Powering the Paladin (SSC)

[member="Tempest"] [member="Coren Starchaser"]

Xander ducked behind some cover when the bolts started flying scanning the battle. Seeing an openign Xander pressed forward with the Troops left in his care when Tempest went all hulk heroic on the first group.

Pushing forward Xander extended a hand force stunning the closest droid to him before impaling it with his saber. He quickly deflected an incoming bolt before ducking behind cover to avoid the next barrage. It was going to be a very long day for the Padawan. After a minute he left his cover pushing forward with the covering fire from the troops slashing a second droid.

Xander would leap frog with the troops. Half of them laying covering fire while Xander and the other half advanced. Then they would switch.

The combination of Tempest, Coren and Xander soon disposed on the droids guarding the hanger. Only a couple of the Firemane troops had minor injuries. Overall, a useful insertion.

“Coren, take a squad and rig the reactor on this station to blow, then join us at the main database. Xander, we’ll draw their attention and meet Coren at the database. We’ll slice in and take the information we need.”

He held his guard-shoto in a reverse shien grip, by the smaller grip, so the blade would keep parallel with his forearm when the fighting started. Shien and djem so were his chosen forms, the latter taking point in his skill set, but even then, it was more to delay fighting until his opponent made a mistake, or something worked out in his favor. Unlike the rest in the Silver Sanctum, Coren wasn’t much of a decent… any kind of Force user, not a Sith, not a Jedi, just someone trained to eliminate the darkness in the galaxy through any means, which was why he’d be using unique weapons and doing a hell of a lot of shooting.

Looking up, he pulled his Power Nine from where it rest on his thigh, his blade extinguished for the time being. A few shots squeezed out helped end the conflict, and his Echani shield mixed with the phrik armor and his protective measures with the Force, helped keep him alive. And would through the engagement.

When the smoke cleared, he made to stand up, and look the field over. Medics were treating the Firemane team and he was making sure there wasn’t anything useful on the bodies. Was he a vulture? Maybe a touch. It didn’t matter too much, nothing of use, but it was always good to loot the bodies. And loot them again, for good measure.

And sell them at the nearest vendor
“Roger that.” He looked to the squad that stepped up. Time to get to work. The pilot lived on starships and spent more than his fair share of time around stations and anything that had a power source. Sabotaging it was not going to be a difficult task. Apparently the trick was going to be arriving there. Stepping up, he started to download the specs and blueprints of the station to his suit’s datapad. Right past the barracks.

Well, at least that would make it exciting. He turned to his squad and nodded, pointing down the hall, pulling his Power Nine out, and keeping his shoto in his off hand.

Needless to say, Tempest had her 25% XP buff active whilst she ran this mission!

And so off she went. Relying less on her lightsabre and more on her bolt pistol, Beskar armour and Force skills to aid her, Tempest advanced.
Lightning had the advantage of being massively destructive to droids, and so when she projected electrical power from her hands it not only short-circuited her targets, it tore them apart in showers of sparks.

Step by step she fought her way through the facility, drawing the droids to her so she could destroy as many of them as possible, clearing Coren a path to the databank.

Coren was a Ranger, if he was anything. A ranger with the way his power list was very short, and specific, a ranger in that he preferred to have the option to use both ranged and melee combat, even if he didn't do much in both. He was a professional with the short ranged pistols, moderately successful with the rifles, absolute garbage with a sniper rifle, and very specific in his saber training. He was decent with Shien and Djem So, but beyond that? Not much, but those were all he needed. Keep the fight going until the backup arrive.

If it would arrive.

With [member="Tempest"] ahead of him, ripping through everything that was droid, he only wished he could access the lightning. He knew he had a few tricks up his sleeves, but for dealing with droids? He'd call in other guns. He was after other Force users, he'd be working to pull them down, stun them, and do what it took to slow their advance. They were pretty simple to deal with, once you got the understanding that if you could become water and be where the enemy wasn't expecting, and absorb and change because of the way they fought, you were fine.

Basically, if Coren was a Pokemon, he'd be Ditto. Or Wobbuffet. Hit them back as hard as you could by adjusting to the way they fought. And right now? He was taking his team down the hall. Lightning was going crazy and his lightsaber was active, deflecting bolts away from him. He was always one to fight like he didn't have a lot of toys, they were just a bonus. Deflecting shots that his shield could take was good practice. Looking up, he grinned.

"Keep 'em distracted." He gave the order. Time to slice open a door. And by slice, he meant Han Solo, break it open and rewire it, slice.

How many levels of scoundrel did he take? Right, the sheet says 7.

Finally, after battling her way through droids galore Tempest found her way to the main databanks. There, with Coren's assistance she was able to dismantle the rest of her opposition.
She gave the pilot a salute and headed to the databanks.
"Nice work, Coren! Any of your people hurt?"
