Raid on Echoy'la [Mando/GR vs Prime 10v10]

The altitude continued to drop steadily. Breathing slowly and evenly. Anija began to tuck her body, pulling her feet towards her chest slightly. She had no idea how fast she was falling. But judging by the speed with which the numbers dropped away, it was pretty fething fast. She frowned slightly at her HUD and took a deep breath. When the altitude counter reached the proper height, it flashed green around the edges. Instantly, Anija tucked her feet and turned, activating the jump pack which had been installed in her new armor.

The jolt of the jump pack activated shoved her upwards for a moment, until she adjusted the angle of the thrust. And just in time too. She felt her body slam into the ground sideways with a bit more force than she'd anticipated. No matter. Ember's training was good for something at least. She took a deep breath and did her best to dissipate the discomfort as she rolled to her feet. In all honesty, she didn't really know where the rest of the Mandos had ended up. All she needed to know was that she had a way off this rock when all was said and done.

A moment to look around and get her bearings was all it took before Anija was moving again. It had been years since she'd last set foot here, but she still knew her way around. Moving quickly, she flicked the safety off one of her rippers as she moved towards the mine's entrance. And what she saw there made her draw up short in surprise. A woman..... eating chocolate... in the middle of what was about to become a warzone.

Darth Azura slowed her pace down as she got closer to the Force presence in the mines. The dust was thick in the air, and she had to concentrate in order not to sneeze and give her position away. Azurea didn't know how to conceal her own aura, so it was likely that the enemy could sense her approaching.

But Force Rage and hate were Azurea's favorite tools, and she ran forward, enhancing her speed by tapping into an unbridled enmity for anything she could think of - primarily why she was down in this blasted, mold-caked mine in the first place, hunting her prey like a starved panther.

She came around the corner and finally saw him. He would see her.

Darth Azurea's voice rang out loud and clear as she incanted the words to the Sutta Chwituskak or Bolt of Hatred. She funnelled all of the rage and hostility into her hands to create a dark magical spear and hurled it directly at [member="Davin Skirata"]. If it hit, it would slice directly through armor and flesh, like the sharpest, strongest bevii'ragir.

A tingle ran up Davin's spine. The Force was warning him of something, but what he couldn't be sure. Cursing in Mando'a he leaped and tackled the Primeval Mandalorian to the ground. He shouted in protest but silenced himself as a dark bolt of something flew over their heads. The bolt struck one of the mine's walls, sending debris floating into the air. Captive miners fled the tunnel past the Mandalorians fearing for their lives.

<What was that?!> Shouted the Primeval Mandalorian, obviously confused that a Dark Sider would attack him for no reason. He still had no clue of Davin's true intent. <We're on your side!>

Davin stayed silent but readied himself for another bolt, falling into a focused combat state. A lithe, young figure made itself slightly visable even in the dust and dark of the cave, thanks to his HUD. The Force was a handicap, and if his brother could take on a Bionic Sith Lord at his age, he could take this thin Acolyte of the Dark.

Looking up from her post near the mine entrance Spencer spotted the person that had landed. Titling her head to the side she picked up subtle notions that the being in front of her was a woman. She popped a few more chocolates into her mouth and decided now was the time to begin to get serious. There hasn’t been a Mandalorian on the planet in some time especially one geared to the teeth. Today seemed to be the day that her dreams and the Force were going to play nicely. Well as nice as a geared and probably angry Mandalorian would want to play. Dusting off her fingers she slowly shrugged off the Jedi robe and let it fall to the ground, how cinematic.

Stepping forward she felt her side and made contact with the lightsaber, but didn’t draw it just yet. Knowing that it was there was just enough of a security check for her. Mentally making a note that not all of the Mandalorian’s weapons were energy or blaster and that she should be prepared for something to be ballistic, of course if she had it her way every weapon would be energy based. Made things simpler in her opinion. Now that the initial check was complete Spencer wandered slightly forward cutting some of the distance down between them. Her walk casual and unassuming of a fight – but her mind quickly went to work. Very slowly the pressure around the Mandalorian would begin to feel heavy. Spencer didn’t know if the woman had a mental defense, but feeling out like this helped give her an idea without having to open up her own mind to the enemy. Stopping a rough ten feet away Spencer placed her hands on her hips and smiled.

“So, what’s a cute Mando like you doing in a place like this?” The casual stance changed as her feet shifted. One foot behind the other in a simple Shii-cho stance. No weapon drawn, but her hands slowly raised to shoulder level, palms open with her fingers loose and thumbs carefully tucked in. The woman was skilled in hand to hand unarmed combat, but she knew fighting a Mandalorian – it might not be a quick unarmed fight. The heritage of the Echani Queen viewed the Mandalorian as a true rival, both their cultures raised on combat. A grin formed just under the mask as she spoke, “tengaanar ni te kot be mando”

At least this time, the bolt of hatred would have hit its intended target had her opponent not tackled his fellow Mandalorian, diving to the ground for safety. Her first few attempts at that spell did not go so well in the Temple of Pain where she learned it. The bolt hit the wall, a loud impact warning all in the vicinity that an attack was underway.

There would not be another bolt as the first one required such concentration, Darth Azurea would need to recharge her energy before she could conjur another. The Sith Knight now ignited her blade, the crimson lightsaber casting her pale face in an eerie, alizarin light.

"If you are a friend to the Primeval, I suggest you evacuate the mine. There is a lightsider beside you," she said, her eyes flashing to the Force user.

"And I will enjoy destroying him." She took two steps forward but still did not rush to attack. "Unless you would also like to be cleaved in two." She eyed her target. His armor looked strong and was most likely made of Beskar.

"And you," she said, addressing him. "How about we both remove the armor that traps us and fight with our blades and the Force like we've been trained to do?" Under her armor, she wore a simple, black body glove - formfitting but not revealing - and assumed he had something similar under his.

Did he fear her enough to say no? His response would dictate how she would attack him next.

The Primeval Mandalorian stood up quickly and raised his weapon at Davin at the realization that he wasn't one of them, but he had seen too many threats carried through to stay at the risk of his own life. He lowered his blaster and cursed under his breath, dashing away to join the fight above.

Davin's eyes locked on the figure before him. He didn't answer, he didn't even acknowledge that she was speaking, instead he thrust his hand out calling on the Force and released a Force Push to disorient and brought his blaster up to ready. This Sith wasn't getting any sort of Jedi-like mercy from him. What did she call him? A Lightsider? That couldn't be further from the truth. He didn't wait for her to react to the Force Push and pulled the trigger, releasing a volley of red blaster bolts in her direction.

Geared... was a bit of an understatement when it came to Anija's new Voxyn Mk 2 armor. She was still sorting out how to work all the gadgets, though a great many of them were technology she was familiar with, as it was made and sold by Mandal Hypernautics. her ripper remained steady as she watched the other woman straighten and dust off her fingers. As the woman's cloak fell to the ground, Anija allowed herself a slight smirk for a moment. How.... utterly...flashy. It reminded her very much of scenes she'd seen in various holofilms which depicted the history of the Republic and the Jedi Order.

As the two women squared off, Anija began to feel the other woman pressing against her mind. Not that she would find all the much to latch on to. In the months following the events of her encounter with Draco, she'd focused heavily on mental defenses, both those taught to her by Sio, and the dissembling Arrbi had taught her. it was the dissembling which she'd been actively focusing on since their little stealth fleet had dropped out of hyperspace. It wasn't a Force technique, but it had proved useful against Force Users in the past. And so, Anija found herself focusing on it more closely as she squared off. She'd had sufficient practice with it now that it was close to second nature, She always kept her thoughts fluid and moving.

Quickly, Anija assessed her opponent. Clearly a woman, her stance was at once relaxed, and yet ready. Anija could see it in the set of the woman's shoulders and how she'd placed her feet. Her eyes narrowing, Anija watched as the woman closed the distance. She could tel by how the woman moved that she'd been raised as a fighter. What kind, Anija didn't know. But for the moment, the woman seemed utterly unconcerned about the fact there was a fully armed and armored Mandalorian pointing the business end of a ripper pistol at her.

As the woman moved, so did Anija. While she didn't posess a saber of her own in the Jedi sense, she did carry a Beskad. To be honest, she wasn't all too sure about how her weapon would stand up to the jetti'kad in combat. So, she kept her grip on her current weapon and kept it raised in the woman's direction. Behind her visor, Anija's eyebrows rose at the question. It wasn't entirely unexpected, but the delivery was a bit... odd. Frowning, Anija focused tighter on her dissembling. "What am I doing here? I came to liberate my vode from the clutches of the Primeval..." she stated flatly, lifting her chin in the other woman's direction. Even having said that, Anija knew that the goal wasn't going to be attained. Not this early on in the Mandalorian offensive against Primeval.

Her eyes narrowed slightly at the woman's next words, and she too shifted into a ready stance, her ripper up and ready. And yet, the woman seemed utterly unconcerned about the weapon which remained leveled at her. She considered the woman's last words and felt a grin spread across her face, probably matching the other woman's. It sounded exactly like the invitation it was. A deep breath, And Anija spread her feet as she readied herself. Between Ember's exhaustive training, and Muad's... she felt she was ready. No... she knew she was.

The Mandalorian woman wasn’t going to just stop doing what she was doing, she was determined and had a weapon pointed at Spencer. Who in all seriousness, didn’t seem a bit phased by it. It was just another day another weapon in her face, it was something she had grown used to over the years. A part of her hoped that the gun pointed towards her was an energy weapon, then she really did have nothing to fear, but if the weapon was a ballistic weapon well, she might possibly leave this battlefield with a few scars here and there. Doing her best to see the weapon for what it was worth, acting as if she knew weaponry and how to tell the difference between ballistic and energy - of course though she had no clue. Not even her force sense would be able to help her out here.

So instead of cowering in fear or being defensive, Spencer continued to be nonchalant. “The Primeval? Oh yeah that’s where I’ve been teaching. Its funny after wandering so much you lose track of where you lay your head.” Spencer smiled from underneath the mask, she could easily remove it and probably get out of this situation. Her loyalties were as wide as a shallow puddle, but even then she told no secrets. An index finger rested against the bottom of the mask and above her cheek. “Might does mean different things, so then how are you going to show me your worth?” Spencer rolled back her shoulders and raised her hands, her palms open and her feet settling into the ground. Shii-Cho was the base lightsaber form, rank 1 something that was the foundation of the other forms. Tying it together with the Echani hand to hand combat she had come to master, she was stationed and anchored to the ground below her.

Despite the slightly low stance she had taken, her body moved fluidly without restraint. They were near the caves, so there were debris lying about, small rocks among other things that littered the floor. She knew the Mandalorian woman wouldn’t make the move first and there was only so much to say between new enemies. A flick of the wrist shifted the force into the ground kicking up the dust near the feet of the Mandalorian woman.

“Come on now, I hope that fancy armor of yours can filter dust from your little breathing hole.” [member="Anija Betna"]
