It had been a standard three weeks (given or take a day or two) since the attack on the Royal Palace. Alicia did not pretend to know where the investigation, following the attack, had led to. She didn't have many contacts in the Galactic Alliance, and asking Jedi Master Taeli Raaf about it invited suspicion, so she hadn't got in contact. As for the Naboo, she hadn't made any inquiries with Lady Cardei or her aide, [member="Lady Shambleau"]. Despite the Praesidium shield, Chandrila DataTech had no real reason to inquire, except perhaps for security concerns, and Alicia knew that the Naboo were an isolationist people, so outside questions tended to be ignored, particularly given the nature of the attack.

Through simple logic and deduction, Alicia reasoned that the attack coincided with the Galactic Alliance's presence and found dominion over the Naboo. She could also guess that both sides could reason that the Royal Family had also been the target. With this in mind, Alicia had returned to the Naboo cautiously. The Gathering on Sojourn had been a success, with the Praesidium shield unveiled to Alicia's guests. Shambleau, who had been in attendance, no doubt returned to Naboo with a report, indicating that the shield was complete. All that was required was the delivery.

A single Acavus-class bulk cruiser dropped out of hyperspace in the Naboo system, relaying codes to the Naboo Starfighter Corps that stated it's business. On board was the Naboo's own shield- one of three currently in existence- that was to be installed as per the prerogative of the Naboo and the deal they had struck with Chandrila DataTech and their associate, Camellia Swift. With Taeli in attendance on Sojourn, her stock in DataTech and member of the Alliance, she was naturally informed of the upcoming installation, as was Camellia (who had helped invent the technology), Ajira Cardei (who had brokered the plasma deal), Shambleau (Ajira's aide) and members of the Royal Family, who had given go ahead for the project.

What happened on Naboo was still something the Rendili woman hadn't looked into. The reports she did try and gather to try and understand felt uncertain themselves as to what transpired. Someone had certainly caused a fuss in the form of an attack during the Galactic Alliance's arrival, but as to who was behind it and what was the whole reason for it it seemed no news was readily available. Putting it aside though, it seemed to have sped up Chandrila Datatech's release of their Praesidium Project. Camellia wasn't certain what to really think when the invitation reached her about Alicia's intent to travel to Naboo and begin installing the shield generator. Should she go and watch it take place? Or should she remain on Rendili in case something happened?

In the end the head of Rendili Stardrive found herself sighing as she sat aboard a ship enroute to the Mid Rim world. She would go for the sake of seeing the business through to the end, though she wasn't a fan of making the trip under such a tight schedule.

Alicia made a move to join Camellia, as she waited for the Acavus to be cleared for docking. Joining the side of the woman from Rendili, she said: "We did not get to talk much during the Gathering. But I wanted to convey how helpful you have been to this project. Your help cannot be underestimated or thanked enough. Without your designs, the Praesidium would never have come together. Thank you, Camellia."

When Alicia appeared beside her the Rendili woman flashed her a grin as she nodded in welcome before the owner of Chandrila DataTech began offering her several thanks. "I only offered what little was asked of me. Rendili only provided its reactor technology, the shield generation system was entirely the result of Chandrila DataTech's hard work. So don't sell your people short. Besides, it's not like I did any actual work with the project, I told employees to do their jobs to actually make things happen. I just get the fun role of deciding which projects to push forward. I'll be sure to let the engineers and techs know you appreciate their efforts though. Hopefully the Naboo are pleased with the work as well."

"I think they will be most pleased."

Alicia turned her gaze to one of the Acavus' bridge officers, who explained that they had received permission to land on the planet surface. Nodding, Alicia gaze permission to begin landing procedures and turned to watch space. Moving out of it's high orbit, the Acavus begun to dive. Moving out of the stratosphere of the planet, the bulk cruiser emerged from white clouds, accompanied by a squadron of Naboo starfighters, who were escorting the vessel down to Theed.

"We should have some lunch. I do have something to discuss with you. I think that we can call each other friends, right? I think the best business are done with friends, don't you?" Smiling, Alicia turned and walked away from the observation deck, expecting Camellia to follow.

Heightened security procedures were in effect, not only due to the Sith attack some weeks ago, but because the Queen was dead. Much of Theed was still in mourning, and Ajira's duties had increased. Everyone's had. Though Naboo's administration had all manner of procedures for circumstances like this, Her Majesty Andromeda Versai had left a gap that affected everything, in small ways or large. Naboo starfighters scanned the freighter and guided it to a landing pad outside of Theed, as the city's landing facilities were already jammed with traffic. Well-wishers, opportunists, dignitaries who'd attended the funeral -- Theed bustled with activity. Perhaps Her Majesty would have been pleased to know that her death had boosted Theed's economic activity by a measurable margin.

Ajira met the Acavus in person. A handful of lesser functionaries and RSF palace guards would have come along, but the demands of the day meant she was alone save for the engineering crew and their hovertransport.

The Rendili woman did suppose she considered the head of Chandrila DataTech her friend now. Doing business together it was better to make friends over enemies, and Alicia Drey was more than pleasant enough to work with. "Lunch sounds good. Though I hope it doesn't end up leading to a punchline where a Naboo official offers us one as well. And yes, I can consider you a friend though I hope that isn't just a lead into mitigating bad news." While still catching up on the attack, Camellia was unaware of the fact of the Queen's death as of yet and as such wasn't expecting a somber arrival. So following after Alicia the Rendili woman was more focused on presenting the product than anything.

"What bad news could I possibly deliver today, Camellia?" asked Alicia, grinning. "This is a good day." Turning, Alicia laid her eyes on Theed as the Acavus begun landing procedures. Making her way from Camellia's side, she begun to make her way from the bridge into the bowels of the ship and out onto it's landing ramp to greet Ajira. She hadn't expected the lady herself to come and receive Alicia so soon, rather expecting an aide or Lady Shambleau to be the one who receive and escort them. Putting on her greatest smile, Alicia said: "Lady Cardei. It is a pleasure to see you and your world again."

"We're pleased you could visit again," said Ajira. "Her Majesty's Office send their regards. It's a pity you weren't able to make it for the funeral. Still, Her Majesty wanted us secure, and your work will help with that."

So much for the small talk. She eyed the Acavus, then gestured behind her. The engineering crew backed up their hovertransport almost to the ramp. "My people will follow your lead on transporting the reactor. We have prototype handling procedures, but every prototype is different, naturally. From there, they'll take the prototype to one of our facilities. I trust you have plasma containment gear aboard as well? If so, I can arrange a plasma tanker to load you directly this afternoon. Tell me, Alicia, Camellia, what kind of timeframe did you have in mind? Do you have any constraints I need to work with?"

"Yes. I have to be back on Chandrila in a week. It takes a day and a half to move between Chandrila and Naboo, plus it will likely take three days for the shield to be installed. Provided that the Praesidium is installed within that time frame, we should be fine."

Alicia gestured to the Acavus as she replied to Ajira's inquiries. "We would appreciate if your people could handle the transportation. My people will work in conjunction with yours for installation. Our Plasma containment gear was regularly checked en route to Naboo, so everything is in place for your tanker to handle transport."

"I was saddened to learn that her Majesty passed away. It is a terrible shame that she could not see the Praesidium being installed, knowing that Theed would be one of the most protected cities in the Galaxy. I hope that her death had nothing to do with the attack on Theed? I had just left the planet when the attack occurred, and despite my best attempts, I was not allowed to re-enter Naboo, so that I could try to help."

Sniffing, Alicia added: "I did not receive an invitation to her Majesty's funeral. A shame, otherwise I would have attended."

Ah so she had been absent of information, still the Rendili woman was somewhat glad to be made aware of the Queen's passing before she asked if the royal would be part of the process. Nonetheless it was depressing news considering one could only imagine what direction the planet would be heading now considering the powerplay of the larger galactic factions. "I have should be back within the same period as Alicia actually. Things on Rendili are fine but things are shaking up nowadays so its best not to stay away too long." Following the other two as they moved down the ramp and discussed the shield unit's transport, Camellia wasn't certain how to appropriately respond to the news. She had never met the Queen, however, her company did seem to be more acquainted with the late royal which left her in an awkward position as Alicia lamented being unable to attend the funeral. "At the very least we can meet the request that was made of the design, I hope that is acceptable for her as she rests in peace."

With the pleasantries passed, Alicia gestured to Ajira as she said: "Shall we continue, then? With this recent news of the Queen's passing, and the attack that happened at Theed, I think that getting the Praesidium up and running as soon as possible would go a long way to securing Naboo's security. After all, Theed seems like a prime target. Wasn't there some hostile forces in the capital the day that the palace was attacked?"
