SPECIAL FEATURES
  • The PG-series is highly customizable, though due to its size, most custom modifications are forced to cater towards a single purpose. By default, PG units are considered a near hybrid of astromech droids (namely the later BB units) and MSE-series droids, making them incredibly useful for ship maintenance and cleaning while still providing the accessibility to data that astromechs do. Due to its small size, PG units make for convenient companions, and share similarities to BD-series explorer droids. Some examples of PG-series modifications include:
    • A storage unit for items, souvenirs, and even lightsabers
    • A pet, companion, etc, whose components have been replaced with playful gags and toys
    • A bomber stacked full of rhydonium
    • A mini-sentry gun, whose components have been completely replaced by lethal weaponry
  • Unlike most droids, who are designed with little to no personality unless given the opportunity to grow into one, PG units are pre-installed with an obedient and loyal personality as well as an obsessive cleaning need. They are rather naturally protective of children, and enjoy playing with them so long as they are allowed to fulfil their duties.
  • PG units are able to traverse any terrain without issue, and don't need to worry about outside material entering its chassis and clogging up components, as its role as a cleaning droid means that any dust, sand, etc that it collects will be recycled into an internal receptacle. This receptacle can be accessed by opening your PG unit's 'belly', and taking it out to discard any collected filth - the PG unit may also decide to do this itself once the receptacle has reached its maximum capacity. This makes the PG-series an incredibly easy droid to clean.
STRENGTHS
  • Modder's Best Friend - PG units are very easy to customize, whether it be outside decoration or its internal equipment. While this can be taken advantage of in a purely aesthetic fashion, they can also be modified to be considerably deadly, such as a PG unit rigged with explosives. Due to their unassuming appearance and relatively weak exterior, this gives them the element of surprise, as enemies are often quick to dismiss their capabilities. Their easy modification can also allow them to bypass regular restriction bolts.
  • All in One - PG units combine many elements of BB-series, MSE-series and BD-series droids, resulting in a neat, adorable package. They excel at maintenance aboard ships and cruisers, and possess the ability to access data, manipulate starship systems, and relay intel. Their size makes them easy to bring with, and their resistance to water makes them excellent nautical companions.
  • Mindlessly Obedient - Unless allowed to develop its own independence and sentience, a PG unit by default will be loyal without question to its master. They have no self-preservation protocols, meaning they prioritise their task, mission and objectives over their own lives, making them excellent cannon fodder and servants. PG-series droids are mass produced at a low cast, making them almost expendable.
  • Low-Profile - At a mere 20 centimetres, and with a relatively quiet whirr of its internal motors, a PG unit is smaller than even a BB-series droid, making them incredible infiltrators. Not only is it beneficial for the droid to walk past unsuspecting guards, but its small stature makes it incredibly difficult to hit. Much like a BB unit, these droids are able to reach surprisingly fast speeds, with their repulsorlift keeping them from toppling over.
WEAKNESSES
  • Not A Fighter - Only armed with an electro-shock prod (one that is considerably weaker than an astromech's) for a last resort at self-defense, PG units are incapable of dealing any significant damage whatsoever without drastic modifications. In addition to their pathetically low damage output, their small stature makes them a very easy kill if they're hit. Their plating may prevent a one-shot from blasters, but a single blow is still dealing very high damage to them.
  • Jack-Of-All-Trades - Despite the PG-series having the combined strengths of BB, MSE and BD-series droids, they don't outperform any of them. A BD unit will always be better for exploring than a PG unit, and a BB unit will always be a more capable splicer and pilot.
  • Peabrained - Due to the small size of its droid brain, PG units are incapable of piloting starfighters and calculating hyperdrives like an astromech would, though they may still perform repairs to any damages.
DESCRIPTION
Realising the widespread success of the R-series and BB-series astromech droids, Industrial Automaton set to expand upon a new variety of droid, taking advantage of the appealing designs and personality popular astromechs have. Due to the rival manufacturer of explorer droids collapsing, elements of BD-series units were added as a way to incentivize companionship between master and droid. Designed to be a loyal, obedient servant, MSE-series functionality was the cherry on top, providing a droid that is both capable during missions while remaining efficient and responsive onboard starships. PG units are programmed with relentless enthusiasm regarding their assigned tasks, and do not require to power down in order to recharge, making them excellent 24/7 workers that come with a low cost. Most PG units are neat-freaks, obsessing over perfection and presentation. They have a (admittedly smaller) useful selection of tools, much like astromechs, and their bellies can light up, similar to a lava lamp - designed to put people at ease and feel a comforting warmth.

During the first initial years of their release, public began collecting PG units to act as pets, their charming quirks and determined yet gentle behavior making them popular among children. This did not go unnoticed by their manufacturers, as Industrial Automaton were quick to tap into the hidden potential of their newly created goldmine - a droid whose programming is easily accessible, leading to PG units with precise and customized personality traits, designs, and brand new jobs. Not before long, the PG-series droid was known for its capable utilities among missions as well as its lovable and easily programmable nature, its low cost adding to more demand. Each and every PG unit has the ability to be highly individualized, without the hassle and detailed coding expertise required for astromech customization.

Whether it be as a companion, a pet, a soldier or a lethal weapon, these utility droids provide an incredibly diverse array of functions with the ability to expand above and beyond its original programming, allowing you to do whatever you please with these adorable, moddable machines.

Please add this to the template.

Restraining Bolts: Easily modified to not get affected

This is not a resistance this would be a strength.

A power droid, capable of discharging energy and powering ships, blasters, etc

What type of power unit can it be customized with and what is the size limitations for ships? A small droid like this can't be powering an SSD by itself.

  • A bomber stacked full of rhydonium
  • A mini-sentry gun, whose components have been completely replaced by lethal weaponry

Armaments like this should be listed in the armament section and can be marked as optional customization's.

Whoops, will do. <3 Sorry about all of this. It's my first factory submission so I'm not the greatest at these, haha. I'll try and fix it straight away, thank you for your patience.

  • Affiliations include all possible factions, as they're designed to be utilised by as many people as possible. If there's a concrete name for this, I'll be sure to change it to that, but for now I've left it as "All Factions".
  • Market Status is now Open Market.
  • The ability to modify a restraining bolt immunity has now been moved to its Strengths.
  • The ability to power vessels has now been removed, in hindsight I'd rather it not be used like that.
  • The ability to modify them for lethal purposes has been labelled Optional Customisations under Armaments.
I hope this clears up all of its errors, thank you again for your patience.
