challenging.

Cursed by Beauty - 300 OST

“Zaiden, they won’t need to see your shadows. Trust me I think what I’m about to show them will be enough.”

Slowly she started to pull off her robe and handed them to Zaiden. Her fingers moved through her braid as she unwove it. Fingers moved down her tunic as she removed it as well leaving her in a tight undershirt and the loose fitting Echani Combat pants. She removed her boots then stood barefoot, with fabric woven around her heel and ankle supporting her. Giving Zaiden a smile she patted his shoulder and spoke quietly to him, her voice only loud enough for him to hear. Standing on her toes she brushed her cheek against his and spoke.

What you see believe all of it, protect me, do not let them draw close – I’m trusting you Zaiden

As she moved away from him, her hand reached up pulling the mask from her face. For the first time, Spencer stood as herself in front of another member of the Fringe besides Ashin. Looking over her shoulder she smirked towards Zaiden and then turned her attention towards the council members. The mask in her hand hovered by the use of the force and was tossed towards Zaiden’s feet.

“You wish to touch the Force? You desire to have it, to harness it and bend it to your will? I will show you the Force; you shall feel it through me. I will show you the past and your future; I can walk through time – that will be my gift to you.”

Reaching into her pocket she felt the smooth chip from the star forge, it would be her anchor for what she was about to do. Showing someone the past and the future was something she hadn’t done before, she learned the technique from a student of another, and even then if she had learned the technique from the creators themselves she would be in for a struggle. To do this she needed to feed of the Raktaka, she had to have them see what they wanted to see. It was in her best interest along with the Fringe to show them how they would benefit to side with the Fringe. The young woman moved from the comfort of Zaiden and stood in the middle of the curved seats of the Council. Bowing once more she opened her presence and with her specialty of knowing the minds of others she locked each of them to her own, including Zaiden’s. The woman drawing them into her she took in a deep breath and fell into a deep meditation state. Having done this several times before, the meditation was an easy feat for her to accomplish. Her vision of the force taking over as strands connected all of them and finally weaving around her. No one saw the strands; they only saw the girl step forward and her arms raising plucking at the invisible strings. The way she moved drawing upon the force looked like a dance as she began to weave time and pull them into the past.

In a blink of an eye, the council along with Zaiden would be standing on Rakata Prime, or Lehon. A figure stood near the primitive Rakata offering lessons about the Force. The Kwa, the creators of the infinite gate traveled from Dathomir taught the primitive Rakata everything they knew and soon helped develop the species to what they were today. The desire to expand and to conquer combined with the technology and the knowledge the Kwa provided the Rakata started to expand and create their Infinite Empire. The images blurred as the eyes of the blood thirsty first Rakata bore into them.

They stood on a transformed Lehon; millions of slaves pushed and pulled technology. The now intelligent Rakata drove the slaves towards their goals, each slave of a different species from the Unknown Region. They built the star forge, the pride and joy of the Rakatan technology, with these star forges they were able to expand outward even farther drawing more and more into their Empire. They were at the height of their expansion and conquered the Unknown Region – any threat that occurred they slaughtered mercilessly. Nothing stood in their way and no one dared to try. One species stood, the Ancient Sith, here the Rakata showed their intelligence by acting as Allies to the Sith. They helped develop the Sith holocron, but the King of Korriban, Adas was wiser than the Rakata. Soon he led a revolt against the invaders. They were able to push the Rakata back, but Korriban was devastated and the Sith were forced from their home. In the end, the Rakata eventually gained Korriban.

Time shifted again, Spencer continued pull at the strands of time as she continued to tell the story of the Rakata. A green planet, lush with several humanoids and other species came into view. A quick suction drew the group towards the surface and into one of the pyramid like temples. People moved about showing and using the weapons similar to lightsabers as they trained against each other. These people were the Je’daii and the planet was known as Tython. Twin moons circled the people as they praised the balance they held with the planet, soon a man a force hound of the Infinite Empire soon descended upon the planet. Nothing was left after their encounter, but a lone force hound named Xesh.

The moment was brief and Spencer pulled the ties once more showing the decent of the Infinite Empire. The Star Forge had corrupting influences upon the Rakatan; it caused Civil wars to break out literally breaking the Empire from within. Allies turned upon each other and slaughtered its own people, what was worst was that a plague washed through the species. The plague severed the connection to the Force for the species and without it more chaos broke out. Without sensitivity to the Force, the Rakatan couldn’t use their technology and all they were left with was their home world of Lehon.

The tale was grim for the Rakatan, though Spencer knew that the force worked its way mysteriously. The species had nearly taken over the Galaxy and abused the powers that were granted to them. They were being punished by the Force as it balanced its self out. Would allowing them to touch the Force again create a rise of the Infinite Empire again? Ignoring her own feelings, she manipulated the visions to show a prosperous future for the Rakatan if they joined the fringe. Her dance continued as she moved losing herself deeper into the meditation. Her mind vulnerable as well as her body, she prayed that Zaiden was prepared to fight if he needed too.

The future unfolded for the Rakatan. They were able to touch the Force once more and each passing time they grew stronger with it. Their technology returned to them and they were capable of using it, but not to its full potential, not just yet. They were allowed to prosper and the castes evened out, though the Priest caste was higher than the warrior caste, but everyone leaved in a peaceful state. They had returned to Lehon and there they began to rebuild their Empire alongside the Fringe. At the head of the developing species was their warrior princess alongside Dranok. The choices that they were to make today showed definite change in their way of life. The Star Forge was once more available to them and they were allowed to create more and from there more technology grew.

The images started to fade and the council along with Zaiden returned to the reality. Spencer still stood in the middle of them as she finished the dance of the oracle. Beads of sweat collected on her brow and she soon released the minds of the Rakata and Zaiden. She fought the urge to collapse onto her knees and pass out. The Echani Queen stood upright as she stared into the faces of the Rakata; once more she bowed her head and then stood back up again.

“The art of Flow Walking, the ability to see the past and the possible future. I am capable of bending minds and showing them what I can see, I can also bend fate to my will.”

Taking a deep breath, she waited for their answer and their reaction to everything they had just seen.

Ruling Council

With a bemused expression He Who Watches simply reached over a pulled a chunk of flesh out of his dying enemy's now open chest. The warrior looked outwards his eyes still looked in shock and rage at Shinju even as the light dimmed from his eyes. Even as his last breaths slipped away the priest just nibbled, his face full of malicious glee. “You will do well here, Eater of Flesh. You will do well.”

With a simple chuckle the Rakata pulled himself off his chair and walked away. There was no decisions ever made in the council that mattered without the presence of both castes. It didn't matter though, the Fringe councilor had been more then adequate.

The Shipyards

The Rakata watched with utter fascination as an entire city was swallowed in the flames of war. The silent was absolute as each slowly looked from one to another. There was an unspoken decision made as the Rakata who just moments ago lead the group looked down, his fact completely contorted in absolute rage.

With a silent hatred he stepped back from the rails his eyes stayed with Dranok though, his resentment so powerful it was palpable. The rest of the council ignored him completely though as they watched the burning pit of slag on the screen. “You are strong enough to lead, He Who Burns His Enemy to Ash. We will follow you.”

The Temple

The Rakata were breathless as they watched the young woman before them. Their hate swallowed up in awe for a just a single breath of time. It was a dream beyond them and what they desired most, and this gave them the craving for more. The three leading members of the council stood up as one and nearly tumbled over each other down the stairs. “You saw the soul and history of the Infinite Empire? Come with us, Speaker of the Infinite Empire, come with us.”

With a surprisingly quick pace they nearly ran behind the council chamber to an ancient looking room. Its walls were covered in an undecipherable language, but the entire room was dominated by a doorway that positively pulsed with energy from the force. “We cannot enter here, read the souls of this room. Bring the knowledge back and we will give you anything!”

Zaiden's jaw dropped as he found himself somewhere else, no someWHEN else...he could see comparisons between the Rakattan of old, and new. So this was the once powerful Rakattan empire? Zaiden thought. He could see why they had grown, they were brilliant. Killing anything that got in their way, doing everything to slowly branch further and further into the galaxies.

Despite how amazing the ability @[member="Spencer Jacobs"] showed him and the others, he had to place his hand on his saber hilt, to reassure himself. If anyone attempted to even touch her, they would face everything Zaiden had. Spencer was Ashins, and Zaiden still considered them his closest allies and friends. But soon enough she was done, and seeming close to blacking out. Offering an arm to lean on, Zaiden opened the connection Spencer had previously established and began to fill her within his own power. Like a river it ebbed and flowed, but he hoped the energy filling the connection could help.

"You got to teach me that.." Zaiden murmured, for he would be able to go back...and see her...

When the Rakattans mentioned another feat, Zaiden brought his eyes to the blonde again, "Take my power. I'll be the battery here. You've got more knowledge."

Jared sometimes wondered if he did a smart thing when he decided to become Spencer's apprentice. It seemed like since that time he had been thrown from one fraked-up situation into another. And now he was looking at how Shinju was eating the flesh of some Rataka slave.

Without showing any emotions on the events that were transpiring before him, Jared waited until Shinju was done with her show and needed his assistence.

"And here I was hoping Greyson would literally blow smoke up theirs."

The derisive voice bit through the air like frost as the masked stranger came to stand to the side and distinctly apart from both groups. He spread his arms in a gesture of defeat and shrugged.

"Some dreams never come true."

Shinju looked up and at the warrior who was dying as she made a face and heard her new name... An interesting name to say the least but oh how much fun she was having with it. Now as her hand grabbed his face and pulled him closer her mouth went over his eyes sinking in and coming away with a hiss. The other was leaving but this.. this right here brough her attention around. They would have to meet again with the right people but so far it was all about one thing. Showing why they belonged and could rule these people. Shinju looked down and went back to her meal. "Looks like tonight I dine on Rakatan soup."

Apparently nobody need me anymore. Eh it didnt matter with me, because I could really care less. my part was done and I didnt feel like doing anything else. back on the ship I pulled out my third cigarette for the day and lit it up. Oh as I going to have to cut back. As I looked up I could see a man bowing down over what looked to be a body suit. I had gotten out of my suit and had gotten into my Sentinel Robes. However I kept the crimson hood and mask off as some people like to look a persons face when they are spoken to.

I walked over and took a nice puff of smoke from the Kolto cigarette. Leaning down I looked at the material. "It looks nice man, what are you going to use this for?"

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
He looked up.

Morna.... I know you... Not telepathy, just thinking to himself.

He hadn't told Morna that he was Jak. For all intents and purposes, they had never met. "Well, I do use it for hacking. This here," -the scomp-link- "is used to hook up to computers without an astromech."

Standing up, he began to put it on - why, he didn't know. Just a gut feeling.

"What's that for?" he asked through the mask comm.

Zaiden nodded his head to @[member="Mikhail Shorn"], "Long time." With that he returned his attentions to the weakened Spencer and the Rakatans before him. There were a lot more of them then him, and thus he planned an intricate pattern of death across the room, if anything went south. He was sure he would slay near 60% before being wounded to severely to keep at 100% attack. At that point though, the others would assist as well. By the time any reinforcements arrived, they would have the men held hostage or dead.

I smiled at the man who was making the suit as he put it on. It looked rather cool and high-tech looking. However, not my taste of style. He seemed alittle fishy as his face lit up for a second when he saw me. and then went dull as he spoke about his tech. Ether way, I overlooked it. The man asked me what something was for and I pointed at my armor and lifted my hand to show my ringed set up on my right hand.

"Um what are you wanting to know about? I have alot of stuff." I also glanced down at my lightsaber if he was asking that? However, I kind of doubted that one.
