Peace. Heal. Love

Sochi had been one of many padawans who had devoted themselves to studying and training. There had been campaigns going on, but she hadn't partook because of her constantly trying to hone her skills. The closest she came to a mission was her being apart of the escort of Vice Chancellor Fenn. After that encounter she knew she wasn't yet where she wanted to be. Her lightsaber skills were progressing rather well, but her force skills she wasn't stressing as much as she felt she should. Today she was doing just that. She had finally caught up with Master Rianna Organa while she was briefly stationed in the temple. After discovering the fact that there was now a teacher who was capable of teaching her how to heal through the force, she immediately sought her out. She hadn't worked with her before, but she had heard of the councilor. She awaited within the halls of healing, where she would meet up with her and they would begin her training.

As she stood awaiting the arrival of the Master, she was greeted, and walked past by many medical droids, and assistant healers. Some she came to know quite well because of the amount of time she spent visiting this place, and just in the temple period. Especially with the war intensifying, there was need for more healers. It was a valuable skill to have.

There was a padawan in the hall waiting for her. Rianna had taken a great pause when told there was someone waiting to speak with her in the hall of healing. Her last meeting was with a stalker who needed help for a friend that had proven quite interesting, it still was.

What could young Sochi Ru need. Rianna walked into the hall, and looked around for one that would seem slightly out of place, one waiting to which her gaze fell upon one. Rianna smiled and then approached, "Hello, I am Rianna. I understand you are looking for me" Rianna slid her hands into her long sleeves, "How may I help you?"

Sochi had been waiting patiently, her eyes closed, and her hands in front of her body near her waist, interlocked. She slowly looked up, opening her eyes to see that she had finally been approach by the Master she sought. Ru smiled back, returning the warm welcome she had recieved. Sochi bowed to show respect. While the woman before her began to speak, Ru nodded. "Yes, im padawan Sochi Ru. I was hoping you could train me in healing through the force." She said softly, "That is if you have the time, I'm sure your very busy with other affairs." She followed up. Sochi remained professional in the presence of the councilor.

Rianna folded her hands, "I always have time to teach, come walk with me and tell me what you know of healing right now" Rianna knew that many did not get beyond healing themselves, for the healing of others could deplete the healer. And it was often hard for healers to understand that the mere wave of a hand did not instantly fix a broken bone, but here started it healing, it took several treatments to mend a bone completely.

Rianna's own training had taken time, as well as she had gone to college on Coruscant, and interned at the hospital, and the temple. Being a healer also required caring, how so? It would be easy to take the healing arts and hurt someone, to break a bone, or twist a muscle. Yes knowing the way the body worked was also a weapon.

Rianna began to try and sense Sochi Ru, and her intentions.

Sochi remained professional around the councilor; not only because she was one, but that's how Sochi always was. Ru nodded when the woman told her to walk along with her, she did as she was asked. "Well Master Organa, I'm only familiar with the concept of the skill as I've studied up on it in the archives. Which is why I sought you out when I heard of your arrival. I figured I shall ask if you would mentor me, teach me." She said softly.

Sochi's intentions were pure, this was something she was rather passionate about learning. She never came to the revelation that knowing how the body works could be used as a weapon. She simply wanted to know how to help people further, and in a more personal way. With the many campaigns going on she knew some of her fellow Jedi would be in the heat of battle, including herself. Shall a medic ever be out of reach, then it could be Ru, herself to be the one to take on that role.

Rianna could sense no malice in the padawan, she had the disposition for what it took to learn healing. "Healing takes patience, the greater the wound the greater your patience must be" Rianna was glad for this calm in the storm around her.

Temple life was always busy, Council Members constantly moving around, and then the Hall of Healing, and a project Rianna was trying to do, something that she hoped would help the Jedi Order. "Sochi Ru, I will teach you healing, you have a gentleness of spirit which is a great comfort in the healing arts" Rianna had finally made their way outside, to this small area that she had been working on for a meditation garden.

"Healing requires calm, to be able to focus the force to do what is needed. You start with learning how to heal yourself." Rianna loved the garden, it was so relaxing, and a great place to teach. "Tell me Sochi Ru, what did your studies tell you, the ones from the archives?" Rianna was curious, it had been sometime since she had read those volumes.

@[member="Sochi Ru"]

Sochi felt grateful that the councilor saw a gentleness to her. She definitely hadn't any malice or other motives for learning this skill. It was mainly to help those who need it. They would come out to a small area, which seemed to be in the works of becoming so,e type of, garden possibly? Nevertheless it had potential to provide an abundance aura of calmness, where one could gather their thoughts, and focus.

She nodded her head as they both conversed. The master told her what her first task would be, and it would seem the scenery was perfect for it. As they seemed to stop and go more into detail about her studies into the skill.

"Well from what I read up about it, this power was used to diagnose and treat the ailments of patients. It was able to mend severe injuries, even major damage to flesh and bone. Though there were limitations, as Force-users were not seen to regenerate lost matter." She responded softly.

@[member="Rianna Organa"]

"Very true but remember severe takes time. Too many who have walked the healers path think that they need only wave their hand to heal a severe wound, a small one yes. Such as a cut if not too deep can be mended, the healing sped up" Rianna had not had a student in a long time, she needed to remember patience, and to explain clearly. Some of her interns often looked at her trying to recall her instructions as she had talked so fast.

"Many of the iniates that do not pass trials serve in the Hall of Healers with the many tasks given to us. So while the main purpose of a Healer is medical, we are still Jedi" Why had Rianna said that, she had once a padawan that thought being a Healer would keep her from all duties, no it does not. Other duties come up, helping the public, going to other planets to help with diseases, or to prevent them. To build that which was sacred, to follow the warriors into war.

The life of a healer, perhaps not as notable as the Ambassadors, Councilors, Advisors and Warriors but just as important.

"To begin training we will go into the part of the Hall of Healers where the younglings have come, they often come in with minor scrapes and cuts from training" Rianna looked around, "Have you family Sochi Ru?"

@[member="Sochi Ru"]

She nodded at the masters emphasis on the fact that more severe wounds took more time. It wasn't a task to be taken lightly depending on the severity. It would only make sense. This was already proven to be a very great lesson. She made sure to make a mental note of what she was saying.

As they talked further, she had known of initiates not passing their trails, and coming to help out in the Halls of Healing. It wasn't uncommon. It was good that the councilor added that bit, seeing as it must be important enough if she need to touch on it. Though Sochi had no plans on using this knowledge to get out of anything she was supposed to be doing. It would defeat the purpose.

She subtly smiled, and nodded at the masters request of them traveling to see the younglings that have made a visit to the Halls of Healing. It would seem their training had gotten just a little rough. It happens. It's all apart of the learning process. "Oh, that sounds like an excellent place to start. Though to answer your question Master, no I don't have any family, none that I know of at least. I've been raised here since I was a child." She said softly, quietly clearing her throat.

@[member="Rianna Organa"]

"Many are raised within the temple starting as a child. As they were identified, their presence recorded into a holocron and then when the time is proper a Jedi goes to the family" Rianna thought about that with a hint of sadness. "Besides we are our own family are we not, the Jedi." It was to her a comfort in times when she remembered what happen to her own family.

"Most first learning always enjoy working with the younglings they trust so easily and ask only that it not hurt more" Rianna herself had started with the younglings, she still preferred them as their force sensitivity still so new to them she could spend time with them telling stories and talking about their training. They were a bright spot in any day their minds so open.

Rianna exhaled, "Shall we start today Sochi Ru, or do you prefer to being first thing tomorrow?" She wanted to give her time to do whatever she needed, "Be prepared to spend a couple of hours in the morning, the rest of the day can be for your other studies" Rianna would not want to interfer with training that Sochi Ru's Master had for her.

@[member="Sochi Ru"]

Hmm it would seem thats one thing Sochi hadnt realized about the records they keep on the orders members. Maybe once she obtained the rank of Knight she would return to her homeworld and reconnect with her roots. It was a perfectly viable idea, but that would be after she completed her training under her master.

Sochi was rather excited about this lesson, this one she looked forward to the most. There was just something about being able to mend the wounds of your fallen allies, and knowing the body of sentients, that was interesting. Althought the skills could indeed be applied to combat, those werent her intentions at all.

"I would love to start today Master, you see, ive been looking forward to learning this for quite some time. When I heard of your arrival I was rather content; probably more than usual." She said softly in response to her question.

@[member="Rianna Organa"]

"Very well then we shall keep walking until we reach the Healers Hall." Rianna nodded Sochi Ru was very eager, this was good in a padwan one who wanted to help so much.

Healers Hall, Deep inside the temple

There were other things here in the Healers Hall there was a reason the healers were in this portion of the temple here they guarded something of value. If anything were to happen to it Rianna wondered, worried how would they replace it. but her mind must not focus on that right now, now was training.

Rianna moved over towards the room where the younglings played as they waited, once Rianna entered they all stopped and bowed. Rianna bowed as well, "Everyone this is Sochi Ru, she is here to help with the injuries you all received during training." Rianna picked up a datapad, she looked at Sochi, "there are a few in the ward itself with split lips, and perhaps a broken finger" Rianna looked to the ones playing whatever was their ailment it could wait for now.

Rianna headed into the Ward.

(OOC: I'm sorry for the late post, just been really occupied :( )

Sochi nodded in response to Master Rianna, training would commence as soon as they made it to their destination; The Healers Hall. Ru was rather pleased to see that they would be spending some time with some of the younglings. She had indeed spent much time with many of the clans, when she would assist some of the Instructors with their training of the next generation. It brought on a sense of nostalgia, she would always think back to when she was apart of the Hawkbat clan, and they traveled with one another all over the temple, training together; the works. she could hear small laughter before she entered the room, once they took their final steps, Sochi was introduced to the kids. She automatically took on a smile, a professional one that was. Once introductions were made she entered conversation with the councilor to go over her task. As they went over some of the injuries some of the kids had sustained, the walked, with Ru following behind Rianna. They were about to enter some other room, possibly full of other patients? specifically more young ones.

@[member="Rianna Organa"]

Rianna before she even entered the room gave off feelings of calm, no need to frighten the children. Once inside the room they could see three children, a young twi'lek, a rodian and a human male. One of the things Rianna loved about the Temple, you met every race, treated every race. She smiled as the children smiled back.

"Master Rianna" The twi'lek girl showed her lekku, a deep cut had been wrapped, "it hurts" There was no shame in admitting to pain. Rianna paused before "Sharey, what happen?" Rianna carefully examined her. Sharey pointed, "they did it Master" Rianna half turned, "oh really" The boys stopped. The human male, named Aaron, and the Rodian named Melik. The human male had a very prominent black eye, the rodian looked swollen.

It was a fight, so now the mission two fold. Rianna looked to Sochi Ru, "Younglings fighting Sochi Ru, do we not have rules for that?" Rianna looked form one face to the other Sochi was a knight her words carried power to these younglings.

@[member="Sochi Ru"]

When they entered the room they would automatically lay eyes upon three children, one of which she already knew. They were approached by a twi'ley girl who had one of her lekku wrapped up. It would appear to be a deep cut of the sorts, Sochi wondered what happen. She knew about their training, but it couldn't have gotten that far that their would be a gash on one of the children's body parts such as this. Having lekku herself she could understand that it wasn't a lovely feeling.

Once the young girl was asked what had transpired, she seemed to cast the blame one two other boys: a human and a Rodian, the latter she already knew. Sochi shook her head slowly. She could understand that it was possibly an attitude, but that was no excuse for this type of injury. It would seem they were also not without their own bruises and cuts.

"In fact we do Master," she said softly before taking a couple of steps closer to the others, her hand on the twi'leks back guiding her towards the boys. "Now, young ones we do not fight each other. Regardless of if you were playing or not, all three of you seem to have been injured in some way. Now I want for all of you to apologize" she said sternly, she a older them without losing her temper.

It would seem Melik was a little reluctant to apologize, he had always been a little stubborn since she had known him. "Melik, apologize, you had just as much role in this as the others." She was rather content when he finally apologized. She didn't quite enjoy his stubborn traits, but he would most likely grow out of it when he matured.

It was the gentleness that would make the children comfortable, mixed with the firm hand of rules but not dictating them so harshly that the children felt reprimanded. Rianna sensed a little something else, "Sharey, how did Aaron get the black eye?" It was not unheard of, but to this level among the younglings it was a concern.

Sharey looked down, "I hit him Master" Rianna nodded, "ahhhh well there will be no more hitting each other, or anything unless it is part of your learning. We are all Jedi to fight among ourselves serves no purpose, now let us see what we can do about your injury" Rianna looked to Sochi Ru and motioned for her to come. Rianna had bacta, and a wound cleaner. "First we must clean the wound so that infection does not set in" Rianna took a swab and wiped the surface. Sharey wiggled some.

Rianna held out the injured lekku to Sochi Ru, "it is like many skills we have to channel the force here" Rianna pointed to the injury, "to weave the muscle and skin together to close it" This was a small task, but it was one that was the basic of all healing. "Would you like to try?"

@[member="Sochi Ru"]

Sochi stood up, and patted Melik on the head. Ru cared for the younglings, after all she was planning on becoming an instructor after she finished her self training, and was promoted. That was later on in time though. She watched as Rianna questioned Sharey about Aaron. Hmm it would seem she reacted out of emotion and struck him in response to him causing her pain. It was natural, especially for kids of their age. In time they would learn to control these emotions.

Her attention turned to the Councilor when she motioned for Sochi, she had bacta and a swab clearly to clean a wound. It was intended for the mini Twi'lek. The gash seemed be deeper than she expected. She watched the young girl squirm from the cleansing of her lekku. Then Rianna held out the lekku to her, after explaining that the wound had to be cleaned first before any further treatment to ensure there would be no infection.

Sochi came in a little closer, her eyes opened just a tad bit wider than normal. "Sure Master" she responded softly. She took a deep breath and placed both of her hands above the gashed lekku. She closed her eyes and began to channel the force through her hands. Some time before this training exercise she had learned the Force Channel form. Having become well versed in it to apply it she began to use the ability to strengthen her connection to the force. Hopefully with this sustained ability she was able to perform hasten the healing process as intended.

@[member="Rianna Organa"]

Rianna nodded, "very good, focus the force to the wound" Rianna smiled this was very good, the healing of others was difficult as directing the force to them rather than onto an object, or in defense. Healing required calm of the spirit a true sense of self, and the strong desire to help others.

Sochi Ru had shown her that she was capable of these things, and in doing so was quite capable of healing arts such as this, first aide. If anyone could sense the force it was always during healing times, the gentle flow of the force could be felt by everyone. The calming effect that all healers radiated. This clear focus of duty within healers also made them the most reliable for other jobs within the temple as well.

The healers ward not only had jedi healers, it had interns, and workers from among the Jedi that had failed the trails but not gone home they stayed here. Within the temple. Rianna looked at the wound as it slowly wove itself together and Sharey smiled up at Sochi Ru. It wasn't often that others were allowed to heal the younglings because they were sensitive during their development.

(I apologize, it seems my post never went through :( )

While her eyes were closed o maintain her concentration she could hear the praise coming from the Jedi Master. This didn't seem as hard as she thought it was. She was rather nervous because she knew the body was a delicate thing, and with the order being so diverse, one would have to adjust to the many species located here. Nevertheless she had proven herself wrong.

She could feel the tingling sensation radiate from her hands. The emotions of calmness had worked its way through her body as well. It must've been the fact the Sharey was comfortable with Sochi healing her, besides the fact that Ru was capable of doing so. Sochi truly enjoyed this aspect of helping. It wasn't lowed her to be more involved, on a physical and personal level. She opened her eyes to check over the wound, it had seemed to heal up rather well. A more skilled healer of course could take care of something like this quicker, and with greater result. However she continued to heal over the gash just a little longer to make sure that it was indeed taken care of. This time her eyes remained opened.

@[member="Rianna Organa"]

"The flow of the force connects all living things, just as we are all connected, bones, and flesh must also connect to keep the flow smooth even. Where there is blockage there is an unnatural flow, where there is a break the force stops, all we need do is guide the force to what needs to be done, and weave it" Rianna remembered those first days of trying to see patterns within the force, trying to see where they converged. Now rather than watching them struggle so hard, Rianna guided them. Some did not handle blood well, or even the age of those in need. Being a Healer took as much courage as being a warrior, the warriors fought and saw death, healers fought with death.

Rianna watched, not only did she watch the wound she immersed herself into the force to feel Sochi Ru, and Sharey. She felt the certainty of the Jedi as she worked with the new task, easily guided, healing with the force should not be so difficult it just required great concentration. Small wounds simple easily woven together, something larger now blaster wound would take longer, and then there was the unexpected. How to deal with death.

So much to be learned so much to teach. Rianna held a gaze on Sochi Ru, "Very good" She looked at Sharey, "how do you feel?"

"Good Master" The child smiled.

"Well then, if Sochi Ru is satisfied with your condition you are released for duty, but Sochi Ru must say it is ok, she was your healer today" Rianna looked to Sochi Ru, "Does she feel good to you Sochi Ru, does the force flow freely with her now?"
