DESCRIPTION

With the conclusion of the Confederacy of Independent Systems' cloning program and its subsequent formation of its Marine Corps, a need arose to effectively equip the elite members of the new unit with the best defensive measurements available. As such, Czerka Arms collaborated with the armorsmiths of Kamino in order to update and refit the Phase IV Confederate Trooper Armor that was in popular usage. In comparison to the original armor, in particular the Version 1, the most striking differences lie in the change of plating composition from pure Armorplast to Phrik. This change allows for the wearers of the armor to enjoy comparable protection from blasters and concussive forces of the original incarnation with the added benefit of lightsaber resistance. Plating composition aside, other differences consist of the update to the helm components. These changes were inspired by the helmet worn by the Confederacy's own Isley Verd, leading to an overall Mandalorian aesthetic and feel. All in all, Phase V Confederate Marine Armor is poised to grant its wearers a tactical edge on the field of battle, whilst adequately defending them from the various threats of the enemy.

[member="Tyri Lsu"] - First off, what they got was a 5000kg truckload of phrikite ORE. Using the iron ore/coke/steel process as an analogue for the phrikite/tydirium/phrik process, creating 9kg of phrik would take roughly, for simplicity's sake, twice as much raw materials. You may have purchased an awful lot of phrik, but we won't allow you to spam unlimited submissions from it. I'm also not wild about a fifth phase of marine armor for a faction that was created less than a year ago. 'Keeping up with the Joneses' is not an acceptable reason for a sub by itself. Also, you can't use minimal phrik (ie, in a weave as one of four structural elements) and still expect full-scale lightsabre resistance.

  • Doubled the total Phrikite Ore that was used for the submission, total reflected accordingly.
  • The intent is not to spam unlimited Phrik submissions. I'm just getting these out of the way before I dedicate them to my next slug.
  • Phase V is a reflection of canon. Phases I, II, and III were used by clone troopers and Stormtroopers. Phase IV was the first developed by the modern CIS. Phase V is a plate change/helmet update to Phase IV.
  • Changed the plating to full Phrik as opposed to a Phrik weave.
