Question on Invasions, Dominions and regular thread

Hello all, I've been wondering for a little while about the immediacy of the results from Invasions and Dominions.

Firstly, is an invasion or dominion considered to have occurred (OCC wise) based on the day it began or the day it ended?

Are threads that occur on the planet that is being invaded or dominated, that aren't attached to the Factions involved, that begin during some point between the beginning and ending dates of the Dom, Inva, considered to have occurred afterwards?

Example: (Completely theoretical)

Lord of the Fringe begin invasion of Mustafar. June 19

Some people make a thread on Mustafar collecting supplies. June 29

Lord of the Fringe end invasion and now own the planet. July 4

One of the people in the thread says that Lord of the Fringe own the planet, whereas the thread was started before the planet was under the OOC control of Lord of the Fringe. Is this correct?

Thanks for you time. Just curious.

It really depends on the person writing. You can set your timelines and dates for whenever you want, the only rule is that you may not use an approved factory item in threads started before the submission was posted.

It would make sense that until the faction legitimately owns the planet, any thread that occurs prior to the ownership transfer would be under the previous regime in control of the planet. Outcomes of invasions cannot be predicted. A planet dominioned does not belong to a faction until the dominion is properly completed, within the confines of site rules with respect to dominions. It's the end date that's important, but only if you're looking to play your thread as current.

Only in terms of taking resources from a planet/changing the planet in any way would I think that it is required that the thread be current. You can otherwise futz around in the past to your heart's content. Fill your pants!

Thank you all!

Now does it change the fact if the thread that is being done to collect supplies continues after the completion of the invasion?

Generally speaking, it does not. It just means they can hop in and try to stop you. You don't need to ask them permission, nor do you need to invite them or let them know (although that is common courtesy in most cases.)
