Pirates, Spice, And- Hey, That's not very nice... (Free Fleet\Open)

1100 Hours
free_fleet_breaker.png
OOC Info:
Just a thread to introduce my character to the free fleet, as well help others start their adventures here. I'll try and make things fun for everyone, but if you want to mess with NPCs and events, that's all good too. This isn't limited to free fleet members either, so regardless of who you are, if you think it'd be fun and you can offer a little to the story, go for it!

A lone Dreadnaught class MK2 Cruiser drifts high above the pinkish hue of the abbadon system. Any attempted scans would bring up only a glimpse of the cruiser's situation, The old vessel appeared to be running on emergency power, the thrusters were all dead and the lighting began fluctuating. There were signs of life, multiple heat signatures dotted the ship's interior, some moving from place to place, some stationary in the crew quarters and cargo hold. Any attempt at establishing comms would be fruitless, only static followed by a repeating distress signal would be returned by the void bound vessel.

"SOS, This is the -dszzzttt- to any and all vessels, Our ship has come -crzzzzssszzttt- and we are in need of immediate assistance, possibly evacuation! We are located at hex 11 H, 14 Vert, Had Abbadon system! Repeat, Hex-"

The exterior of the ship itself showed signs of struggle, blaster scorching and shredded duraplast riddled the outer hull, and littered the cold space outside. it was hard to tell if the scrap metal floating about originated from the cruiser, or something else.

Earlier That Day...
0900 Hours

"Security teams have entered the hanger bay and are awaiting instructions, boss" Voska says as he enters the bridge, stopping beside his client, Duula the hutt. He never liked hutts, or this hutt in particular, but the pay was good and duula wasn't the worst hutt voska had run into. it was his job currently, to keep the fat creature alive. He didn't ask questions, but he knew whatever they were doing here, it wasn't legal. the hutt simply nodded in response, gazing at the stars ahead.

"Clean up a bit, Voska. I want everything to be perfect, These pirates don't think much of me after that scrap on yavin.. I want you and the men to look intimidating, and orderly. not like when i found you on tatooine" the old hutt laughs in that deep, resonating tone that their kind was almost infamous for. Voska nods in return. the both of them watch as a series of smaller ships burst through the pink clouds of the planet below, eventually making their way into the hanger of the cruiser. voska is just about to turn and escort the old hutt out of the bridge when his commlink suddenly comes to life

"It was a trick! the pirates didn't bring credits, they brought more pirates- A Fethin' lot of 'em too!" The transmission ends suddenly at the sound of a blaster. Voska races to the door and smashes the controls with his crushgaunt

"Boss" he looks to the hutt and nods, drawing a blaster and tossing it to him "seems they think less of you than ya thought"

"Hey, That's not very nice..." The hutt chuckles lightly, shaking his head and watching as his men begin to barricade the bridge.

"What do you do with a drunken spacer?"

It was a song he'd picked up back on Lonesome. A jaunty tune that took on an unpleasant touch when placed in the right context. It didn't translate well into his native tongue, but he hummed it softly nonetheless. Not like the others could understand what he was saying even if he decided to belt it out for all of the Core Worlds to hear. He could understand them well enough, but communicating back was something he'd never cared about. He didn't need to talk to get across his intentions. And that was the only real communication that mattered when it came down to it.

He was here for a job. The price for protecting a Hutt was minuscule compared to the wealth he would accrue facing off against these pirates. He'd hoped they'd turn on them. Maybe he even knew, deep down in his blackened heart, that they wouldn't be able to resist betraying the Hutt. What was the point of all this if they didn't? In the end, the possibility of more lives added to his tally was the only thing that had lead him to take the job. And now, his calculated bet would pay of as their antagonistic role became clear for all to see.

[acronym="They will know no mercy."]"Lej gsfwu ezmb ran oloa."[/acronym]

Errai stepped up to bridge door as the others scrambled about making preparations to withstand the coming siege. In one swift motion, a sword and blaster carbine were drawn; one in each hand. His head fell low. Now, he'd only have to wait a little longer until the real transaction began.

Soon, they would pay him with their lives.

Open Space
Aboard Coyote-Class Frigate “The Casval”

Space was quiet for the most part, always left one with their thoughts. A chair spun absentmindedly as Allyson Locke looked towards the ceiling of the Frigate, auto pilot being on it left her with more time to do things. The spinning stopped as she looked over to her left and noticed a red light dimly flashing. “Hmm, curious. Didn’t expect anyone to reach out to us out here.”

The Corellian reached over and grabbed a headset so that she could fully focus on the message that was waiting for them. As one hand shoved the headset onto her head, the other grabbed a datapad and connected it to the ship. Allyson was in for a surprise as she started the download of the transcript and listening to the message. Tilting her head, she played the message back a few times making sure that she was getting all the information. Coordinates followed and Allyson took a moment to see how far out they were.

“Hmm, not far from the system. Alright time to wake her up.” Unplugging the datapad, she used her technomancy to begin warming up the ship and setting coordinates. She had learned the ship pretty well and her own Force powers were growing as she trained more with them. Feeling comfortable with her native skills helped also.

An elevator took her down to the crews’ quarters and she jogged her way towards the room where [member="Jyoti Nooran"] was housed. Quickly rapping her knuckles against the door, she spoke through an intercom that was located just outside the door. “Hey, we got a distress signal. I think you need to check it out. Wake up time, Sleeping Beauty.”

Allyson held out the datapad and looked at her watch waiting for the woman to make an appearance.

Music stopped as everyone started kicking tables and drawing guns. Hex lights stopped without knowing what was happening. Andy knew that his saber was still hidden in the mix table, close to him. "Did you managed to hack-in the ship systems?" whispered "What do you think i was doing?" said the droid in his helmet. It showed some info collected, the hangar bay was overrun and they would get close in minutes.

His reasons...getting paid. He needed the money and the contacts. Didn´t know that it would end up this way, and he needed to find a way out alive "Hex, we are going to ally with the Hutt. I dont know if there are any ships available but we arent going to get there safe..." his droid just nodded. Andy took our his blade "I will aid, but we can´t simply expect they will fall in our bottle neck. Give me a blaster or something" said approaching with a handle in his left hand that passed as a microphone if nobody stared at it. He wouldn´t turn it on, as he would like to stay with his cover as a simple DJ who wants to live.

Then
It was another great day aboard the fleet. She'd only just woken and hit the refresher after a quick jog down the hallways of the sprawling S.S. Aegis. It was by far one of their largest vessels. A hulk that would strike terror into the hearts of most folks, if it was still a warship. No for that they had the S.S. Citadel flying wing, sandwiching the smaller civillian and other sovereign vessels between the two.

She'd signed on at Tatooine, after resigning her commission as Hapan Naval officer. That crew had fallen in with the Free Fleet, and thus she found herself clad in a white t shirt with dirty coveralls; walking to the bridge. Her commlink chirped as she made it to one of the larger lifts.

"Veya here."

"Veya it's Freeta. We have a situation which I believe we could use your help with."

Freeta? Why the Militia Commander of the Fleet was calling her was at this point a mystery. Did news travel that fast? Did they know she was a Hapan Exile trained in Naval Warfare?

She thought she had concealed that part pretty well.

"Whats up?"

"Got a distress call from an unknown vessel near Had Abbadon. Bout a hours jump from here. I'd like you to check it out."

I fix hyperdrives now? Why me?

"Sure, whats the specifics?"

"One Jast Whisperlite, you and a crew of a few folks plus a team of Militia. Shadrya thinks it's a trap."

Shadrya was smart. Growing up in the underworld had taught their Twi'lek Commodore quite a few tricks of the trade.

Unknown vessel, garbled transmission?

Definitely felt like a trap.

"Alright I'll get on it."

"Thanks. We'll be here waiting."

Now

The deft hands of their Pilot guided the stealthy little wedge shaped shuttle closer to the their mark. She was plugged into the shuttles sensors via her helmet, downloading all the sensor data she could get. Scanners showed power outage across a good portion of the ship. A few visuals suggested that the thing had been riddled with mass driver rounds or lasers.

"How they hell they still alive?" Asked the head Militia Rodian.

"Scorch marks are pretty fresh. Judging from the power situation I'd say the reactor has only been offline a few hours."

"Take us in closer."

The pilot, a squat little Bothan named Ughor gave them a thumbs up and swerved the yoke. Twin bafflers locked into place. She was picking something else up on the sensors.

"We got company."

"Anybody important?"

She clicked a few keys on the dash.

"Well this is local to Corellia."

"Think they did it?"

"Naww, from what I hear they're more focused on themselves. Go ahead and dock into one of their airlocks. I'm sending a call to the S.S. Aegis to be on stand-bye in case she's salvageable or there's a sizable amount of rescue required."

The Rodian Militia Captain nodded, and cocked his Czerka machine Pistol with a grin.

"Maybe there will be some beasties on board."

She rolled her eyes and then reached up to grab an overhead strap, hauling herself from her seat.

"Maybe."

Then she reached back behind the seat, pulling a Wildspace Outback Rifle from it's sheath.

Ah yes, another mandalorian, and a DJ. Voska hadn't listened to the DJ's work lately, always busy running the old hutt's security, If they all made it out of this alive, He'd have take some time to listen, He'd picked up a love of music like all naudir clansmen. The other mandalorian was another story, Voska hadn't spent much time around him either, hell- he hadn't even learned his name yet, all he knew was that whatever he spoke, it wasn't mando'a. he appreciated the song, he couldn't understand the tognath's words, but he could tell by the tune that it was drunken spacer, an old favorite of his. one that, given the circumstances, made him a bit uncomfortable, though he didn't care to admit it. the DJ requests a blaster, but voska has none to spare, all of his weapons are already in use. fortunately, the hutt didn't feel the same about the blaster voska had handed to him

"Musician, Take mine" He says, holding out the WESTAR-35 "Just be careful with it, lest incur the mandalorian's whining" he laughs, he knew that voska would be quite upset if something happened to one of his blasters. but then again, he shouldn't have handed it off, it was the hutt's to do with as he pleased, for the moment.

Voska was still busy with control panels in various places near the bridge door, broadcasting a distress signal. he knew the hutt wouldn't like having outside involvement, but voska could already tell by how quickly they had lost contact with the rest of the ship, they had no option.

He takes a moment to fiddle with his hud, looking at a map of the ship before turning to the others "Lads, I have a plan.. It's risky, but it might work. On the far side of the hanger, There's an old patrol craft. I used to use it for bounty hunting, it's got enough space to smuggle us, and our equipment out of here. There's vents running along from the bridge to the life support systems, and then from there to the hanger, it's just big enough for humanoids to crawl through safely.." he says. The hutt nods slowly

"
The bridge has airlocks on either side for this exact occasion, If you bring it up here, We can all escape. Do we have any volunteers for this...?"
Both the hutt and voska look to one another and then to the various crew members in the bridge, there were a few souls other than voska, Khor and munin. none of them budged.. "I only need three of you to pilot that ship. If you're worried about fighting, than just stay in the back"

As the Whisperlite shuttle nears the hangerbay, more blaster scorching on the various crates and small ships, and now bodies. It was hard for the militia of the free fleet to identify them, they all looked to be unmarked ruffians from many worlds, though by their arrangement, it looked as if they had been shooting at one another. closer inspection would reveal that some had a small strand of red cloth tied to their upper arm, perhaps as a way to tell friend from foe among whichever crew wore them. The door ahead appeared to have been cut open, leaving a small rectangular hole through it, just large enough for men to enter single file. inspection of the cargo on the other side would reveal crates of spices, likely stolen from kessel. they came in an uneven number of crates, suggesting that some were missing. further beyond that was the door to the crew quarters, and if they had bothered to scan a map of the ship beforehand, the free fleet would know that the life support was a floor below that, along with the armoury.

Then

With great reluctance, Jyoti rolled out of bed still donning her jumpsuit, joining Allyson in the CIC with the rest of the command staff.

Sleep was a thing the ex-cyborg needed since going all natural, so she struggled not to yawn as she was brought up to speed on events. There really wasn't much to go over, just the ship detecting a static distress call on a loop. It wasn't all that far away from their current rotation, but the Abaddon system was nestled within the Deep Core, a deadly maze of black holes and other dangers.

"I don't have a very good feeling about this," she admitted. "The origin point of this signal is far from the usual trade routes. Could just be pirates trying to bait out would be do-gooders. It would be prudent to launch a probe, but transit could take hours with established routes to that area, and I don't think our survivors have that kind of time if they are legit. It's probably best that Commander Locke and I scout ahead with a shuttle. Either of us can get there and back in considerably less time."

It wasn't an accident that Jyoti and Allyson was on this particular patrol. Capable of real time arrogation, they could traverse the Deep Core very quickly and safely.

She turned her attention to Allyson. "I call shotgun."

'Sleeping Beauty' was determined to get in a few more winks along the way.

[member="Voska Noudir"] [member="Tahiri Veya"] [member="Andy Khor"] [member="Allyson Locke"]

Then

Allyson kept her chuckles to herself as she stood near Jyoti during the briefing, she could sense that the woman was sleepy. The change to the organic body was also something Allyson would have to get used to. That low hum of machine was no longer there when she was with her friend. Seeing Jyoti tired was a little priceless.

Nodding, Allyson agreed with the bad feeling the Jedi Master was having. Her agreement was not only from her own experience when she was a smuggler and dealing with pirates who tried to bait, it was also Jyoti’s feeling. On more than one occasion, Jyoti’s gut kept them out of trouble. Which kept her from dying, which was always good for the Corellian.

“Shotgun?! But –“Allyson wasn’t quick enough, she had hoped she was going to be able to get some sleep on their travels. Shaking her head, she sighed with a smile. “You’ve still going to help me navigate, co-pilot.”

Now

The shuttle finished the jump with a good distance away from the source of the distress signal. It would have been silly to arrive right on top of the ship. Allyson wanted to get a feel of the situation before they went further exploring. The shuttle floated and she looked to Jyoti who she had hoped caught enough sleep during their jump. “You missed a good show of me dodging a few black holes, an asteroid or two. Bunch of stuff like that.” Allyson waved her hand nonchalantly as she smiled through the dangers that the little shuttle had to navigate through.

“I know I don’t get the same bad feelings, but I don’t like the look of this.” Debris floated towards them and Allyson moved the shuttle to avoid it as they crept slowly forward. “Probe time or should I keep creeping along getting closer?”

0900...

Another fight. He didn´t hated it, but tried to avoid it...but the mando just went forward with lust for blood, so there was nothing else to do. Andy reach for the gun and put the end of it to the ground, being careful of not aiming at anyone. In his other hand, his saber also pointing to the ground. Maybe he was careful because of his weakness, the fact that Hex didnt knew how to use any type of weapon and that he didn´t trust anyone in this ship. Had to solve these issues as freezing would get himself kill "We should advance then. The pirates aren´t going to stay foot"

Hex was floating without doing anything, so better to put those expensive programs in use "Put some beat and if you can, put some House in high volume in the corridors where the pirates are. That should slow them or at least break some eardrums. I will tell you when to play music on my helmet" "Got it, but they will shoot at the speakers..." In the right moment, maybe his powers unleashed could change the tide of any situation. "You have a better idea?" The silence was enough answer. Hex position himself behind Andy, while the DJ stood ready to advance

--0900 Hours, Bridge--

The Mandalorian acting as a liason to the Hutt laid out his plan to reach the hangar using vents while avoiding most of the marauders that stood in their way before circling back to rescue the rest of the group from the bridge. Errai didn't much care about getting away from the pirates. Who runs from a bargain when it's presented on a silver platter? On the other hand, maybe his needs could coincide with those of his employer. A distraction to provide those with less fortitude the means to flee from a situation they had little control over. While the presence of a DJ in this situation was somewhat... confusing, his own planned distraction could prove useful when it came down to it. And the absence of other 'allies' would leave more wealth for him to take as he pleased. Perhaps this could work out after-all.

The bridge of the Dreadnaught was a simple affair, and it wasn't hard to see the vent hatch the other Mandalorian referenced. With a simple flourish, he sliced the locking mechanism off, and the panel fell forward with a metallic shearing. The other was correct in that it had enough room to move through, albeit uncomfortably. His sword pointed towards the new opening in a gesture that didn't require words, although he spoke them anyway.

Then, 0900 Hours- Bridge
free_fleet_breaker.png
Voska was pleased to see that errai was in just as much of a hurry as he was, and that the DJ had agreed. he gives them both a nod and makes his way to the vent, swapping comm channels in order to keep his boss posted. he then gets down on the ground and crawls in, grunting as he scrapes some paint off the top of his helmet on the way in. The trip through the vents would be slow, With voska and whoever followed him in dragging themselves through the dark shaft for quite some time, though voska's flash visor made it easier for him to see.
Some time later, He'd stop suddenly, gesturing those behind him to stop. In front of him was a small grate, and below it- one could see, and even hear a pair of pirates speaking to one another.

"It won't bloody budge!" One of the pirates said, kicking at the door to the life support room "Ahh don't waste your time with it, We'll just have to catch up to them breachin' fellas. Sounds like their almost through to the crew quarters, then we'll 'ave some real fun"

"Yeah, But if we shut them life support panels off, than we can laugh while they all suffocate 'n all that"
After that, the pirates conversation devolved into an argument real quick.

Voska sighs as he watches from above
. "psst" He begins to whisper "I think there's another grate just up ahead. We could drop down at the same time, take 'em both quietly. whaddya say?" he says, dragging himself towards the second grate

[member="Andy Khor"] [member="Errai Munin"]

At least he could edit the light outside his helmet, and see through the dark. He followed the two mercenaries into the vents. Hex would stay in the bridge hidden behind some panels, out of sight. If the pirates breach and discover the droid, it would look like a droid who got damaged. In that state, Hex could still send him information of position and use the speakers at his advantage. Andy crawling was the last thing he would have expected but he already said that he would follow them. He stopped, as the mando in front of him whispered and looked down. Hex passed the image of a camera near by and there were two pirates arguing. Surprising them would be the best

"I will turn the speakers in the hallway next to them, and the ones where the other pirates are. That would distract all of them while cover any noice of the fight" whispered. He did exactly that, ordering Hex to turn on the speakers "Go, take them out". In stress situation, Andy would just act without giving it another thought. In a second, part of the ship speakers started playing a song at high volume.

[member='Allyson Locke'] [member='Errai Munin'] [member='Voska Noudir']

Jyoti never really slept during the ride, instead engaging in rejuvenating meditations to keep herself alert. All the while, she was able to absently follow Allyson's plotting through the Deep Core to the Abaddon System. For first time astrogators, it could be a bit terrifying feeling titanic celestial bodies altering space and time all around them, but the Echani experienced nothing but wonderment as she perceived the macro universe and the Cosmic Force holding it all together.

"Oh yes, I sure missed it all," she replied as she sat up in the copilot seat. "Maybe next time."

Break time over, she immediately got to work, triggering the Eidolon's active stealth systems as Allyson flew on. Sensors picked up on the source of the distress call, a seemingly rundown Dreadnaught cruiser, drifting listlessly within a large debris field against the ruddy backdrop of Abaddon. The hull was pockmarked with carbon scorching and jagged breaches, indicating a battle. Lifeform scanners detected activity inside, but otherwise the ship seemed dead.

"No, I don't like this," she agreed. "The good news is that the calls were legitimate. The bad news is that there still may be trouble. I'm seeing a lot of masses centered around the bridge, and there's also a fair bit of activity near the hangar area. Park us over one of those breaches, then we'll work our way inside from there."

--0900 Hours, Life Support Ventilation--

It sounded like a siren. While Errai couldn't vouch for the DJ's music taste, the sound of screeching metal radiating out from the ship's PA system was more than capable of disorientating. Now, it was his turn to 'distract'. He reared up a leg above the first grate and slammed down into it with all his force. He didn't look to see if the other warrior followed suit. It didn't matter. The kills were his.

The metal groaned, swinging down above the confused pirates; The mass of a fully armored Mandalorian dropped with it. The first 'client', a Weequay that didn't look much past adolescence, managed only a small whimper as a sword bisected him nearly in half before jamming somewhere deep in his rib-cage. With the blade still firmly planted inside him, Errai pulled back with force. As the now corpse dropped like a sack of wet meat, one of Errai's armored gauntlets caught the weight and held it supported like a makeshift barrier.

The other soul, a female with a light complexion sported by the Rattataki, had managed to turn towards the new threat and fire wildly at the man that was once her colleague in crime. Any hopes of her hitting home against the warrior behind him were dashed as Errai's morbid shield held. The woman's face became illuminated nearly in time with the pulsating music as rounds from Errai's carbine found their mark into her exposed chest. What armor she scavenged held to the first few shots; By the time the clip ran empty, neither armor nor flesh remained and anything that remained smoldered. Another target dropped dead to the ground amidst the dull red backlight of the ship's engineering section.

Two more lives belonged to Errai. And many more would follow suite.

He stood straight now, examining the damage that was wreaked inside of Life Support. No doubt there were others nearby. Nothing he couldn't handle. Although, cover would be tight along the length of the ship. And he'd need to keep moving if he wanted to stand a chance against any checkpoints that might hear him coming. No, it wouldn't do. There had to be an edge.

Life Support.

Or a lack of.

[member="Andy Khor"][member="Voska Noudir"]

had_abaddon_0900.png

With andy's music blaring in the next room over, Errai's maneuvers were carried through without a sound. Hell, Voska hadn't realized that he had dropped until he caught movement in the corner of his eye, staring down at the bloody mess as the tognath unleashed an entire mag on the pirate. He almost felt sorry for her. almost. He pushes himself over the grate and latches his mag boots to the ceiling of the vent before forcing the grate open, sending it falling to the floor with a clatter that was otherwise inaudible thanks to the music. he hangs upside down for a moment, only his top half visible from outside the vent. He gives the tognath an upside down nod and then puts a finger to his helm, activating his comms, else he'd be inaudible over the music as well.

"Doin' good, We keep this up and we'll be out in no time" He then releases his mag boots, sort of rolling mid air in order to land on his feet. mostly.

He stumbles forward a bit before regaining his balance. He draws one of his pistols and makes his way over to the doors of the life support room, fiddling with the controls for a moment and opening them. there was a small hallway beyond, lined with shelves containing oxygen breathers and other tools, followed by another door flanked by ventilation shafts on either side. Voska takes a moment to examine the ship's map on his HUD again before making his way over to the shaft on the right and side of the door, and ripping it off the hinges with his crushgaunt, sliding in afterwards. quite literally sliding in, or downwards really, it was like a playground slide that shot almost straight downward, all voska could do was cross his arms over his chest to avoid the drag and hope for the best while he examined the HUD to see where they were going, sadly it looked like this wasn't going to be that easy. the map showed a maze of ventilation shafts that spread out from various points of the ship, he'd have to be very careful not to take a wrong turn. He shifts his weight as a turn comes up ahead, aiming for the right side.

[member="Errai Munin"] [member="Andy Khor"]

"Hex, stop the music for now. It will look as a system error and we could use it again" said after lights came dancing below him. He dropped after Voska fell to the ground. Two corpses lay on the floor, both in horrific conditions for him to keep watching it. At least he hadnt eaten in hours, so no vomit presented. Music stopped in the whole ship and he could hear some sound of annoyed pirates through out the hallway "Sir, there are some pirates that got unconscious, with blood on their ears. I think some may be death" "Good job. Take a note to never mess with Mandalorian..." He dust off his clothes "Alright now where should we go? That ship of yours is not close yet"

Now that he think of it. There was nothing that stopped the mercenaries to jettison him in a pod towards a close sun, so he would have this in mind once. Maybe he could grab another ship of his own or something.

[member='Voska Naudir'] [member='Errai Munin'] [member='Jyoti Nooran']

--0900 Hours, Life Support--

The others dropped down behind him. The DJ looked close to vomiting while he dealt with his droid. The Mandalorian kept his composure as he continued forward through a nearby ventilation shaft. In all that armor, he dropped like a stone and quickly fell out of sight. Good. One less to interfere with his personal mission. The DJ was still there, and, unfortunately, he did not posses the armor that allowed Errai to continue breathing if the air became thin. Worse still, his death would deprive Errai of another advantage that could prove necessary seeing as he was the only one that could deal with his droid controlling the sound systems. It was in his best interest to keep him alive. For the moment. With that in mind, he picked one of the oxygen masks off the wall and tossed it in the DJ's direction. He'd need it soon.

Now for the logistics. He'd never been mechanically inclined. The sprawling machinery of Life Support looked as impenetrable as a swamp thick with vines. If he had any explosives, this wouldn't be a challenge. But he had lacked the foresight to plan for this. That would be his weight to bear. Now, he had to make do with what was available to him. His carbine, freshly reloaded, and his vibroswords.

Well, he had to start somewhere. He lashed out with both weapons, tearing into the exposed machinery. Sparks flew as tubes and cables were sliced apart by the crackling energy of his blade, and consoles burst in showers of light as bolts of energy lashed out at them. The area was bathed in a sunken red glow as warning klaxons began their long droning. He could feel a change in the air. Whatever was destroyed, it was important.

With the task complete, it was time to move on. The shaft the other Mandalorian had taken would act as a good access point, even if their paths diverged. He took the plunge, diving down into the ship's system of ventilation shafts. The arteries of the craft would transport him to his targets. He broke left as he fell further through the shaft. It was time for him to be unleashed.

Voska zips through the ventilation shaft, taking a right turn and landing on the floor in another room with a metalic clanking sound as crashes into a series of crates. he pulls himself up onto his feet with a low grunt and looks around. crates of various shapes and sizes, some illegal weaponry, run of the mill crimelord's cargo. and that smell. bitter, but.. well, spicy. spice of course, why where they trying to trade spice to pirates? no, there's no point. they must have been trading weapons, and someone tipped of the pirates about the spice on board. it made sense, this was in between their usual stop for the spice trade. if the hutt had informed voska of their cargo, maybe he could have ensured the silence of certain crew members.. it didn't matter anymore, what mattered was getting off of this ship. he turns and looks up at the vent, expecting someone to have followed him. he listened for anyone coming down the shaft after him, but what he got instead- was the various alarms set off by the now damaged life support systems "OSIK!" He shouts out loud. suddenly he hears a muffled voice from beyond the next door, which lead to the med bay.. He ducks behind another crate and draws his blaster, instinctively reaching for the second pistol, only grab at the loose cloth of his trousers. he had left his second pistol with the hutt, who had handed it to the dj. He'd better not lose it. speaking of losing it, who destroyed the blasted life support? He'd realize that the bridge probably had oxygen breathers later, and that his employer was probably fine. but for now he was stressing. he'd see the usefulness of deactivating it later on. for now he had bigger problems, The pirates on the other side of that door would be here any second now, and there was no telling how many of them..

Errai Had shot down the ventilation shaft almost as quickly as voska had, only he took a left turn. Instead of landing in the cargo bay which would have set him on the short path to the hanger, he'd been sent straight down towards the brig. if he didn't do something to slow himself down, he'd crash right through the grate and into the corridor between the holding cells. some prisoners of the hutt's where down in those cells, banging on the energy shields with their fists, shouting slurs in over a hundred different languages. who knew what their fate was meant to be. it didn't matter now though, most of them would simply suffocate without oxygen in the coming hour or so.. Taking the the path to the right would lead somewhere off towards what appeared to be a storage room of some sort, no telling what was in there. and taking the left path would lead towards more corridors that seemed to be moving upwards, perhaps towards the hanger. though, a series of clattering footsteps could possibly be heard coming from that direction, probably more of the pirates sweeping the ship.

Crawling again, but Hex showed him an updated map of the ship. Prison cells and a storage room in the direction where the mercenary was going, and the location of every soul in the ship. There where some looking into the bridge, apparently Hex was giving them fake locations. They would surely be shooting at the computers by now. Andy shaked his hea, realize that he stop moving, and that Voska was far ahead. He catch him up at the end of the bloody vent, when he heard footsteps approaching.

This time, when he tried to get out of the vent, he dropped to the floor like a rock, hurting his shoulder. Cursing out loud, he stood up "Take this" said throwing the weapon Voska gave him earlier. Andy ignited his lightsaber, facing the door "Hex can take the air from other rooms so it can last at least an hour and a half, so we better hurry" said, with the timer at a low part of his visor "Four people, apparently armed to the teeth and Hex can´t stop them from destroying that door. Now would be a good time to show a grenade or something to give us an advantage"

Voska was relieved when andy dropped down, he had been worried that something had happened to the others what with the delay and all.
He hadn't noticed his shoulder, else he'd have mentioned the very basic medical supplies in his ship, not to mention the med bay on the other side of the door.
He catches the pistol when andy tosses it, He looks at it and nods, a pleased grin forming under his helmet, it was good to have both of his blasters back.

The the light changes as andy's lightsaber comes to life with a low hum

"where'd the- Never mind.. Questions can wait" A lightsaber? A jedi.. there was no way a DJ had a lightsaber, hell even the best bounty hunters rarely got themselves a lightsaber. What was he doing here? was he here to kill voska's client? he wouldn't put it past the silvers to start using assassins, and the hutt might have pissed 'em off by now. Feth it, that doesn't matter right now, they were in this together, survival was the priority and voska only had suspicions to go off of. well, suspicions and a lightsaber. how the hell did he get that past security anyway?
Grenades, the jedi was right, Grenades would work nicely, and it just so happened that voska kept three thermal detonators on him at any given point in time.
He waits till the door opens, The thermal makes an electronic clicking sound as he pushes in the activation button and then hurls it towards the door "Oh Kark!" one of the pirates scream. Two of them launch themselves backwards back into the medbay on the other side of the door, saving themselves from the blast. but the two up front were too far ahead to make any difference, they had been caught directly in the blast radius, sending fragments of pirate armor and cinders all over the room.
As soon as the he heard the blast finish, voska vaulted over his cover and took cover beside the doorframe, waiting to ambush the other two pirates.

As they both rush in, voska fires his Grappling line, wrapping up the first pirate with the glowing gold energy line, and then using it yank him further into the room, figuring that the jedi could easily take care of him. he turns his attention to the other pirate, turning just in time catch his arm with his crushguant, saving his shoulder from what would have been a nasty vibroblade wound. He uses the strength enhancing properties of the crushgaunt to push off and send the pirate crashing into the wall before picking up the pistol that he had dropped, and ending that fight with one quick Violet Blaster bolt. He then looks over his shoulder to see how the jedi was doing
