DESCRIPTION
The House Mecetti Nationalized Industries enters the Point-Defense market with the PRBC-300, their largest of three planned point-defense systems. Designed to be installed on buildings and ships larger than Starfighters, they lack the long-range capability which most shipboard weapons have. This is because their role is to defend against inbound ordinance and strafing starfighters, not to attack enemy vessels.

In the role of defense, the PRBC-300 reigns supreme. A very high rate of fire ensures that a cloud of blaster bolts greets every inbound threat, and a high damage output ensures those threats are obliterated. The weapons are also retractable, so that a well-defended ship need not appear to be a well-armed ship. This is vital in civilian-adjacent activities and even full on military activities where an offensive posture is not always desirable.

Should you purchase multiple cannons, they can network with each other to divide the sky or starscape into defense zones, ensuring that no two cannons waste fire on the same targets. This enables the sorts of defensive fire efficiency that ensures no threat is missed, and no shots are wasted.

If your enemies have squadrons of fighters or swarms of missiles, the PRBC-300 is the right defense solution for you.
