Image Source: Perfect World Entertainment (Star Trek Online)
Affiliation: Techno Union
Manufacturer: (suggestions, plz?)
Model: X-130 "Poltergeist"
Modularity: No.
Production: Limited
Material: Durinium, Durasteel, Plexalloy
Classification: Multi-role stealth frigate

Length: 350 meters
Width: 190 meters
Height: 50 meters

Armament:
- 5 fast-mounted turbolasers
- 4 mine launchers (usually loaded with firecracker mines)
- 20 flak guns
- 10 Antimissile Octet systems
- 2 Bomblet Generators

Hangar: 2 shuttles.

Special Features:
- Thrust Trace Damper
- Nightshadow Coat
- Overlapping shield generators

Maneuverability Rating: 3
Speed Rating: 6
Hyperdrive Class: .5

Strengths:
- Stealthy: If it's at medium speed, it's almost impossible to sense, and the black coloring makes it pretty hard to see with the naked eye.
- Fast: When the ship finally abandons stealth, it is quite capable of attacking or escaping quickly.
- Redundant systems: Much of the ship is taken up by secondary engine and life support systems. It can usually limp away from bad situations, even with heavy damage.

Weaknesses:
- Light armor: Although damage is mostly mitigated by the defensive weapons and shielding, it's quite possible to blast holes in the hull with enough lucky hits.
- Stealth or Speed?: Some elements of the Poltergeist's stealthing fall apart if it goes at high speeds. The Thrust Trace Dampener, for example, still heats up at the high speeds achievable by this ship.

Description: (WIP)
Development Thread: (WIP)
Intent: To provide the Techno Union with a stealth ship for scouting and ambushing larger vessels.
Who Can Use This: Techno Union (Exceptions will be announced IC)

And where were the spiders
Overlapping, do you mean 'Redundant'
May get dinged to knock hyperdrive to 1.0
And it may get called for a development thread, which is kind of what we do here.

Nah, I meant like Mon Cal shields... Pretty sure those are overlapping, right?

Sort of figured it might need a dev. Just rather wouldn't put anybody (including myself) through one unless one of the judges specifically states I need one.

You're definitely going to need a dev thread. Ten posts would do it as its Nightshadow/Thrust Trace Dampers. Just make sure to notate the weaknesses of NS alongside the TTD, etc.

Looking good though!

Oh, that's you, G... Hi.

And what's the weakness of the Shadow? Thought the thing that'd break the effect was the Trace Dampers...

I feel like we had this conversation before...

Mon Calamari Shields are Redundant. When you develop it, drop a bit of line in there about product sharing. Members of the TU do have shares and control parts of Mon Calamari Hypernautics, so its definitely not a far stretch
