GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Unit Name: Permanent Hungering Marauders
  • Affiliation: Brotherhood of the Maw - Dakrul
  • Classification: Infantry
  • Description: The remnant Cha’ta’ri returned onto the mortal plane as Instable Hungering can bind their existence permanently by feeding on the living force. Sustaining their form with enough energy to bind themselves indefinitely. Those that successfully undergo this passage can then be recruited and equipped to serve the purpose of the Maw. These fiends are trained by Heathen Priests and Dark Lords alike dubbed Permanents. They are an abominable weapon, ancient evil given flesh, faceless as their master, not dead but neither alive, their efforts unified in their single goal of ushering in the prophesized apocalypse. Guided by the force, they have abnormal senses. Their sensations happening simultaneously in the plane of the living but also that of the dead. They live in a world of fire and fiends. Living bu dying. Their immortal bodies do not feel physical pain nor do they have any other needs than serving their masters and feeding the insatiable hunger for living force energies.
COMBAT INFORMATION

  • Unit Experience: Trained
  • Equipment: These warring Permanent Hungering are equipped much like the marauding gangs of the Maw, from blasters to slugthrowers and plasma repetiers they will carelessly wield whatever weaponry they are handed. A naturally crafty species the Cha’ta’ri will rush the battlefield to find other weaponry or gear they can leverage against their foes. Each of them crowned with an iron veil just like their master and they are each uniformly equipped with a self-crafted armour set. Salvaged metals from the glassed surface of Rhand are used to screw and bolt slaps of iron onto the hellspawn to offer them additional protection over their natural chitin armour.
  • Combat Function: A marauding Cha’ta’ri has a very simple role on the battlefield. As Undead insectoid soldiers meant to eradicate enemy ground forces and feed their own numbers by supplying bodies to be resurrected with every kill. They seek to take as many lives as they anyhow can before being catapulted back into the Nether having to await their turn to return onto the mortal plane. The reanimated monsters do this with an incredible amount of ferocity and devotion to the scriptures of the Maw. Each fiend honed by an edge of experience and formal training. It is their task to turn any battlefield they step onto into a rampaging horde of the dead.

Strengths:
  • Darkness guides me: Their natural sense striped they rely on the guidance of the force. They can see the flow of energies in other living things, witness their souls and hear the flames of hell flicker in the wind.
  • Willig to “die”: These are demos from hell. Death to them means to be returned to where they have dwelled for centuries.
  • Scraps and pieces: Naturally crafty they will build and put together weapons, shield even traps to aid in their annihilation.
  • Hellspawn: They're bodies zombified, they will act until destroyed or otherwise send back into the Nether.
Weaknesses:
  • Dark hearts: Longer exposure to light side energies breaks the curse that binds their souls releasing the force inside.
  • Sensations of the Force: Force dead matter is all but a black hole in their "eyes".
  • Tactically flawed: Being terrible tacticians they cant be expected to understand developments of battle and make grand coordinated decisions on their own.
  • Hungering: Bound to feed on the living force they can only maintain their form as long as they continue to draw in energy over time.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

When Dakrul first stood as a concise being in the hellfire of a certain Nether region he witnessed the mountains of dead and rotting Cha’ta’ris. A landscape of the forsaken. These were his people, his kin, brethren cursed by an ancient evil to remains in eternal limbo. Stuck within the bellies of the underworld unable to move on and become one with the stars.

Just as the Avatars had returned him to life he was instructed to return his fellow Cha’ta’ri back into the plane of the living. Years of experimentation and inaction resulted in the summoning of instable Hungering.

Now that he had proven he could summon an undying army, at the cost of flesh and lives he could continue to reanimate his kin to fight the battles of the Maw and bring upon the apocalypse. Those Cha’ta’ri that were able to secure themselves the necessary sustenance to entirely bond their existence back into the plane of the living is invited to join the cult of the Maw.

Once this was achieved the creatures were taken to the red tower to be trained and would emerge from its pits as a ferocious armoured horde of man-eating monsters and indoctrinated by Dakrul and other Heathen priests to kill.​
