OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: Though part of the character's established canon I figure it was time to follow the rules in this community and make a submission. Designed to provide a form of technological lifespan extension to Gabriel Volturi.
  • Canon Link: N/A
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Primary Source: Resurrection Process
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: Gabriel Volturi Gabriel Volturi
  • Affiliation: Gabriel Volturi
  • Model: N/A
  • Modularity: N/A
  • Production: Unique
  • Material: (What is it made out of? Certain materials are more resistant, or vulnerable to certain weapons. Example: 'Durasteel, blaster components.' If this submission uses materials not found on wookieepedia, please link. You may also be asked to link materials that are obscure or difficult to find, e.g. exist as a byline in wikia entry. )
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Brain Implant: A cybernetic created for the use of Project Mimetic , all clone bodies are implanted with it. The implant was capable of recording the brain's electrical pulses associated with memories. The implant would be able to upload the data to a central hub, as long as it was within a mile.
  • Memory Collection: The central hub, and heart of Project Mimetic, this was where the brain data would be received and stored. Upon receiving a death signal it would begin to download the latest records into the implant of an innert clone.
  • Clones: The product of thousands of years of cloning research each clone was created without consiousness and to be a perfect clone of Gabriel Volturi. They would be stored in stasis until such time that one was activated.
  • Mobile Hub: Though the whole system is designed to be modular and smaller units could be established for quicker response time, Gabriel maintained an unnamed and unregistered Raider II-class Corvette as a central location for the process. The ship is crewed by a team of droids and is constantly on the move, keeping to unused hyperspace routes and only landing when refueling and additional materials were needed.
STRENGTHS
  • The whole process makes it easy for one to escape true death. Though the body would die the memories and consciousness of the individual would be downloaded into a new body.
  • The speed and efficiency of the process continues to improve as the technology needed grew.
WEAKNESSES
  • The implant is weak to EM blasts. Though it would not stop the process of resurrection it can disrupt new uploads in process and delay the central hubs alert to prepare a new clone body.
  • Because it is dependent on technology, if his ship were to ever be destroyed much of the tech and clones used would be lost.
  • Project Mimetic is expensive to maintain. Funding is supported by a large network of investments and contracts. If funding were ever lost the project would not be able to maintain its self with the necessary materials.
DESCRIPTION
(Describe some of the histories behind the submission. Give us some idea of how it might perform its function, what it excels against and what some limitations of it are. This is where you talk about your idea, flesh it out over at least a good-sized paragraph, and address some of the ways it might be used or abused. For especially powerful or ambitious submissions, a very thorough description is recommended.)
