Prison [re]Break

"Blaster was lost. You've just got to hold tight Kid"

Qae was on to something. While he was more concerned about getting water to get the lingering smell and effects of the gas off them, Delila was worried about escaping. Their turbolift was going to the top floor, a hangar level. Looking up, the escape hatch for the turbolift loomed over her head. Standing, Delila experimentally tried to reach it. Even with a jump it would be impossible for someone with her height to open the hatch and get through without help.

"I've got an idea. Once this stops, I climb up through the access hatch and into the maintenance crawlspace. I take the binders and blast us some water down. The explosions should give a small distraction."

Quickly taking the binders from Qae's arms, Delila placed them on her own wrists. It would be easier,it wasn't as if the items locked anyways. Having the Nautolan make a basket with his fingers interlaced, Delila stepped into his hands and was lifted up, unlocking the hatch and pulling herself though. Poking her head back through, Delila looked at Qae and Thee.

"If I don't meet up with you two in an acceptable time frame, leave. Thats an order."

Not giving the pair a chance to argue, Delila shut the hatch and went to the nearest crawlspace. It was time for her to shimmy through and try to blow a pipe close enough to her water friends.

Then she was gone, off to do her thing. Delila, the expert of battle that she was and special forces mercenary, was doing her job better than Qae ever would. Right then. His job was to look after his friend, which he could very much do. He leaned down and picked Thessa up, slinging her easily over his shoulders in a fireman's carry. She'd be okay there, for now, if she wasn't gonna be doing much moving.

"We've missed you, y'know," he said quietly, waiting just outside the turbolift, for when the inevitable happened. "We all did. I sure did, I know that. It's so good just to see you... and I'm sorry for not coming sooner."

As the elevator rose to the upper floors, a trio of rolling droideka got into position, unfurled their bodies and deployed their shield before powering up their weapons systems. Behind them two squads of Imperial storm troopers in full combat gear took up positions, armed with heavy blaster rifles set to stun, their orders were to try and capture the escaping prisoners before they could reach the hangar.

Elsewhere on the prison, the outer towers all cycled their crew fired weaponry as they began to scan the sky for hostile intruders. The heavy quad ion cannons were capable to disabling starships in midflight, causing them to plummet to the ground from a combination of gravity and gross body weight.

Meanwhile in the hangar, several crews were moving ion cannons into position to begin the order to deionize the engines of the spacecraft, in case, the escapees made it that far. Although he dismissed this a foolish rescue attempt, the Sith did not leave anything to chance as he never was one to underestimate his opponents.

Going into the shaft seemed like an excellent idea at first. Until her mild claustrophobia kicked in after she couldn't see the exit behind her anymore. She wasn't always so upset about such confined spaces. Blame Roche. Seemed perfectly logical when one had a cave system collapse around them. Peeking out of a vent, Dells took the time to relax for a moment. This wasn't so bad, right?Right? It wasn't as if she couldn't claw her way out.Hopefully.

Crawling along, she estimated the distance from when she peeked out from the vent. Coming to a rough stop near the bank of turbolifts, a bracer came off an was secured close to the water pipe. Quick work was made of combining the two types of explosives together for a delayed thermal reaction.

Not taking the time to stick around, Delila continued to crawl forward and beyond, up further in the hangar. She had gotten a good distance away when a rumble and bang made itself known through the vent. A flash of heat up from behind her. Then nothing but the sound of water gushing from the vents and pipe systems and onto the hangar below. She had just created a sizable waterfall in the hangar.

One down. One to go.

[SIZE=10pt]Lips parted, about to protest the carrying-thing but she quickly realized she wouldn’t make it out on her own. “Oh Security,” head lulled against his arm as black-spots continued to flit before her vision from the sudden vertigo. “I…I didn’t want to cause trouble for you…Judah, the Vagrants. But it was my family,” a shudder ran through her body.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=10pt]She wondered if she would be kicked out from the fleet.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=10pt]Cool-cascading water rained down on them and she already felt strengthened, her dehydrated-body greedily soaking up the nutrients. “Looks like Dells came through for us,” head tilted at the sound of trooper foot-traffic and the whirring of battle droids, “…..ahhh kriff.”[/SIZE]

The Sky Dancer II was not defenceless. In fact, excluding Qae, it had a crew of thirteen, all of which had blaster rifles and basic combat vests. They'd be able to pick off the ion cannons before they set up, really, but that wasn't their primary armament. Said primary armament were the eight light turbolasers that it packed - an insane amount of firepower for a vessel of that size. Indeed, the Sky Dancer II was more than capable of taking on ships four times its length with some comfort.

Those men and women were now poking their way out of the ramp, checking, while there were a couple ready to fire those turbolasers at the right moment, to take out those ion cannons. Nothing would be left to chance. Just in case? Its shields went up. After all, infantry-portable weapons weren't enough to harm large starships - fact of life. It never hurt to double check.

Meanwhile, during Qae and Thessa's moment...

"You're one of us, Blue - you're never trouble. We were ready to conquer the Galaxy to find you again," he said, as the sudden font of water hit his skin. Oh, perfect. The refreshing water served as a means to wash the gas off, as a way to refresh his body and, more importantly, as a weapon - the Water Shaper wasted no time in scything through his restraints by shaping the water, cutting every last piece of steel of his body that they had put on him, as well as Thessa's chains.

Now, he was ready for a real fight. Fortunately for Qae, that real fight was moments later, when the enemy showed up - droideka and troopers! Thes eguys were dead serious. Wait... were those stormtroopers? Was this a Sith facility? No way...

However, Qae wasted no time in leaping into action, the water still blazing down from the pipe becoming his greatest weapon as it rushed forth in a high-pressure jet. Unlike the last one, with the focus enough to cut steel, all he needed to do was shape enough to push down the first wave - droidekas could not stand after being knocked over - and then barrel into the rest of them, throwing them off, so he could take care of the rest.

The fight was on now.

The battle in the hangar was underway, as the ships defenders repelled the initial attacks. While the turbolasers were working in their favor, it also limited them as an errant blast could literally drop the ceiling right on top of them. How long they could keep the advantage was yet to be seen. Meanwhile the defenders began deploying more expendable droideka units to cover their advance. It was obvious that unless the rescue party got back soon, they would be caught in an inescapable trap.

As soon as the doors swung open the troopers and droids began blasting away with riotous abandon. The jet of water swept the droids off their feet forcing them to struggle as they tried to reestablish balance, while troopers began pouring in from two separate corridors. It was obvious that in a few more minutes they would be outnumbered and outgunned.

Still stuck in this damned vent.

She had one explosive bracer/cuff left. Attaching it to another section of pipe, a second explosion rocked the water supply. This time flowing behind the crowd of troops assembled. Waiting for the dust to die down, Dells poked her head out of the massive crater she had just blown in the venting and mechanical systems. Her new problem? Being massively high in the air. It was a hangar after all. A blaster bolt whizzed by her head and she stuck her head back inside the venting.

The water flowing out of the pipe was very rapid. The pipe had been fairly large. She was looking at two options. Try to jump down and land on a pile of soldiers. Or try to jump down and hope the current carried her down relatively safely.

"Should have thought of this sooner Dells"

Seeing no other options due to the explosions she had caused behind and in front of her, Dells gripped the pipe and jumped into the water spray. Soon she was rocked and slammed down onto the hangar, bashing her head pretty hard on something sharp. Blood immediately started to seep down her face from the cut that was etched from her hairline down past to her eyebrow, narrowly missing her eye.

Wasn't much time to worry about it. Collecting a blaster from a dead trooper, she started blasting her way from the back of the crowd.

@[member="Delila Castillon"] @[member="Daxton Bane"] @[member="Qae Shena"]

If she was force sensitive, she would feel the power coursing through Qae, as her dear friend manipulated the water with deadly accuracy. Instead, she had to settle on just seeing it in action. The extra weight of the chains finally fell away with a sickening clunk on the ground. Body pressed tightly against the Nautolan as he carried her through the aftermath of his water attack. And it was all she could do to hold on, now easier, sans chains.

"You're amazing Qae," she breathed next to his ear, trying to keep her body from trembling. "I just hope our hard-headed Omega Pyre officer is doing good, too."

Lifting her glistening face, she just caught the hangar entrance up ahead, seeing flashes of blaster fire.

Dells.

Heart sank as a prominent figure blocked their path, fingers dug into Qae's arm. Anger and fear bubbled within the Galan as she and Qae charged for Daxton.

Blasting her way through a crowd and constantly taking cover was no way to plan an escape. Death, sure.

With the Sith Lord...or whatever he was....focusing on Thessa and Qae, Dells just had to deal with some of his lackeys. Some was a relative word, as the room was filled with death dealing soldiers. Ducking behind various crates and boxes on the walls of the hangar she had been making very, very slow progress to the shuttle. Currently pinned down, Dells dug through the supplies...finding oil. Useless against the droids. But for the humans...

Busting open the containers, Dells did her best to try to get the fluid everywhere. A combustible blaster shot the the oil and now she had a cozy(read : roaring) fire going in the drier section of the space. With the human soldiers highly distracted, Dells started to blast and kick her way to the shuttle to pick up her aquatic friends.

From the sound of things, it looked like his guests were making a mess of things. It was to be expected that children would have such narrow minds, not it was a pain none the less. Standing calmly as the blue skinned pair approached, it was obvious that they were already on their last legs. The male was barely standing and the female well as delicious as she looked all indignant and mad, she was barely hold them up.

"I could let you go, perhaps enjoy this dance again for another day but I am afraid, you have seen to much of our little operation here. Grandmaster Ben Watts would not approve of me leaving any witnesses. A shame really I was so looking forward to experimenting on you. But don't fear I will make it as painless as possible."

With a hiss his electric blue saber came to life and he approached the pair as Delila started her small bonfire.

"It's a shame for you Grandmaster Watts is a friend of mine," Qae shouted back in response. "You can't fool me. I do know him, little man."

As the lightsaber roared to life, Qae grinned viciously - he knew how to deal with lightsabers in a way Daxton Bane could never properly fathom. The Vagrant's powers, and inherent physical capabilities, were literally beyond his comprehension simply for a lack of exposure to them. What he had in mmind, and his standard modus operandi, for any given lightsaber-wielding opponent, meant that he could do many, many things to them without them knowing. Or understanding, in the end.

There were scars on his forearms for a reason.

Without any hesitation, Qae Shea delved back into the Force, summoning his Master's trademark ability of Force Valor, his primary skillset, able to bolster friends and allies as well as his own body. Fortunately, Qae had two of them in the form of Thessa and Dells, and then more of them in the form of his crew as they unloaded fire across the room that would probably spare them from being shot and take them from faceless mooks to faceless mooks with actual skill. Fire and water were also the skill of the day, even as Thessa dragged her - one errant blast into a troope rto spare one of his pilots, then back towards Daxton.

"Leave him to me, Blue. You can't hope to do this how I can."

Maybe she could help, but she wasn't a master of hand-to-hand combat. Daxton was now in Qae's arena.

Without hesitation, Qae charged in at high speed, ready to mash his palm through Daxton's face with a simple palm-strike. He fought lightsabers bare-handed, after all. The power glands in his arms were already active and ready.

@[member="Qae Shena"]

"Apprently not as well as you think fool." Daxton all but sneered in response as his foe charged at him, falling for his ruse. The Sith had no intention of playing fair, it simply wasn't his style at all.

Waiting until his opponent was no more than six paces from him, at a range almost impossible to dodge, Daxton switched his blade off and telekinetically threw two Forcebreaker grenades between them, coating the pair in harmful chemical.

Since Daxton's armor was a sealed environment suit, he had absolutely no fear of the effects of the munitions, his Force powers not dampered one bit. Unfortunately the same could not be said for his foe.

Before he could recover, Daxton launched a dizzying barrage of telekinetic blows using his Force Tentacles from all directions as he began to laugh manically.

Qae Shena

Super Shaper Puppy!
It was such a mistake that Daxton was assuming his little attack would work, because Qae was not a moron. One did not simply conceal grenades on one's person, nor could they be made to automatically work on an opponent. That was the kind of hubris that lost people fights, and also lost them prestige and respect when it came to the dealings of others. Perhaps he'd take this chance to learn never to do it again.

After all, when a stream of water absorbed the chemicals released by a Forcebreaker grenade and not the incoming Echani master, he wasn't going to feel it. Indeed, the best way to stop a grenade like this was to wash it away - yes, one could not hit it with the Force and not expect it to work, but water? Water would absorb the spray of chemicals when it surrounded the grenade with the same amount of force that set it off, given that it was wider than the grenade. Okay, so maybe it had been meant originally for Daxton as an attack, but nonetheless it meant that Qae wasn't completely out of the fight because someone forced him to be. In fact, it could keep going and knock him away, hitting Daxton with a diluted stream, if he didn't move out of the way in time. Not that it'd matter, given armour, but hey.

It might've been enough to distract him from the telekinetic strikes after a few quick hits, which did work. To reset the situation, and then for Qae to leap in afterwards with blows fired at lightning speed, palm strikes strong enough to shatter a durasteel battletank - solar plexus, throat, face, heart. All of them aimed at putting Daxton Bane out.

@[member="Daxton Bane"]

@[member="Qae Shena"]

Daxton wasn't expecting the hit to the solar plexus, although his armor did deflect most of the force, it was enough to drive the air from his lungs and send him flying into the wall, cratering the ferrocrete mildly as the Sith sought to get back to his feet.

"Was your mother a squid? The girl punched me harder than that." He taunted his foe as he lied between his teeth. That hit actually hurt him. Well if it was Force Elemental Mastery that he wanted to play at, Daxton could fight on equal terms. His knowledge of water might not be as strong as his foe but he was a Master of both Air and Earth.

A very deadly combination, should he desire to fight. Not that he needed to, no let them have this little victory. He scored the woman's mind now, there was nowhere she could run that was outside his reach. Time for a tactical retreat.

Laughing scornfully, he said, "You have no idea you have already lost. She is mine, now and forever fool." Activating his smoke screen boots, he obscured his position in a cloud of thick smoke as he laughed manically. By the time smoke cleared, the Sith Lord was gone and in his place the sound of more troops and droids could be heard.

Seeing as she didn't have the Force or a fancy lightsaber....or lightsaber resistant hands....Delila skirted the main battle. There was still the matter of actually rescuing Thessa in the middle of all the fights and posturing. Avoiding her not-so-carefully set fire, Dells blasted her way along to where Thessa was passed out. There wasn't much resistance. Most had died or retreated, leaving their leader to his hand-to-hand combat. Reaching the Galan, the Major checked for a pulse.

Still alive. Always nice.

Taking the slumped over woman from under the arms, Dells started to drag her back to their shuttle.

@[member="Delila Castillon"] | @Daxton Bane | @Qae Shena

The strength Qae gave her was just enough for the wiped-out Galan to remain semi-conscious. Head jerked up from the lulled-back position as she felt the familiar echo of hull-plating beneath her feet as Dells dragged her onto the ship. "Are we safe yet?"

Her voice was weak but something caught her eyes. Jerking away from Dells in alarm, she slumped to the ground, leaning against one of the ship's interior walls. Fingers reached down to wrench away metal cuffs that were hanging half on her scale-speckled skin. Qae's water trick had severed their connection but they seemed to be sticking stubbornly to her ankles. The moment her fingers enclosed around the metal cuffs, a hot-electric shock fired through her body.

The cuffs fell away the moment her head hit the deck. This time she couldn't escape the dark-grasp of unconsciousness.

And then he was gone. Well, that wasn't too hard, was it? Just deal with an onslaught of the Force and counter it appropriately. Right, then. In a cloud of smoke they no longer had to deal with the attack of their masked foe. The situation was clear - but the enemy was still coming.

Another torrent of water to brush off the first attackers before the combined arms fire of Qae's crew pouring their blasters into the oncoming foes, even turbolaser fire, into the enemies that appeared. Needless to say the Sky Dancer II and her crew weren't going to be suffering any losses here with the help of their Captain. It wasn't easy, but Thessa and Dells were at least aboard now.

"Back to the ship!" Qae shouted, taking a position at the base of the ramp in order to be fire support for his pilots and engineers as they made their way back aboard. One by one, Qae and his crew made their way back into the hull of the ship, Qae naturally being the last one to go after he counted every head back onto his beloved freighter. He had to make sure he and his men could at least get through the first wave or so safely, before more reinforcements arrived.

"Right then. Get this bird in the air!" Qae shouted as he got back to the bridge, strapping himself into the commander's chair. The massive Starlight-class freighter would get them out of here safely, of that he had no doubt.

@[member="Thessa Kai"] | @[member="Daxton Bane"] | @[member="Qae Shena"]

With Qae having a handle on their escape plan -- even now she could hear shouts and the ship swaying about -- Dells focused on their badly injured Galan. Touching the ankle binders seemed to give an electrical shock that knocked her out. First thing was first and that was to remove those. Taking Thessa from under her arms again, Dells drug her down to the MedBay. Calling for a crewmember, Dells and the man put passed-out mermaid up onto a infirmary bed.

"We're going to have to borrow some tools from maintenance. Binders are electrical. I say we disrupt the electric with an EMP then make quick work of cutting them off. Its going to take a bit.."

So with a plan in mind and relative safety in the air, work on truly freeing Thessa began.
