For those of you from TGC, I can hear you groan. Balls were, admittedly, pretty bad. There was, what? Seven a year? I don't want that.

I really don't want that.

But [member="Cira"] and I were talking about, rather curiously, commendations and medals and whatnot and her inspiration from her time in the Corps (along with plenty of teasing about Sarge escorting her.)

So basically, every year on the Corps' birthday, Marines get together and celebrate with a banquet and dancing and cake. Also booze.

We wanted to do something similar, especially as a means of counterbalancing all the war that's going on. A lot of new folk have joined the Protectorate, and not all are here to engage in never ending fisticuffs.

So, who would be willing to join a thread like this? I know there's not as much fun in it as compared to, say, trying to save collapsing shipyards but we could just consider it a slower moving thread for those looking for a non-serious thread.
