[member="Fireson V'Trechen"] Consuls aren't going to be supreme commander, sorry... you can still have military leadership as consul (see [member="Ari Zanareth"] for reference) but allowing the consul to be both would amount to full on military dictatorship xD

You could feasibly still lead troops, but in a less formal fashion. For example Ari just kinda supervises engagements and lets her Ship commander do all the ordering. Mostly I write her as a supporting role. Gonna make a thread for this btw.
