Intent: To provide a more accurate account of my character’s actual sniper rifle, instead of being so vague - I wanted to be able to write about it in more detail. I also wanted to provide a unique piece of lore to CorSec’s SpecOps.

Description: This particular model was a prototype given to only seven of CorSec's finest snipers. The reason they chose that exact number was to gain concise yet diverse feedback. These snipers were selected based on their hit to kill margins, a ratio of where their shots landed on the body and personal recommendations from their commanding officers. The idea behind the prototype was to create a unique weapon for Corellian Security. Engineers went through archives upon archives and studied weapons from the Rebellion era all the way back to the Clone Wars’ era. CDFE wanted to create a weapon that could hit hard, with great speed and accuracy.

The SR-AM275-X7 has an effective range of just under 480, and above 320 meters. If the target lays anywhere within this distance the rifle is almost sure to hit (70%). Although the manufacturers claimed that their weapon could hit from a distance of up to 630 m. The keyword here is up to, this does not take into account just where the user might be, their environment, who they’re targeting and if that target has any type of cover. Symara and others of her trade at the time, were almost sure someone smudged numbers because almost none of them could hit a target from that far out, effectively. (2%)

The damage output provided by the magnetic acceleration was greater than typical slug-snipers when the prototype was being put through its pace in the laboratory. On the field, the testers agreed and preferred the prototype to their standard slug-sniper rifles of the time. CDFE had been working on a way to extend the rifle’s effective range while maintaining the damage output. Unfortunately, any future plans or blueprints that were in the works have been lost to the destruction of Corellia itself.

Interesting story about the weapon.

This is as I see is based on the Verpine sniper rifle but limited to normal magazines for slugs. The weapon's fairly balanced, the range is a good drawback as well.
