  • Classification: Polearm / Execution Pike (Spear–Halberd Hybrid)
  • Size: Large (Approx. 2.2–2.5 meters in length)
  • Weight: Heavy

  • Reconfigurable Blade Assembly: Electromagnetic and alchemical locking systems allow the devaronian blood poison infused pike head to phase between a solid, single-blade halberd mode; a forked, plasma energized pike-head for impalement and grappling; and a full-length polearm configuration for rank-breaking, formation fighting, and extended reach. The weapon can slice through most materials including Beskar with ease. Additionally it can fire blasts of dark plasma from the pike.
  • Miniature Soulfire Conduit: A corrupted kyber cluster and alchemical conduit within the upper shaft can channel controlled Soulfire-like dark-side energies from the wielder into the blade, enabling sorcerous discharges, curse-channeling, and ritual executions that burn more on the level of spirit and psyche than flesh.
  • Force-Channeling Qazûr Core: A Qazûr Weave lattice inside the haft links the weapon directly into the wielder's nervous system and Force presence, stabilizing channeled power, improving control over telekinetic thrusts and pulls, and allowing the pike to act as a precise focus rather than a wild amplifier.
  • Shield Disruption Harmonics: The blade can be tuned to emit short-range disruptive pulses and edge harmonics on impact, optimized to bite into energy shields, riot barriers, and personal defense fields, causing localized flickers, instability, or bleed-through for follow-up strikes.
  • Stun-Kill Output Modulation: Internal capacitors and runes allow the pike's energized strikes to be dialed between incapacitating shocks and lethal, nerve-searing blows, turning the weapon from battlefield executioner to crowd-control and capture tool as required.
  • Mag-Lock and Formation Sync: Magnetic locking lugs and sigil-keys along the shaft let the pike lock to Umbral Aegis armor and synchronize with other pikes in formation, enabling synchronized thrusts, unified dread-auras, and phalanx maneuvers anchored through the weapons themselves.

  • Versatile Polearm Configuration: The Qazûr Execution Pike can rapidly shift between halberd, forked pike, and extended polearm forms, allowing Umbral Guard to adjust instantly to confined corridors, open plazas, charges, or formation combat without needing multiple weapons. Its hardened, alchemized construction ensures it can easily withstand the bite of lightsabers, and bite back harder.
  • Anti-Armor and Shield Disruption: The Bloodsteel-reinforced blade, combined with its shield-disrupting harmonics, is designed to pierce armor, riot shields, and personal defense fields more effectively than a conventional pike or shock halberd, making it ideal for breaking protective lines and punching through elite targets.
  • Force-Channeling Ritual Focus: The Qazûr Weave core and miniature Soulfire conduit turn the pike into an excellent focus for Sith sorcery and martial Force techniques, stabilizing channeled power and allowing controlled discharges that can burn bodies, minds, and even the "weight" of a target's presence in the Force.
  • Intimidation and Execution Tool: As a ceremonial and practical execution weapon, the pike's appearance and effects are deliberately theatrical. Glowing blade edges, crackling energy, and the ability to kill in ways that feel ritualistic and final, amplifying its psychological impact on prisoners, crowds, and enemy combatants alike.
  • Attunement to Umbral Guard: Each pike is attuned to a specific Umbral Guard or a narrow cadre, making it easier and safer for them to wield at full power while rendering it unpredictable and dangerous in the hands of outsiders who lack the proper conditioning and sigil-keys.

  • Close to Medium Range Only: Despite its sorcerous enhancements, the Qazûr Execution Pike remains fundamentally a melee weapon; it has a limited built-in ranged projectile system, and its energy discharges are short to medium range, forcing its wielder into relatively close proximity to capitalizing on its full capabilities.
  • Heavy and Unwieldy in Tight Spaces: The pike is still a large, heavy polearm in cramped quarters, narrow vents, or tight urban interiors, it can become cumbersome, slow to reposition, and easier for agile opponents to slip inside its ideal engagement envelope.
  • Reliance on the Force and Dark Side Alignment: Many of the weapon's advantages assume a Force sensitive, dark side aligned wielder. While under Force Nullification, the pike is still a high-quality polearm, but loses much of its mystic punch.

The Qazûr Execution Pike was conceived alongside the Umbral Aegis and Qazûr Weave as the final component of Darth Prazutis' vision of a perfect executioner. It was never meant to be merely a spear, or even a particularly brutal halberd; it was intended as a moving verdict, a weapon whose very presence in a chamber meant decisions had already been made. To that end, The Shadow Hand designed a polearm that would combine the reach and battlefield control of a pike with the cutting power of a halberd, then buried within its spine the sort of alchemical horrors normally reserved for artifacts and obelisks.

Built around a Bloodsteel core, the pike's shaft houses a Qazûr Weave lattice that ties the weapon directly into the wielder's nerves and presence in the Force. Handling the weapon is not merely a matter of grip and stance; it becomes an extension of the bearer's will, responding to subtle shifts of intent and thought, and serving as a safe channel for the focused brutality that defines the Umbral Guard. The head assembly is designed with four main configurations: a solid, chopping halberd for executions and battlefield cleaving; a forked, energized pike-head ideal for pinning, disarming, and grappling; an extended polearm configuration to counter cavalry or formations; and a more compact mode for corridors and shipboard work. Electromagnetic locks and alchemical pins snap between these modes with an audible, satisfying clack that often heralds imminent violence.

The miniature Soulfire conduit buried in the upper shaft is the pike's most feared feature. When properly invoked, it allows an Umbral Guard to project killing power through the blade that does not simply burn flesh, but scars the target's very presence, leaving them wracked with agony, hollowed out, or spiritually "muted" even if they survive. In battle, this can take the form of crackling, ember-red arcs along the edge; in ritual executions, it manifests as a slow, terrible glow and the sense that the condemned are being erased rather than just killed. The same systems that empower this effect also feed the shield disruption harmonics, letting the pike bite into energy fields, flicker them, and open gaps for follow-up thrusts.

In practical terms, the Qazûr Execution Pike is a reach weapon for Guard who fight in small numbers but with overwhelming local control. It excels at blocking corridors, holding choke points, breaking shield walls, and keeping even powerful opponents at bay while fear and pain do half the work. Its weaknesses are deliberate tradeoffs: It is a heavy, conspicuous, close-range weapon that assumes a strong, Force sensitive wielder and forces engagements into personal space. While under Force Nullification it loses much of its cruel edge and becomes "merely" a deadly polearm instead of a mobile ritual.

Within the Kainate, the sight of a Qazûr Execution Pike being grounded before a kneeling figure has become synonymous with finality. Among enemies of the Kainate, the rumor is simpler: If you live long enough to see the red of that blade up close, everything that matters about you has already been decided.
