- Appearance: Deetoo has the appearance of a typical R0 astromech. Primarily white with black highlights, the droid body is essentially a modernized version of contemporary droid designs of the same line, but with the addition of a tapered dome. Much like previous R-series astromechs, Deetoo has various panels and ports across the main body and leg segments, and uses all-terrain treads mode of travel, utilizing a retractable third leg system.

R0-D2 (Deetoo) was purchased as a new factory model by Jand Talo's parents, to serve their son as a companion and helper, as he began his life as a Jedi. The astromech remains loyal to Jand, and by extension his friends (or as ordered), and began primarily as a general assistant. Over the course of Jand's development as a Jedi, through the numerous on-going battles and wars, Deetoo's programming - and utilities - allowed for mechanical repairs, maintenance, slicing/sensor and navigation support. But, it became apparent that Deetoo would never be as viable a direct combatant, and as a result, and through Jand's engineering capabilities, the astromech began to undergo upgrades:
The first was having overwatch co-piloting programming installed, which allowed Deetoo to enhance and support Jand's average degree of piloting. The next was a reflec-lined hidden compartment, able to conceal Jand's lightsaber (or objects) as needed. And finally, Deetoo was fitted with a universal sensor jammer, for instances where indirect interference might be needed.
As time has passed, the pair have become trusting, and Deetoo remains a steadfast and supportive companion, with Jand being equally protective of his astromech friend.
