Description:
As more and more tanks saw use on the field, fewer and fewer saw the ability to hunt enemy tanks with effectiveness and move away from retaliation fire. This, plus the lack of dedicated command tanks pushed Tenloss to creating a new vehicle to do just that. Instead of designing yet another vehicle, Tenloss simply upgraded the R-10 into a new variant.
The result was the R-10-8 Medium Tank, nicknamed "Easy" by test crews for the vehicle's ease of use, ease of maintenance, and the ease in which it targeted and destroyed its targets. The tank is based off the R-10 and holds all of the R-10's reliability and ruggedness along with extra armor plating. The R-10's main cannon was swapped for a 90mm railgun cannon (compatible with the DSFSAPR ammunition sold by Tenloss) to allow the tank to better engage and destroy any enemy it faced. The same stabilizers, manual override systems, and recoil suppression system were mounted and reinforced to cope with the added weapon weight. Along with the standard targeting system, a Tenloss BLR-C/S-M1 was mounted, allowing the R-10-8 to act as a command vehicle and/or continue operating despite basic enemy jamming attempts. A cupola mount for a third repeater blaster was added and a heavy repeater was bolted to the top of the turret, allowing accompanying troops to lend more firepower to the tank in a pinch or on the assault.
All in all, this is one tank any tread head needs to have.
