Pecha Kucha

Yuroic was looking forward to learning more on Force Stun. He had read the basics of the Force power and in his mind understood it as a way to deaden the senses and perceptions of a being. Trying to put in a catatonic state, however, he wanted to do it without harming the being. Yuroic watched as the crabs being released from their cages, he gazed deeply at the crab. Part of him was draw to using Beast Control, a Force power he already had, however, he stretched his fingers on his left hand and focused his mind.

Deaden the senses. Make the crab become catatonic. Yuroic said over and over in his head. He focused and used the Force, his aim was to blind, deafen and render the crab unable to sense anything. It seemed to work, the crab frozen in place for several moments. Yuroic's heart skipped a beat as he wanted to praise himself for doing it first time, however, his concentration faltered and the crab scuttled away. Rubbing his face, Yuroic sighed as he knew he lost his concentration and allowed the crab to regain mobility. This power was more tricky than he realised.

"Concentration is key here; filtering out the noises, emotional or acoustic, is important for properly carrying out the power, especially at the beginning"

She watched both [member="Yuroic Xeraic"] and [member="Paige Blossom"] attempt to pinch crab nerves, but both people were distracted by the movement of crab pincers. She thought that, in the end, the choice of test subject was a good one; while simple to stun using normal means, will allow to develop concentration in ways that they would never suspect. This is where Paige's computational power should be handy, she thought, while realizing that concentration is another attribute whose relationship to what she calls computational power isn't exactly obvious at first glance. But she would think that increased computational power was a benefit from higher concentration, and not the other way around. Not deterred by those attempts, she would realize that perhaps the more Force-intensive of them should develop their concentration. Like one Eri would probably have realized just how much concentration she could muster when she was trained in other Force-powers. And likely Paige, Yuroic as well: they demonstrated as much while attempting Electric Judgment.

"So you will have another attempt and then you may also attempt to herd the crabs back into their cage"

Paige nodded to Jessica after watching [member="Yuroic Xeraic"] similarly less than successful attempt.

In a similar vein to her previous attempt she closed her eyes and imagined the crabs against a darkness. There's that snapping again. Can't let it get the best of me. While she had gotten past the point of putting her fingers in her ears, as she doubted that would even blocked out the sound enough for her to completely ignore it, she needed to get rid of that noise or find a way past it that would enable her to actually do what her master had asked. Once more, she imagined pinching the nerves of the crab and rather than let frustration over come her as it tried to fight against her, attempting to remove itself from her grasp again, maintained the concentration necessary to maintain it in a catatonic state.

She assumed around 10 seconds would be proof enough that she had at the very least grasped this power and then released the grab before walking up to it and beginning to slightly nudge it with her shoes back into the cage from which it emerged.

Yuroic psyched himself up for another attempt at the Force Stun. Yuroic could see that Paige was able to use it for a short period and he gave her a proud smile, she definitely had some skill in using the Force, moreso than he showed when he first arrived at the Order. Yuroic turned his attention back to the crab and pushed his palm out. He once again focused on the crab, removing its senses and made it difficult for the crab to move till it was immobile. Holding it tightly in place, without harming the creature, Yuroic started feeling confident in his ability to stun a creature.

Standing up as straight as he could, Yuroic used the Force and moved the creature with the Force into the crate. Yuroic felt sorry for the creature a little as it was being held in prison, however, he understood that it was well treated and likely didn't feel imprisoned as he would. Moving with his crutch under his left armpit, Yuroic moved in front of Jessica and gave her a short bow of his head.

"Thank you for the lesson, Master Med-beq." Yuroic stated before turning to Paige. "And it was fun to learn with you Paige."

"Thank you for coming here today" she tells both students after both cages holding crabs are closed.

She was satisfied with the Eol Sha crabs now being herded back into the cages they were brought there in, thanks to the newly-learned Force-stun as used by [member="Yuroic Xeraic"] and [member="Paige Blossom"]. Jessica must have realized that they had what they wanted out of her, and it's all in a day's work. Of course, Paige's progress was an area of concern, in the sense that she never seemed truly able to gain the independence of action. But, so long as they know what to use a power for, they should be able to make responsible use of it. By now, the projectors, the crab cages and what other equipment used in that particular Pecha Kucha night are being sent back to the temple. So perhaps they should be able to get the best use out of it on the battlefield. Especially Yuroic, where using Force-stun may avoid unnecessary bloodshed. For now, anyway, the time for action has come, and she could foresee the problems coming, coming in from the southern systems. Which was a serious problem brewing to their south, and she usually trusted her subordinates to do their thing.

"If you ever need to learn additional Force-powers, you know who to ask and how to reach those people, including but not limited to me"
