Cognitive Module

- Generates an Electromagnetic Pulse (Phase I)
- Generates an Anti-Organic, Defoliation Wave (Phase II)

Excellent Against Technology: The CEM-75's initial phase is specifically designed to counteract one of the major shortcomings of conventional defoliation devices: shields. Upon reaching the designated altitude - as dictated by the onboard Cognitive Module - the munition's first phase will unleash a terrifying electromagnetic pulse. This pulse is extraordinarily effective against shields, droids, and other conventional technologies to the point where deactivation/disruption is a common result.
Excellent Against Organic Material: The second phase of the Swashbuckler begins in tandem with the EMP release. As the first phase begins, the second phase of the warhead breaks away and is dumb-fired towards the surface via an additional rocket. Impact with the surface unleashes a fiery shockwave of defoliation energies - capable of completely eradicating organic material upon contact. The strength of defoliation as an ordnance is that it leaves inorganic matter, such as infrastructure, completely intact.

Force-Based Tampering: While launched at a pace that surpasses the conventional eye's ability to track, the Force is a powerful tool. This munition is not immune to perception by the Force by any means and can be interrupted by similar means.
Point-Defense Weaponry: Automated, anti-ordnance fixtures may be able to keep pace with the munition enough to prematurely shoot it down before reaching the target area.
Indiscriminate: Successful detonation does not recognize friend or foe on the ground.

The CEM-75 Swashbuckler is a direct result of the Confederacy's recent experiences in warfare. Throughout its numerous battles, the nation has encountered difficulties when initiating combat against enemy fortified positions - especially urban environments. As a result, the Confederate Defense Force commissioned a weapon that could create a vital opening for landing forces into hostile territory. Known as the "Combined Effect Munition 75", this missile is specifically designed to disrupt and to burn away enemy personnel within a significant radius.
It is the nation's hope that, by use of one such destructive measure, Confederate casualties can be minimized whilst on the field of battle.
