SPECIAL FEATURES

Nutrient collection biot can consume biomatter in order to supplement natural healing.

Regenerative (over time, not instantaneous.)

Extreme pain threshold.

Throat orifice masked in palm can function as a hiding place for various tools, weapons, etc.

Tongue is prehensile and has many versatile uses. (1.5 metres)

Bile produced in Throat orifice has acidic properties, and can be induced to vomit at an enemy within proximity. This process induces pain to the user, but is extremely effective as an anti-personnel option. (2 metres)

Thought linked to host.

STRENGTHS

Isolation membrane: the biot has the ability to hold certain items in a membrane that is isolated from the acidic enzymes that coat its throat orifice. While limited in overall space, the object is virtually protected from any outside elements while within.

Reinforced skeletal structure: in order to fuse with the host, the biot burrows into the bone marrow and transforms it its throat. The result is a highly resistant structure that does not yield under extreme heat or pressure. While the other parts of the arm (flesh, muscle, blood vessels, etc) may be broken down and destroyed much like a normal human limb, the skeletal structure will almost certainly remain intact.

Feeding time: the mouth, tongue, and throat of this biot are not for show. Given the opportunity, the biot will actively consume food in order to sustain itself. It can and will devour anything it is able to latch on to. The host can suppress this, but the hunger will gradually worsen.

Tongue: possibly the wildest part of the biot it its lengthy, prehensile tongue. It is able to move rapidly and wrap itself around a target in order to draw them closer (for feeding, of course!) or bind them in place. This list of uses is not not exhaustive.

Bile spewer: the biot can be stimulated to vomit on an unfortunate victim. The enzymes it secretes have acidic qualities and can break down a wide variety of substances.

WEAKNESSES

Frenzied feeder: this biot has an appetite all its own. While it receives nutrients from the host body, it still craves more. Omnivorous, it will consume meat or plant matter indiscriminately to sate its incredible hunger. If it cannot, it will sap nutrients from the host, even to the point of detriment.

Interlinked nervous system: whatever pain the biot feels, the host will feel. It is grafted directly to the nerves of the body and functions as an appendage, so it has all of the drawbacks that come with that designation.

Numbed out: if subjected to a numbing agent or the effects of a sizeable shock, neurons linked to the biot may fail to fire off. Under these conditions, the biot may not respond or in the worst case scenario, it may act of its own volition.

Hatred of machinery: save for specified exceptions, the hand does not tolerate infidel technology and can not be used in conjunction with things such as blasters and common tools.

Slow regeneration: if a part of the biot is removed during conflict, it cannot regenerate itself for the duration.

Big break: under extreme circumstances, the skeletal structure of the host body may yield to external stressors. If this happens, the biot will begin to die, and unless saved by someone with the proper knowledge and/or skill, ultimately be lost.

DESCRIPTION

When Alkor sought out the Shaper Lim Hwa, he did so with the intent of restoring his arm to a proper, organic working order. Only, Lim wasn't interested in a simple transaction. The exchange had to be mutually beneficial.

Alkor, with his reservations gone, found this agreeable.

Lim wanted to test the full capacity of a human for bonding with a Vong biot. He had the perfect specimen in mind- something right out of Tsavong Lah's hellish book of war crimes. Splicing DNA from an amphistaff and a yammosk with Alkor's own, human biomatter, Lim was able to create a semi-sentient horror that bonded to Alkor successfully.

During the organ grafting, Alkor's arm fully died. In order to successfully bond the biot, the Shaper had to work under conditions where the Force did not exist. This required hasty work to ensure that the tissue did not fully wither, but ultimately, the biot bonded to his nervous system and his arm resuscitated.

Within hours, Alkor noticed the strange sensation… almost as though his arm were… hungry.
